It was Amazing! Every single staff member we came in contact with was delightful!
The bread for the sandwiches was so thick that we had to cut away 2/3 .
The pastries were pretty but store bought and not great tasting
The scones were excellent and the clotted cream was very tasty
We will return later in the season looking for improvements prior to recommending to others
We loved having High Tea here. Well appointed hotel, staff attentive and professional. Delicious food, and tea varieties.
Expensive but a great experience...it was too hot in the room... it would ne much better if menu is more specific..like the tea, it was a lot and we should've just ordered one but it was our first time and we didn't know we ordered too much...
Lovely tea in a great atmosphere. Service is excellent as usual
amazing experience, Maria was a charming host, pastries and sandwiches delicious
I’ve had high tea here at the Chesterfield several times however, haven’t been in quite a while. We dined in the Library which is my favorite room at the Hotel.
The service was fantastic and the ambiance is charming. The presentation was lovely and they made our birthday celebration special.
I was disappointed with the clotted cream which was not as I had expected. It had the consistency and flavor of whipped cream.
Having lived in the UK, I know it to be thicker and tastier.
Aside from the aforementioned, our experience was lovely.
Booked high tea for my mom's 80th birthday celebration. She said it was wonderful. Her two friends were very impressed with the service, the food, the presentation and the atmosphere.
Lovely “old Florida” charm, great tea service
Wonderful tasting sandwiches and pastries. My favorite tea was a mango infusion.
We chose to be inside and it was quiet and intimate. Kyle was an outstanding server... Can't wait to go back!
High tea in the outdoor courtyard was lovely! Great amount of food for the price you pay vs. high tea in other places (London, NYC, etc), so much so that we took about 30% of it home in a box. Our server Kyle was a rockstar too.
Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was definitely quiet at the hotel, but that was honestly preferable as we were able to catch up without yelling over the normal restaurant din. Definitely a fun experience that brings you back to a more polished era and would recommend on a day when it’s not too hot and you can sit outside.
Service was impeccable and the scones were to die for!
We sat in the main dining room, since it was too hot outside. The hostess was lovely. The staff was setting up for dinner at 2:00, therefore very noisy. Plus, our waitstaff was very nice but lacking in attention. We were finished for at least 20 minutes, with dirty plates in front of us. Nobody repoured our tea. The scones were fair at best. I don’t mind the prices if it were warranted. Would not recommend it. We’ve had tea numerous times, but never as disappointing as there.
Had bought tea there on Valentine's day with my Beloved. The tea selection is pretty light. The sandwiches we're delicious although they weren't as delicate as a high-end tea could be. They were, is say 3 bites Ginger sandwiches as opposed to one. The scones were delicious. I just wished they provided me than one per person. The service was professional and unobtrusive. $34 for traditional tea was decent value. I certainly would return but it's also check out other ones in the area and compare.
The best Valentine Tea in Palm Beach County!
Delicious, a choice variety and great service. Definitely on our list!
Scones were great. Also the sandwiches - nice afternoon.
The food and service were outstanding. It’s close quarters in the library, but we wanted to be inside. We could hear the group next to us, but we were able to hear each other eve when we spoke quietly. It was a great choice to celebrate my mom’s birthday. It was pricey though.
Excellent service and high tea for a girlfriend’s 40th.
Lovely time with my daughter
My family took my mother to tea for her birthday, and we all enjoyed the experience. The only hitch in the afternoon was I had made the reservation for outside, and we had to wait a bit while they rearranged things, but they did take into consideration my note regarding my sister being vegetarian (they even prepared an off-menu sandwich for her, which she enjoyed very much). Our food was also delicious, and they didn't skimp on clotted cream and jam for the scones.
When it was time for the "Happy Birthday" song they brought out an adorable plush bear toy to sing it which was hilarious. Our waiter Rojay was very attentive without hovering, friendly, and engaged with us without being pushy. All the staff with whom we interacted were all smiles and very courteous.
The hotel is beautiful and the outdoor seating in the garden is lovely. It was a balmy 70 degrees on our visit but I think it might even be nice in the summer since they have huge umbrellas, and fans.
Very nice atmosphere to enjoy and afternoon. Teas I've been to in London were a little more lively with some background musicians. I think we were the only ones here (end of the holiday so people were probably traveling) so it was just quieter then I would have liked. All in all we'll come back.
