Afternoon Tea at The Savoy
Guests can also indulge in Afternoon Tea in this comfortable and intimate spot accompanied by the hotel's resident pianist. Afternoon Tea at The Savoy is an enduring custom where guests can choose from a range of teas served with finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream & jam and a mouthwatering selection of cakes and pastries.
Afternoon Tea starts from £65.00 per person.
A wonderful shared experience with a good friend. Outstanding service and food. A must in London.
The arrival was a bit rough but the rest was fantastic. They remembered it is our anniversary called us with our names and presented an extra lovely card and a cake.
Definitely a must do
The service and the food were really lovely. However, we were seated right next to the kitchen, which meant staff had to walk past our seats almost every moment of our stay. This really spoiled the experience somewhat. As the all tables were fully booked, we did not feel that we could ask to be moved to a quieter spot. Overall it was still a nice experience that I’d certainly be looking to repeat in the future.
Good experience, got transported to back in the days. Totally worth it as a special experience
I have been to the Savoy once before, although it was an enjoyable afternoon, sadly they didn't quite live up to my expectations. I've had better experiences in other high end establishments.
Staff were pleasant and charming but service was too slow. After two hours we pointed out we hadn't yet had any cake and they were pleasant, gracious and apologetic, offering a slight discount on the bill. The cakes, however were not up to scratch on this occasion and the fine patisserie is what I look forward to most of all.
Wonderful experience- what a beautiful place. Just visiting the bathroom is an experience! The lounge is spectacular. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. The service was very attentive.
It’s expensive though. The sweet treats were a little disappointing- but didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the experience.
My wife and daughter loved it!
Lovely place , service and food. Just a bit pricey once service charge is added on top aswell
Had a fabulous time. Unfortunately my sons tiger scones were rock hard. By the time they were replaced he didn’t have time to eat them and they had to be boxed up. Service was a bit slow.
Loved the setting and music
Afternoon tea at the Savoy was a wonderful experience. Excellent food and very attentive service. Will definitely come back!
The service was impeccable, the tea delicious, they played happy Birthday on the piano and I received a small birthday cake,a fabulous day for a special occasion.
An absolute delight . The setting was great , the sandwiches and cakes were amazing and extremely attentive staff . I would highly recommend.
The service was amazing. It was so beautiful. The tea and food was delicious. I absolutely loved the piano playing. She was incredible. It was my birthday (and a few others) and the pianist played Happy Birthday and they brought beautiful little cakes with candles out for all of us. Very nice touch.
It was a lovely afternoon tea. But it was no better than any other afternoon tea, anywhere else.
The price is exorbitant and I don't believe it was anywhere near value for money. I would certainly tell people they don't need afternoon tea at the Savoy just for the sake of saying you've had afternoon tea at the Savoy. You could certainly have just as pleasant afternoon tea somewhere else for a third of the price.
We were rushed from the start as it turned out they had only allocated us two hours for afternoon tea - not enough time for a big meal meant to be relaxing. Because we hadn’t finished they moved us to the bar - not a nice environment for afternoon tea. Really disappointing considering it was £75 pp.
Unfortunately , we were dissapointed by the experience overall.
High tea in London in such an establishment should be close to perfect.
A young , rather smug gentleman, apparently the floor manager took our order and must have totally blank us out and went on break it seems .
We ordered high tea but had to remind the server as they were about to short us the "main course" since she didn't seem to have details of our order
We mentioned to him as well that we were celebrating my partner's early birthday and while observing every other guests getting a lovely little cake, he seemed to have forgotten to mention that to his staff as well.
We would have loved to order an extra glass of Champagne, but once again , while it was offered to other guests , our flutes were removed quickly after we were done.
As we were almost done we our tea pastry course , we had to ask if we could finally get our tea served (also selected with the same gentleman) and the wrong tea was brought to us.
By the time it finally was brought to the table , we were pretty much done with our pastries.
I was expecting much more out of The Savoy , a Fairmont Property .
If They can't get it right ...who can?
All that for 90 Pounds per guest + 12.5% "discretionary service charges.
