Good service, however it was a very overpriced afternoon tea. It didn't offer anything special and wasn't worth the price. I wouldn't recommend and won't be returning myself.

Wonderful way to celebrate a special family occasion. We were extremely well looked after during our Afternoon Tea, and really enjoyed the explanations regarding the desserts and their relationship to the art work on display in the hotel. Staff were outstanding.

The food was gorgeous. Staff were very attentive and customer service was fantastic! Definitely will return. Thank you!!

Birthday treat, excellent table, really warm table service, excellent sandwiches, seconds offered but where they have improved is in their pastries, previously they were good now they are International excellence standard. If you can book this during the week, its even quieter and you'll be treated even better.

Afternoon Tea in the Merrion Hotel is a truly wonderful experience - the atmosphere, the friendly staff, the delightful menu and the amazing pastries linked to art in the hotel...cannot recommend it highly enough

Afternoon tea was excellent. Everything so fresh and tasty. Plenty to eat and even took some home. The selection of teas was outstanding and unique. Dietary requirements were not a problem and finished off with an art tour of the hotel. There was no rush or fuss and surroundings were elegant. Well worth a visit.

A lovely experience. The fire was blazing on a dull day which made it a cosy and relaxed atmosphere which I thoroughly enjoyed. The lady looking after us was fantastic. Very pleasant, friendly, helpful and informative, nothing was too much hassle and always checked in on us. A great asset to the experience even though she was very busy. Sadly did not catch her name but she really made the experience. Throughout our time, all staff we encountered were all super lovely and clearly great at what they do. The tea experience itself was excellent. Plenty of scones, cakes and sandwiches all which were great, in particular the scones. We even had some leftover which went down a treat later on. The second course was the winner aesthetically and was a treat to the palette. The intertwining of the art throughout the tea was done very well especially love the way the second course has been created to represent three selected individual pieces of art in the Merrion. Funnily enough, I am not a tea drinker (I got this as a treat for my mam and sister to mainly enjoy) however, this really did not matter, there is something for everyone which was really great as I sipped on the merrion macha specialty beverage, which was delicious, and hot chocolates. A really nice treat that I would highly recommend. Stunning.

Went to celebrate my friends cancer free diagnoses - everything was perfect , staff amazing ,couldn’t recommend it enough .

Lovely ambiance, service OK- we had to chase up additional tea/coffee that did not arrive after we ordered it but overall our waiter was polite and knowledgeable. Sandwiches lacked seasoning, battening and lemon cake were lovely.

The staff were brilliant and so friendly. The food was amazing and the presentation was outstanding. The atmosphere was comfortable and was an enjoyable experience! Will definitely be back!!

Fantastic afternoon at the Merrion. The staff were very engaging and informative and the whole thing really is an experience. Zena looked after us and she was very kind and helpful. The food was delicious and the vegan platter was incredibly well done. With the current climate, social distancing was adhered to very well and we felt very comfortable and safe the entire experience. On top of all this, the grounds of the hotel are stunning. I would recommend this to anyone!

Another delightful visit. Afternoon tea here is always a relaxing and luxurious experience. This was my first time bringing my 5-year old. He was made to feel welcome from the outset. The quality of the food on the children’s menu was exceptional and he loved the activity book provided.

Thank you for your wonderful effecient and dedicated staff who made us feel so welcome. Food etc was delicious and I was so touched by the fiftieth anniversary message on the plate. It just lacked a little bit of atmosphere due to the fact that we were the only diners in the beautiful big drawing room. Sign of the times. Glass of champagne was delicious and so appreciated. All excellent and hope we can return again MAEVE BUCKLEY

The waitress, whose name I cannot remember, I wish I had paid more attention (Ludmylia?) really made it a lovely afternoon. Her personality and professionalism were really appreciated.
Beautiful surroundings and an opportunity to view the art work made it a very enjoyable few hours.
The Concierge and Doorman were also very friendly and helpful.

Overall a very pleasant afternoon.

The Merrion is a beautiful hotel with exquisite art work so it is the perfect venue for a decadent afternoon tea. We had champagne to start and a range of delicious teas with our food. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were all very good and surprisingly we had space for the patisseries which followed. These confections were inspired by the different art works in the hotel and were beautiful to observe. They tasted good too but they didn't all match their description which was a pity. We also regretted not asking for a table away from the door to the terrace as we had to witness a lot of the comings and going of the staff which was distracting. Overall though, a very special and well orchestrated treat.

It’s a fabulous experience and a real treat. Guests are made feel very welcome and comfortable. You are not up against the clock!

Gorgeous afternoon tea at the Merrion, delicious vegan and vegetarian options and loved the ‘Art Tea’ recreating art from around the hotel. Beautiful calming atmosphere and lovely staff. Such an enjoyable and relaxing afternoon.

Attentive, helpful and friendly staff along with the gorgeous food made for a fabulous afternoon tea experience.

Delighted to return after the reopening. Service and food remain exceptional. Beautiful rooms and tables are always far from each other so no significant change noted in terms of layout for social distancing.

As most of Dublin was closed for covid-19 we had a very quiet time, the food and service were very good, but the hotel neglected to make a special effort for my daughters birthday even though I had emailed and telephoned them to organise this, so that was disappointing. other wise we had a very pleasant meal and the staff were friendly and helpful despite it being a difficult time for them.

It was an extra special experience, the art booklet that accompanied afternoon tea was interesting.

It was fabulous from start to finish! Would highly recommend! :D

We did the vegan art tea and although there was an initial hiccup (I left a note about us needing the vegan menu and for some reason it didn't go through with the reservation), they were still able to accommodate us. Bruna was our server for the day and I cannot say enough lovely things about her. She made us feel warm and welcomed and was absolutely the sweetest. The food was off the charts, wish I had this place locally. We ended our trip in Ireland here and we would do this again and again if we could. So worth the price, absolutely delightful experience for any tea or coffee fan.

Overall the experience was excellent. The service was excellent and staff were extremely friendly, they couldn't have done enough. It was my mothers 70th Birthday, hence the reason for attending the Merrion Hotel. They her feel very special, so for that my sisters and I are very thankful.

The only 1 piece of feedback I would give is I think you could really improve the ambience by introducing soft background classical music. I feel that would really make a very positive experience and improve the overall ambience.

Amazing service with the waiting staff checking in on us several times, topping up our drinks and bringing the second course to us when we were ready. Also great to get a lovely box to bring home the treats we couldn’t finish. Delicious food especially the sandwich selection and scones. Really fab experience

The setting was lovely, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, but the food was mediocre. The sandwich selection was interesting, the sponge cakes were tasty (if a little uninspired), and the dessert plate was delicious, but the scones were rock hard, the cream was tasteless, and the lemon curd was bitter.

There was an exceptional range of vegan options, which is always appreciated.

I would probably go again for the ambiance, not for the food which was not as good as what I make at home.