Had a lovely time...good food and service...price was higher than expected...for special occasions only...two small children at next table for a noisy atmosphere...but a unique experience in town!
Christmas Tea with Book Club
We arrived before our friends that were joining us and I stated that I wanted to pay the bill for all 4 of us. The lady that seated us said she would inform our server.
When we were finished with our tea I asked the server to bring me the check. She stated that our friends had already paid for all of us. I was embarrassed and humiliated as I had invited our friends to be our guests.
Service was disappointing overall...
Lovely special holiday celebration with best gal pals
We would have enjoyed sitting in the leopard lounge because it looked like it would have been a little luckier, however it was closed because of an event. The library lighting was way too bright and we were the only people there. We found the lights and shut off a few to improve the LED glare. There was an electric fireplace with a tea table set up in front of it, but the hostess said it was reserved. No one showed up for it. It was a bit too quiet in the library and there was something g missing. A place with so much history, I’d expect a bit more personality. Maybe Soft jazz would have added to the ambience. Our server was very polite and attentive to our needs, the food and tea was enjoyable. I would go back because the price was fair and the food was good.
The afternoon tea at the Flagler museum is a 10. This tea was a 7. Drinks were the best. Tea was some of the best we have ever had. If you are going just for tea or tea and champagne it was amazing. The problem was the food. The food was average. In fact the food was average as in bought at Publix basic. The one exception was the heated scone with the crime fresche. That was amazing. The desserts were average to excellent. We spent 125 dollars. We had high tea and two glasses of champagne. Drink wise it was wonderful. Hands down the best selection and presentation of teas I have ever seen.
Flagler museum has a view and ambiance that is much nicer. The food is so much better. The tea is good but not on par with the Charleston. However the whole experience all together. Flagler any day of the week. Price of admission to Flagler plus high tea is basically same price as Charleston high tea.
When you are at Flagler everyone is having high tea. When your at Charleston people are next to you having lunch or playing cards. Very comfortable but less ambiance.
Beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. But the overall taste of the tea tasted very watered down and although we highly looked forward to the accompanying snacks of sandwiches and pastries due to the self praise listed on the menus, we also found the taste to be just so and not amazing. However, the sconces were absolutely delicious. For something at this pricepoint of $30 per person, I do think there are better places.
It is a lovely enjoyable experience. The service and food are excellent!
What a fabulous way to celebrate a birthday with the ladies. Having high tea in the restaurant was so much more elegant than in the Tea Room. We all loved it. Everyone agreed it was one of our more memorable gatherings. The service, ambiance and food were outstanding.
Overall the experience was very good and the service was outstanding. It’s was nice in the Leopard lounge but our only complaint was the music being played...80s pop music is not a great Background theme for afternoon tea. We asked for classical or jazz but the staff said it could not be changed.
An overall pleasant experience.
Great location. Always quiet when we do tea time. Food is exquisite, especially the homemade scones.
Amazing afternoon with my daughters before they leave for college. Would highly recommend it.
We’ve had High Tea at the Chesterfield in Palm Beach many times and it has always been such a special afternoon. The food is delicious and the service outstanding. We can’t wait to return!
Lovely intimate tea with my wife. Food was deliscious.
$250 to serve 4 adults and 2 children a plate of sandwiches and some cakes and tea
Gratuity was mandatory on the bill and then after signing more gratuity was asked for
The outdoor fans are filthy and covered in dust
Mens bathroom had stains on urinal tiles
The tea was well made, the only highlight of the occasion.
The whole place needs more care and attention by management and owners. I felt ripped off and never going back.
Very special environment! Private room for a proper tea. Lots of different selections to be shared. Food was excellent!
Not one of the best Afternoon Teas I had. When I arrived they said my table was in the library, The Library is a tiny cramped room and in it were two businessmen having a conversation, ours was the only party in there so I requested the main dining room which had many available tables but had to wait for a table to be set up. The sandwiches were good but nothing special, pastries were ok and the scones were overdone tea selection was limited however our server was pleasant and hat helped the experience. The price paid was what I would expect to pay for such a lackluster afternoon tea.
Lovely afternoon introducing the nieces to afternoon tea
