Afternoon Tea at The Savoy
Guests can also indulge in Afternoon Tea in this comfortable and intimate spot accompanied by the hotel's resident pianist. Afternoon Tea at The Savoy is an enduring custom where guests can choose from a range of teas served with finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream & jam and a mouthwatering selection of cakes and pastries.
Afternoon Tea starts from £75.00 per person.
Thank you for a very special afternoon! It was an amazing experience.
Beautiful room with wonderful staff and really good cakes and sandwiches. The Lady who played the piano played a little loud.
Fantastic experience. The venue is beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the tea was lovely. The scones were among the best I’ve had. We’ll definitely be back.
The Savoy is undoubtedly the best place for Afternoon Tea. The food is beautifully presented, very fresh and plentful. The service is absolutely outstanding, nothing is too much trouble and all staff in the Thames Foyer are an asset to the Savoy. You can see why they won the best afternoon tea award!! Totally deserved.
We did have a lovely time, but I go to places like the Savoy for the service not the food! My tea cup was always empty, I would like to have my own pot of tea on the table! There were 3 of us and when they brought out the cakes there was only 2 of each cake, so not one each to try, we ended up sharing, not great when you’ve paid £85 each! Bar staff were amazing and the ambiance was 5 star
We always enjoy the great first class quality and service.
Very Very expensive. The staff put a lot of pressure on us to be on Time but our waiting time was so long. Service OK. Food ok but not the price
It was great!
I was able to have an amazing time there.
It was my daughter's birthday. So a special occasion. Everything was beautiful even down to presenting a piece of cake with a candle (along with a few other people!) The only downside was the seats we were given was a bit low in comparison to the table.... hense rated not 100% .
Classic old world atmosphere - lovely afternoon spent for a special occasion. Would highly recommend a visit at least once in a life time.
Really nice tea with excellent service. We were seated in armchairs so it was rather uncomfortable having to lean forward to eat without any back support. The staff were very attentive.
On a Wednesday afternoon, the place was packed. We started with champagne and the selection was excellent. The finger sandwiches were tasty and refreshing. The next course came with the scones, cookies and dessert. Everything was good and the star is the scone. They are so good. If you have room (we didn’t), order more.
They have a large selection of teas and you can try different one if your first choice is not to your liking.
When we were there Chef Gordon Ramsey sit next to us. He was very approachable and easy going. So when you go to Savoy you may see some celebrity too.
Lovely ambience and beautiful setting. Excellent pianist. Food nice but not exceptional.
Perfect location, great service!
Wonderful experience in a beautiful place. The food was delicious and so was the tea. The staff was very professional and friendly and told os about every single toast and cake we got served. On the occasion of our anniversary we got served an extra cake beautifully arranged on a plate with the words "happy anniversary" written in chocolate. And a handwritten card by the side. We did not expect this and was very touched by this beautiful gesture.
Wonderful experience. Amazing food, tea and service. The pianist was wonderful as well.
I have visited the Savoy on a few special occasions, the last time being when i brought my Canadian cousins for Afternoon tea. Looking back at my photos i can see that the beautiful pastries served then are now only reserved for sale in your on site gift shop and the pastries served now are not quite as stunning. However, everything else is faultless.
This was a birthday treat for my best friend and you didn’t disappoint. Everything was perfect. I had asked if it was possible for a candle to be put on one of our cakes but instead it came on its own plate with a happy birthday message. I was overwhelmed. My friend enjoyed every single minute and so did I. Will definitely come again. The staff were second to none and treated us like royalty. That meant so very much. Can’t thank them enough.
An enjoyable experience. Service was excellent though for the cost I would expect nothing less!
My parents had a fantastic afternoon at the Savoy for their wedding anniversary. The staff were wonderful and gave them an unforgettable experience
Went with group of 5 friends. It was arranged especially for my birthday. On arrival my friends informed the waitress we here for a special occasion. Although she acknowledged her we didn’t get any special attention. We saw atleast 6 other birthday cakes go out with the pianist playing happy birthday but rather embarrassingly for my friends no such event took place for us, despite us lingering a lot longer. The service was mediocre, I’ve been to similar places & been blown away by attention to detail. We kept being served cold tea as they refuse to leave the teapot on the table due to some H&S risk but again we saw other tables with their tea pots on the table. Had such high expectations but didn’t work out at the end!
Had a wonderful time. The staff are so accommodating and really want you to have a fantastic experience. Just a small comment on the uniforms of the female staff, they look so drab. Please give them a brighter, better fitting outfit! We had a great time though.
This was our first afternoon tea experience at the Savoy but surely not the last. Matthew took care of us with outstanding kindness and competence. The quality of everything was excellent, the atmosphere is elegant without being posh or snobbish at all.
Great atmosphere and delicious food which was perfect for a relaxing afternoon tea. Piano player was also very entertaining.
Was £75 a head didn’t check bill ( my fault ) but was charged £254 for 3 people ?
Been there several times now. They sat us right away with reservation , all downhill from there. Service went down 90% since last visit. Def will not return
Had an amazing experience at the Afternoon Tea at the Savoy and couldn't fault anything,it was quite nostalgic for me as my grandfather worked their in the sixties
A disapointment. Expected a lot more from The Savoy. Food was tasteless, our waitress could not recommend a good wine for the food and the service was missing the final touch that you will expect from a hotel like this. We had to call our waitress several times as she did not look our way. So still a long way to go to get a five star.
As always the food, service, and atmosphere at the Thames Foyer for High Tea was incredible.
The truest form of elegance is high tea. The Thames Foyer has ruined me for all other tea rooms from this point on. Superior service, incomparable flavor palette and worldly beauty all rolled into one.
From the rich black vanilla tea to the savory finger sandwiches and tender quail breast with mushrooms and pomegranate to the decadent pasties and scones topped off with champagne in a delicately etched flute... the pianist playing in the gazebo and gorgeous fleet of professionals treating you like family. My experience was like no other. Thank you to Beatrice, Kinga and Francesca for such a lovely afternoon at @thesavoylondon.
A truly unbelievable kind of experience that one can imagine from reading a book.
An elegant atmosphere of a bygone era in today's world of jeans, fast food and high speed movement.
A must stop where time slows down.
The perfect cup of tea with savory and sweet confections can be enjoyed while listening to the pianist play the afternoon away.
The wait staff will fulfill your every need with a smile.
You will truly feel like you're either on the Titanic, at Downtown Abby or just the Queen for the day.
The memory of Tea at the Savoy will be a thought that will always be with you and bring a smile to your face.
Amazing afternoon tea, beautiful venue. A lovely setting, with beautiful background music.
Exactly like high tea at the avoy should be. This was my first time nd it was very nice.
Thank you so much! Our first time at the Savoy and felt thoroughly respected and looked after. The staff serving afternoon tea were very attentive. We had a laugh and lovely chat with two of the table staff. (Tea pot and extra sandwiches flowed continuously). Couldn’t have asked for a more memorable time. Not forgetting the poshest Doggy bag we’ve ever had.
Denise & Simon Garfield
A pleasant time had by all
Many thanks to all staff who made my daughter's birthday so memorable
A beautiful afternoon tea and a lovely way to celebrate a birthday!
Piano was a little loud at times when trying to talk - otherwise a lovely afternoon
The food was amazing and the service was extraordinary.
What a treat! Extremely well looked after by all staff. Delicious range of savouries and sweets.
Good experience with decent catering
