Afternoon Tea at The Berkeley Hotel
This season also includes our Moschino million dollar bill-topped pistachio delice. Emilia Wickstead’s red velvet gown and the neon pink Molly Goddard design that became a dressed-to-kill costume on Killing Eve. Finally we pay homage to Karl Lagerfeld’s last work for Fendi, Richard Quinn’s latex eye-catchers and the much talked about Le Micro Chiquito bag.
Your tea also includes a collection of miniature savoury skewers, taster spoons, elegant canapés and tea sandwiches. To drink, choose a loose leaf tea from our extensive collection.

I can’t remember the name of our waiter only that he came from Cornwall. He was brilliant. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Loved the way they made my daughters 30th birthday so special
Our experience at the afternoon tea was amazing. Our 2 granddaughters (aged 3 and 6) will have a long lasting memory of this wonderful experience. Service was perfect.
We were running late due to our flight being delayed..they were so accommodating.
The decor was so pretty.
Our waiter was amazing, very attentive never felt rushed. Even had a happy birthday plate made for my sisters 60 th bday..
The sandwiches and pastries were delicious and very filling..the choice of teas were plentiful..
I can't remember our servers name but thank you so much..you were awesome!!
Amazing afternoon tea from the traditional afternoon tea. The sandwiches are tasty and unusual. Lots of thoughts and craftsmanship put into the design of the cakes. We are offered to try different types of tea & coffee and the waitress are very willing to help us to choose.
Service is impeccable, however they do want their table back after 2 hours.
May I suggest afternoon tea at Berkeley is more suitable for ladies. I will be back with my sister.
Afternoon Tea at the Berkeley was amazing! As soon as we entered the hotel, the service was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable and kept us informed and answered any questions we had! I would recommend afternoon tea at the Berkeley to anyone who visits London!
We didn't like the dessert at all its fashionable dessert and fancy it must be tasty too we couldn't eat it it was so bad unfortunately comparing with the price i am so disappointed
Excellent location, service & food. Would highly recommend
Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea at The Berkeley for my friend's 40th birthday. We were treated like royalty and my friend especially enjoyed the thoughtful card and plate of treats that she was presented with. The tea itself was really tasty, well thought-out and presented. It was hard to pick a favourite as everything was so good, but I could happily eat the biscuit treats until they came out of my ears! Great to be offered regular top-ups of savouries and tea (we only took advantage of the latter, we were stuffed to the gills!). Our hostess was the right amount of attentive and friendly and thoroughly deserved her tip and service from all of the staff was exemplary. Yes its expensive, no worse than any of the other top London afternoon teas though and the whole experience was a massive improvement on a hugely disappointing visit to The Lanesborough for my own 40th. I look forward to a return visit in the future to see what the new season's menu has to offer.
Excellent afternoon tea! Recommend
London Loves an afternoon tea ... there are some incredible interpretations out there but Pret a Portea at The Berkeley is still the go-to yet to be beaten experience ... ❤️
Excellent food - the pastry chefs are veritable artists. Sadly the service was disappointing.
The sandwiches selection was amazing! But the cakes was rubbish 🤢just nice design but it is NOT tasty at all !
Sweets and tea were exceptional. Champagne was very mediocre for such a price. Finger food interesting but nothing very special. Environment is very nice. Strong service. I would repeat the experience, but would order a la carte
Incredible experience, friendly and attentive staff. Love the Berkeley
Really great afternoon tea. The only issue we had was the service they treated us differently than others. We did not get someone explaining the menu and we did not had the perfume sprayed on Miss Dior perfume cake. The manager was really good he apologized and took out the service charge.
We were lucky enough to sample the Dior themed Prêt-à-portea afternoon tea at The Berkeley last Sunday and it was phenomenal !
The service was impeccable and the setting very luxurious.
The sandwiches themselves were scrumptious and so were all the couture themed pastries.
The Berkeley offers a large variety of teas and coffees and due to the blistering heat outside, one was also able to get a cold version of most teas on offer.
I loved every single minute of it and I will definitely be going back in the future.
Overall a great experience but we missed having scones to have a full aft tea. Definitely will be back for the new menu when it launches , very well put together, nice service and lovely atmosphere.
No Scones No refill
only 6 sandwiches, 3 savory little treats, 4 individual sweet treats with 2 biscuits to SHARE and 1 mini cake TO SHARE
LOW value for money, TOO EXPENSIVE for this amount of food
Taste of food is good though
Requested for change of seats, totally ignored
I came here with my another half. Mentioned that I was going to celebrate our monthsary together here but there were no special arrangement made. Which I was looking forward and ended up quite sad.
For the dessert, I chose the Pret a Portea by Dior. It’s basically a collaboration with The Berkeley and Dior. First served with sandwich that tasted normal. The tea I chose the long jing tea (Free refil and tasted awesome). The dessert was created with Dior bags, heels and dress inspired. The taste is normal.