On a positive note , the tea sandwiches were delicious , the salmon main course very well prepared , while we didn't care for the goat cheese and tomato course, at this time of the year , I was expecting tasty tomatoes, they were unseasoned and very "flat".
Tea pastries were good.
A ton of great food for our high tea experience while on family vacation! Especially loved the scones. Service was excellent!
Superbe ecrin. Un afternoon tea à faire absolument. Un must !
This was the most perfect experience. Every person was just lovely. The food was delicious. The tea was wonderful. And it was our honeymoon after being married for 14 years. The delightful staff presented us with a lovely little cake and a handwritten card.
One of the best experiences we had in London! Pure class and delicious food in a lively environment!
Everything you’d imagine high tea to be plus 100.
Lovely afternoon tea!
Bertha and Luis where great host and we had a wonderful time with our girls, memorable experience
Wonderful 2nd afternoon tea at the Savoy, my mum's 1st time. We were lucky enough to be seated next to a celebrity too (great people watching), and saw a great display of an Indian wedding party enter through reception in their gorgeous colourful outfits. Great food and atmosphere. We will be back.
The staff were extremely attentive and the pianist added to the welcoming and relaxed ambiance. The food was plentiful with offers of extra sandwiches, tea and our waitress was happy to box up any leftovers for us. A wonderful, special experience that shouldn’t be missed!
We were seated early which was wonderful. The Savoy is beautiful. So elegant. There was a pianist to entertain us as well. The service was wonderful. Very attentive and informative. The sandwiches were delicious and pastries were yummy. Tea was prepared perfectly. They continued to refresh the food and tea. Such a wonderful afternoon. I cannot wait to come again.
Not worth the wild price other than the atmosphere. First pot of tea was hot but second pot was just refilled with hot water and extremely strong and bitter. You can’t pour yourself so you are left waiting for a waiter. Best to ask for different tea after first pot so it’s fresh. Avoid extra charge for Salmon which swims in a watery brine. Sandwiches were very good especially smoke salmon. Cakes were not impressive. Recommend the Globe theatre high tea for half the price that includes drinks. Also, you’re supporting the arts.
Sandwiches well filled and mini quiche excellent. Brioche good. Scones average. Lemon curd very good. Cakes very disappointing as the sponges were dry. The chocolate and raspberry tart delicious, but although the other three were well presented, they were either too sweet or tasteless. Service not as attentive as it could have been.
I just want to say that our waiter named Charlie turned our afternoon tea into a wonderful experience for all of us.
I would certainly ask for him to be our server again as nothing and I mean nothing was too much effort for him. A very professional and happy person that made us feel so welcome. Carole Hancock.
Loved this experience for afternoon tea at The Savoy! Great variety of food options, extensive tea list, and overall wonderful service and environment!
If you have a child that might not like the regular tea menu, you must pre order the Tiger option beforehand. You may order high tea or afternoon tea at the seating. Note the goat cheese in the high tea menu is cold.
A beautiful setting for my friend’s birthday. The staff were friendly and welcoming and even gave her a card and special cake. The pastries and scones were exceptional.
Very nice afternoon tea Food was good. Service was attentive and went out of their way to welcome us.
The finger sandwiches were extremely good, would have enjoyed having seconds. Everyone enjoyed their tea, and the ambiance makes it worth a visit, at least once. Service was very good, as you’d expect. Scones were awesome too, nothing bad to say about the food.
My brother and I choose the high afternoon tea. It was fabulous. The service we received was outstanding, the chef and the waitress made sure that nothing I ate had any cream in, and the chef even made a special dish for me.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Savoy and will be returning in the future.
good food, good service, fancy surroundings, live piano
Excellent service, staff very attentive, really appreciated the birthday song/cake and card for my sister. The whole occasion was very special for us.
Lovely experience. Childrens afternoon tea was fantastic as well.
Our evening was so beautiful, the service that we received was impeccable. I booked this for my sister as a birthday treat and she really enjoyed herself, we had a great evening. Many thanks to the Savoy team especially our waiter and waitress who had excellent customer service and made us feel very special!
