Afternoon Tea at The Savoy is the heart of The Savoy hotel and the perfect venue for light, informal dining. Its reinstated glass cupola, based on a guest's drawing, once again allows natural daylight to flood in on even the darkest day. The centrepiece of the room is the magnificent new winter garden gazebo.

Guests can also indulge in Afternoon Tea in this comfortable and intimate spot accompanied by the hotel's resident pianist. Afternoon Tea at The Savoy is an enduring custom where guests can choose from a range of teas served with finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream & jam and a mouthwatering selection of cakes and pastries.

Afternoon Tea starts from £65.00 per person.

Lovely atmosphere, especially with the pianist playing from the central rotunda. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Great for special occasions; I noted that our reservation was for my SO’s birthday, and they were extremely considerate in making her feel very special. Also great food and tea. Definitely recommend!

Excellent and attentive service. Great tea and sandwiches. Delicious scones and pastries. They give you a lot of food and we ended up packing some scones and sweets treats to go.

We had a lovely time and the service was excellent. The staff were very attentive and made sure that we had everything we wanted. We were offered more of everything but there was more than enough and the staff happily but the cakes we were unable to eat into a box for us to take home.

After having a fantastic tea a few years ago, decided to go back with a friend, and although the staff were faultless the cake selection o this occasion totally let it down, just plain, the only real decoration being a small piece of gold leaf and a tiny piece of edible flower, they were all just cream in colour and minute in size, so disappointing especially after comparing photos from precious visit

The best, most elegant afternoon tea I have had to date in London. The quality of the service, tea and food was outstanding. Also, very flexible and accommodating to dietary limits and choices.

The service was outstanding! Our waitress was very attentive while still giving us our space. The food was very good. I got the salmon for the main course during high tea and it was amazing with the mushrooms. I would highly recommend this and definitely worth it for the experience.

Wow, what a lovely experience. From the moment we arrived everything we asked for we got (ie latte, tea etc). The staff looked after us so well and the food was really good. I had the vegetarian sandwiches and the only poor one was the tofu one, maybe the tofu could be marinated first. The scones were lovely and it was nice to have lemon curd. The cakes were so beautiful and very professionally made and they tasked perfect. I think £50 would have been a fair price to pay so I would not book again but the setting, the food and the service was very good. Thank you for making my Mum's 80th Birthday so special.

Our fourth visit to the Savoy. We were situated next to the piano which was good for me as I love that aspect of the experience. Service was very good. Food as expected. No sense of being rushed. Nice time.

The Savoy is such a great part of London life and I was pleased to see it thriving. When you want to meet up with friends and have a special memory, there is no better way than afternoon tea at the Savoy. There are so many bland, functional places now, that I delight in still being able to sit in elegant surroundings, to slow down to have a cup of tea made well. The waiting staff are very attentive, the pianist is a lovely touch and nothing beats linen tablecloths, china cups and silver plated teapots and tempting morsels. A treat for all the senses.

My daughter bought Afternoon Tea for me and my partner as a treat. We weren’t celebrating anything in particular but we were made to feel like we were! I opted for the Vegan Menu as I am dairy free and really could not tell the difference. Coconut cream was substituted for real cream and mixed with the gorgeous strawberry jam on scones was really nice.
The service was wonderful, Daisy introduced us to our food, explaining everything that we were eating. I’ve never experienced that before. We weren’t hurried, and we were told that we could stay as long as we liked after we’d finished. The ambience was great, lovely atmosphere and made all the better by the pianist softly playing in the background. We made wonderful memories and would highly recommend.

The waitress was absolutely wonderful, the host was not. They never came to retrieve us for the reservation (despite assuring us they would & advising us to sit in the lobby as there was no seating near the tea host), 10 minutes after our reserved time was scheduled for we finally walked back to the afternoon tea host and then they seated us. Following tea, we walked over to the host for The American at around 16:45. They said to sit in the lobby and they would come get us in 10-15 minutes. 45 minutes later no one had ever came to get us so we left. For £150 I could have had bottomless bubbles, food and much more attentive hostesses somewhere else. Again, our waitress was fabulous but overall not worth the hype.

The room is very impressive and has a lovely atmosphere. The service was also great. It did feel slightly rushed at 1hr45 mins I think 2 hour sittings would work better. The food was nice, maybe expect a few added extras in the savoury section for the price as it was just the basic traditional sandwiches

Had Afternoon Tea with my wife at The Savoy. We both had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I would certainly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the City of London.

This isn't a cheap experience, however you know what you're getting when you go to London and as such I would highly recommend it to all. The staff and ambience were first class.

If you want one of the best afternoon teas in London then the Savoy will not let you down. The ambience was unique and relaxed while remaining traditional and impressive. The pianist played beautifully but never too loudly for conversation. The sandwiches are wonderful - especially the egg and truffle and potted shrimp. The cakes very sophisticated and scones freshly baked. A wonderful special occasion.

Lovely High Tea. Sandwiches and intermediate course were beautiful. Cakes and pastries were very nice but a slightly limited choice. Service and atmosphere were excellent, friendly and welcoming. Live piano music was just right to create a really pleasant ambiance. I was very pleased to receive a cake and card to mark my birthday! Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
