Afternoon Tea at The Grand
We had a lovely time. Nothing was too much trouble & the staff were very helpful. A very enjoyable experience
We decided to have an afternoon tea for two through opentable. The reception mentioned that our name are not in the system, good thing they are not busy. We love the sandwiches and asked if we can have a top up (to name a few, we’ve been to Wolsely £32, Sketch £65, Mews of Mayfair £25 etc. with free top ups) They served another plate of sandwiches but got suprised for additional charges later on. It was indeed an experience. We should have cross the street instead. (Wolsely)
Service was fine. Food was good but not worth the price.
I've been to The Grand numerous times now and found it to be a constantly great experience. The staff are always exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. Great experience, great value for money and great food will definitely keep me coming back for more!!
This was my first experience for Afternoon Tea during my stay in London it was sub-par compared to second experience at One of the lesser known locations in London.
Service was terrible from the time I entered. I also had to Track down a server to top up my tea.
I brought my boyfriend here from New York for his first afternoon tea. He absolutely loved it and it was perfect to show him a british classic Afternoon Tea with a nice classy spin! Everything was almost as amazing as my date.
A nice location near Buckingham Palace to have Afternoon Tea. Selection of items included was nice and traditional. Tea/coffee choices were all also good.
Lovely food, service and the ambiance! Staff are great!
Good value afternoon tea. Surprised they did not have Darjeeling- only English breakfast/earl grey or then herbal teas. Thanks to Fathy for looking after us very well.
Lovely atmosphere and surroundings, staff very friendly and good afternoon tea
Very nice & friendly staff! Amazing atmosphere especially while waiting for Christmas. Good prices and good food!
We can't fault the friendly excellent service. However we were disappointed that it's just not enough sandwiches which were quite delicious especially for the price per person.
The building is quite nice and the staff were friendly but the afternoon tea was lacklustre with few sandwiches and very dry scones. We were charged for a top up of tea, which were tea bags, not even proper tea. I would not recommend for afternoon tea.
I had the afternoon tea which was nice even though we asked for vegetarian food except for the fish. Was good presentation. Because I wear a vail I asked for a straw to drink my drink with and they gave it without hesitation :)
After a previously good experience at The Grand I took my dear friend who was visiting for and afternoon tea. Everything was nice as expected, with the mild disturbing odours of sea-food which unluckily was ordered right next to us. I believe The Grand, being popular as it is for tea and cake, should consider a designated area for meals and for tea as smelling the seafood with my cupcake wasn't the best experience.
My wife and I went to The Grand for afternoon tea. The overall experience was made disappointing and irritating by the service we received from our server. She showed us no courtesy or friendliness in service but instead was dismissive, arrogant, and simply rude. The food and tea was average. The ambiance was good.
It was a good experience all in all. My friend and I also had dinner at the Grand. This was also great.
Booking again xxx what to try the whole menu, the staff are amazing helpful and friendly xxx
I WOULD NEVER GO AGAIN!
My daughter booked afternoon tea for me as a Christmas gift. The whole experience was awful with no customer consideration provided.
The location and decor is beautiful, however if an establishment wants to portray an air of elegance, splendour and extravagance, it should provide the customer care associated with this.
It was a terrible experience with rude staff who shipped you in and out for a quick buck!!
