Afternoon Tea at The Grove
Great service, great location, excellent food. Good choice of sandwiches, cakes, scones and tea/coffee.
It was a lovely afternoon so we had a table outside in the sun. The service was excellent, the food was lovely. We then moved inside when it became chilly, it is a lovely mature house, cosy, will try the massage hut sometime soon.
Very good and tasty would recommend. The hotel is quite old but comfortable and clean. The cost was ok could have been a tad cheaper.
Very good service. My wife’s gluten free requirements were well catered for.
Seemed a bit over priced for what you got, lovely hotel and staff just didn't seem to be what you would expect for the cost. Overall a good experience though.
We had afternoon tea at the Grove. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The tea itself was absolutely delicious. Sandwiches were delicious and the cakes were superb - we couldn't finish all the cakes, despite giving it a good try! Would strongly recommend the Grove.
Run down hotel, very musty. Needs a lot of attention.
Bit disappointing. Boring selection of sandwiches - egg, ham & salmon - all of which were a bit dry like they had been prepared earlier. Scone was overcooked to the point of just before burned. One large cake, the sponge of which was also overcooked & near burned. This large cake was too much and out of keeping with the other nice smaller ones. Really nothing special sadly and probably a bit overpriced with a lack of flair or imagination. Needs to be better when there are so many afternoon teas out there.
Environment and staff were very good. For two oldies with smaller appetites it would have been better if the cakes had been finger size. The posibilty of a second pot of tea could have been offered. However the experience was a pleasant one which with some tweaking could rise to and excellent one.
Enjoyed our afternoon tea very much. Atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Our only suggestion is, it would have been nice if we were asked if we would like more tea/coffee.
Booked afternoon tea for me and two friends on our weekend getaway, was a lovely place and as it wasn’t busy for afternoon tea were left to get cosy in front of the fire with loads of tea, cakes and prosecco to enjoy!
We really enjoyed our tea. The staff were very helpful. The only slight negative comment was that although the down stairs toilet was easily accessible for disabled people there were no hand rails in the toilet which made it very difficult for my disabled Mum to use the facilities.
Very comfortable and yummy afternoon tea with my mum and my daughter.
Lovely afternoon tea in a delightful setting, highly recommended
Enjoyed our Afternoon Tea. Nice surroundings, cosy and quiet. Food was very nice and reasonably priced. Not really disabled friendly but manageable. Would certainly recommend to friends.
STUNNING LOCATION - afternoon tea for four. Beautiful building, very friendly staff and great food. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again.
A very welcoming and cosy place to spend an afternoon with friends or someone special. We had a lovely afternoon.
Myself and my sisters have been to the Grove twice for afternoon tea,It is a lovely place and the staff always go the extra mile to make your visit special, and very good value for money,we will ccertainly be going again,
Very nice indeed, friendly staff good food and comfy lounge to relax in after tea. We walked through the woods to the coast path too, made it extra special. Would recommend cream tea
Really enjoyed this Sparkling afternoon tea, which was a present from our son and daughter-in-law. Prosseco and an afternoon tea selection of savoury sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and a great selection of cakes - what could be better! It was our first visit to The Grove and we will certainly be back again to try their other meals. The staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful.
One of the best Afternoon Tea's we have had, everything was homemade and very tasty. We have already recommended it to a number of people and we will certainly be returning next time we are in the area.
Received an afternoon tea voucher as a gift and chose this place as we happened to be visiting Norfolk - I've been for several afternoon teas and I'd count this one amongst the best - lovely home made cakes and really friendly service - would definitely recommend
Excellent afternoon sitting in the garden for afternoon tea. Good service and pleasant staff.
The Grove was our holiday destination and we booked the tea as a treat to look forward to after the long drive and boy was it a treat! The food was delicious. The service exemplary. And the setting comfortable and charming. I cannot recommend The Grove highly enough.
Made most welcome when we arrived. Given a local map showing walking routes from the hotel.
On our return we enjoyed a first class afternoon tea. Comfortable room, a relaxed afternoon.
Up there with the best teas we have we have had in the last couple of years.