If you are here for Instagram purpose, strongly recommend you to come here! The price may be steep but it’s worth for one try; just for the experience.
Special Birthday for my Mum and we had the most amazing experience. The ambience, decor and attention to detail were second to none and I would highly recommend coming here for a special treat. The staff were attentive, explaining everything in detail as you went through the journey of the Pret A Porter Afternoon Tea. Extensive range of teas to choose from, combined with the range of sandwiches and savoury dishes, topped off with the Dior themed cakes. One of the best afternoon teas I’ve had and only wished I had another reason to go back. Well done to The Berkeley Hotel and thank you for making it such a wonderful experience for us all.
Amaazing treat! Great staff and ambience in the restaurant.
It was very nice afternoon tea
It was an unforgettable place. The food is delicious the decor and ambience are so elegant.
We have visited for afternoon tea now for a number of years. Always so lovely and out of all the London Afternoon Teas this is our favourite , we simply love the themes and the next day we went to the Christian Dior exhibition at the V&A which made the experience complete.
The Collins Room is a pretty space where tables by the windows offer wonderful light. The venue and Dior inspired afternoon tea is a magnet for social media wannabes who would rather spend 45 minutes arranging food and plates and taking numerous photos than actually enjoying the people they are with or the experience.
The service is very good although there are lengthy explanations regarding the food. I think I nodded off at one stage as I was so bored with it all. A second pot of tea was long in coming despite a “rush” request. As the restaurant was not particularly busy I suspect the delay was due to how the tea is prepared.
The six finger sandwiches were uneventful but adequate. When asked by the waitress at sandwich three what my favourite was I replied that I would let her know from the other remaining three. Quite frankly, the first three certainly had not produced a favourite and nor did the remaining three. The vegetarian option requested by my friend produced the same unenthusiastic response.
The cakes were a delight to the eye and clearly showed great attention to detail. However, their appearance was not matched by their taste. Like the sandwiches, decidedly average.
With further servings of sandwiches and cakes not being offered and at a cost of £155 for two (including one glass of champagne) the experience was overpriced but nevertheless a pretty venue with good service but disappointing food.
Fabulous treat. This was a few notches above a standard afternoon tea, hence the price. The staff were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful food & so much of it. Lovely dining room but a bit on the noisy side - could benefit from more noise absorbing soft furnishings. Would definitely like to visit again & am very happy to recommend.
Completely amazing - Great food and service. Highly recommend
Beautiful Dior Themed tea Servive.
The staff was wonderful. The food was beautiful to look at but average in taste.
Desserts were delicious and beautiful.
I would have preferred to skip the meal portion and just enjoy the Dior themed desserts and teas/ cappuccinos.
Definitely a treat. The food was lovely and so were the staff.
It’s the second time I’ve been but this time not as good value as the first time which was years ago. This time it was less food and more expensive.
This was a special event for a 14 year old girl, very into fashion. We went to the Dior Exhibition first and so this tea complemented it perfectly. You are charmingly talked through all the beautifully presented cakes. All the people who took care of us were adorable. Biscuits shaped like shoes, cakes fashioned into handbags, it’s all perfect. There is surprise after surprise. A great success. Eye wateringly expensive but nobody cared.....!
Very expensive for the overall quality. The presentation of the cakes was impressive but in terms of taste it was window dressing. Basically sponge cake with vert pretty coverage. I would have liked to have scones too.
We had to request to change table because we were set to sit in a dark corner, when tables next to the windows were available. The food was superb. The desserts was outstanding, beautiful and delicious. The sandwiches were not mind blowing but good. We were surprise there were no scones. Also the Dior main pieces (the shoe and jacket cookies, and Eau de Perfume cake) were not provided for 2 but just 1, so we had to share. That is disappointing because we paid for 2 afternoon teas but had to share the the food and didn't each get our own. They offered to bring us an other set of cookies but never did. The service was ok, depending on who was helping us. Overall it is not what is expected for the price paid but we are paying for the Dior theme.
Lovely afternoon tea , cakes were delicious and I very rarely consume cakes but I must say each cake was worth every calori ! Three downsides , coffee a little bit weak , we weren't asked if we could like some more tea whilst having our cakes , the first waiter was fantastic full of charismas and charm ! The ambience was lovely and my daughter felt truly special on her birthday , they would of liked a cake to bring home in a special goodie bag - that would of been a nice touch .
The service is impeccable but I felt that the savoury aspect let the experience down. I was however, so impressed with the nut free dessert choices for myself.
Very bad service, I’ve found a hair on the sandwich so they didn’t charge me for one person. I told them three times to write a note for my mother to celebrate Mother’s Day and they didn’t. They didn’t even pack the sweets for take away which I clearly asked for. Very disappointed !
The Dior theme afternoon tea is wonderful. Everything is great.
It was lovely
