Afternoon Tea at The Fitzwilliam Hotel
The pub offers wonderful locally sourced and freshly prepared food, served up alongside locally brewed cask ales.
Today the Bell is a hub for the community offering a family friendly atmosphere, roaring log fires in winter, and a warm welcome for dogs and muddy boots in the bar. In the warmer months, we have plenty of seating in the sun or at shaded tables in our rose garden, or on our patio. We offer freshly cooked, locally sourced British food, complimented by our specially selected wines by the glass, carafe or bottle.

Good food but limited choices. I think they were changing staff.
Food was outstanding. Ambience fantastic. Highly recommend.
This was our second visit to the bell under the new landlady and we had bought friends with us.
We had the Sunday roast which was as plentiful and tasty as we remembered it to be from our 1st visit. Would definitely recommend.
Fabulous meal as always. Great service and lovely venue.
I had 2 courses, both courses we're out of this world, the roast beef was one of the best I've ever had and my wife's 2 courses we're also sublime. Would highly recommend The Bell.
First time at the bell and it won’t be my last. The roast was amazing. Great service. Would highly recommend.
Excellent food, great service and a warm, friendly atmosphere
Lovely pub with great food and very friendly staff!
The food is really good, Sunday roast is top notch! This has the makings of a good little pub!
Lovely pub with higher than average menu and food quality. Friendly and welcoming. Lacking ambience merely because it was a quiet Tuesday lunchtime during covid times. No reflection on the pub.
An excellent meal. We all really enjoyed it and very friendly helpful service. We would definitely return!
The bar area suited us as socially distanced at large table. Menu was varied and enough choices to suit everyone including wheat free.
An excellent & enjoyable meal was had in nice surroundings.
A great Sunday roast, plentiful but not overloaded. Good value for money.
We had a lovely meal in a lovely village pub. The staff were well prepared with covid regulations and actively enforced precautions which made us feel very safe. The food lovely and well priced. Would go again.
Very friendly staff, excellent food and beer. We can highly recommend the pie of the day and the chargrilled asparagus salad.
Top class interesting pub food. Dishes you will not find so frequently. And very dog friendly.
The Bell is full of character. Judith is lovely, as are her staff. The garden is very well maintained and colourful.
What a fantastic Sunday roast & the staff team were delightful.... idyllic pub.... if you haven’t been before then you’re missing out!!!! Book your table ASAP for top quality food and a fantastic welcome!
Enjoyed a really lovely Sunday roast. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Smashing pub/restaurant tucked away in a sleepy village.
Slow service and food unremarkable. Pretty pub, could be so much better.
Had to wait a little while to be served and our order taken . After that couldn’t fault a thing . Friendly staff , helpful with food choice . Clean areas .
Great Sunday lunch, food was fresh and plentiful. Staff were very attentive.
The food and service were good. Just what we wanted from a country pub.
Very quaint country pub, food was great everyone enjoyed their meals and all reasonably priced
Awful service .... 10 mins to even be acknowledged at the bar... over an hour for food to arrive....30
Mins for empty plates to be collected.. no offer of more drinks or dessert.... so we paid and left! We felt invisible! Food was the only positive part of the trip! No apology from staff. 2 overworked waitresses and some staff stood doing not a lot!
A nice location for a nice dinner with the special ones. Totally recommend, from the service to the food. Menu is not huge, but a nice collection of tastes.
Had heard good reviews and seen good advertising so booked wasnt dissapointed enjoyed the food good service and value beer kept well and nice wine lust for country pub will revisit
Friendly staff, dog friendly and delicious Sunday lunch.
First class meal and good menu choice. Highly recommend.
Enjoyable family lunch, good food, not too expensive, decent service
We had a lovely evening, food and service was good, very professional nice to see the Bell back up and running
Good food and lovely wine looking forward to coming back
Great food; interesting menu, more than "pub food". Very COVID 19 safe, hand sanitiser, one way system. Able to eat in the garden & served by a helpful staff. Will definitely visit again.
