Afternoon Tea at The Savoy
Guests can also indulge in Afternoon Tea in this comfortable and intimate spot accompanied by the hotel's resident pianist. Afternoon Tea at The Savoy is an enduring custom where guests can choose from a range of teas served with finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream & jam and a mouthwatering selection of cakes and pastries.
Afternoon Tea starts from £65.00 per person.
The pastries were horrific . They were bland with no flavor . Was shocked considering the price . There is no excuse . However the tea service , scones and sandwiches were good . If pastries are your favorite part of afternoon tea , then you should go somewhere else .
Excellent time. We really enjoyed the experience. Only let down for us by the cake selection which we thought was average. Nothing stood out or was enjoyable to eat.
This his was a fantastic day I would sertley go back thanks Savoy
It was a wonderful experience. The place is beautiful and the food and tea were exceptional. It was our first time there and my husband, myself, and our two daughters really enjoyed it. We felt there was enough to eat and were surprised we were able to get refills. We asked for some extra scones since those were our favorite. I would highly recommended to do this. It is quite expensive but worth it. A highlight of our trip.
28 Pound for a glass of champagner is just not worth it. The environment was excellent. Food nice, but nothing to write home about.
Piano was too loud. Idealy the music should be in the background.
The service from Beatrice was excellent!
We always go to The Savoy for afternoon tea when we are in London.
Incredible experience. Highly recommend to all! Book ahead.
They gave me dairy. I am allergic. I can’t say much more than that : (
Of course the Savoy is a treat and not an everyday occurance. But what a treat! The staff in particular were absolutely fantastic - so attentive without being intrusive. I went with my young daughter (4) for the Tiger who came to tea party and she had such a wonderful time and felt so looked after.
Thankyou! We will return!
First class afternoon tea. The ambience, service and food were fantastic. The staff are so welcoming and make sure you want for nothing. The pianist plays while you have your afternoon tea adding to the elegant and relaxed atmosphere
Outstanding. Absolutely recommend. Glorious food and setting.
I loved every moment of the afternoon tea . The food was delicious, the atmosphere magical, and the service was impeccable. A wonderful once in a lifetime experience, i am from Australia. Thank you very much. Nicole Burns
The afternoon tea at the Savoy was wonderful. The setting in the Thanes Foyer is beautiful, a piano was playing lovely tunes and the staff at the Savoy are accommodating and gracious. Charlie, our waiter, was perfect. He was very efficient and knowledgeable but also personable and down to earth. The food was delicious although the sandwiches were slightly bland, but the pastries and tea selection were wonderful. All in all, a great experience.
They were absolutely fantastic. Attentive staff, wonderful service and delicious food and tea. A great experience in the lovely Thames Foyer.
Was a beautiful day but so overpriced which spoilt it, £248 for 2 adults and 1 child to have an afternoon tea. We knew it would be expensive but didn’t expect the £28 service charge!!!
Overpriced. Service was waaaaay to slow.
Loved it. Since this is our bucket list trip, we chose the best - and it was indeed the best 😀
A fabulous experience. Staff were courteous friendly . Food was excellent. Everything about it was an experience worth repeating. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
This was our first time having afternoon tea at the Savoy and it was absolutely amazing.
Extremely nice - our waiter was very attentive and available - a lactose free menu was readily available - the food itself is excellent and they serve Louis Roederer (my favorite)
Amazing experience, from the finger sandwiches to scones and pastries. The service was also top notch. Highly recommend for tourists and special occasions. It was our first high tea, and while pricey, worth it.
Had a splendid time, possibly too good a time. The sanwiches kept coming and then there was the poached salmon after the sandwiches stopped! And the birthday cake! I was expecting a little light refreshment but couldn't resist - consequently I didn't need any dinner that evening. The only things that could have been better was the weather and the train home running on time. Oh, I've forgotten to mention the cocktails in the American bar before hand. What can i say about them? What superlatives can do them justice? Possibly the weakest part of the cocktails were the names and stories attached - all a bit too "nice". All in all a top day out, fit for a birthday princess, despite the rain and train delay.
Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea. The ambience was fabulous. The best part was the delicious sandwiches, could have eaten them all again. Not so keen on the scones and iced cakes though that is personal preference. A wonderful experience.
Wonderful experience, but the food was very average, there was nothing memorable or outstanding about the pastries.
Staff were accommodating to my
9 year olds fussy eating and she had the tiger that came to tea themed one. It was tranquil, the staff were brilliant and the food was divine. I ate every last bit!
The entire experience was amazing. I can’t imagine a better place to have afternoon tea. Classic hotel. Incredible food. The piano player was also unreal; she didnt miss a note!
My granddaughter and I enjoyed the traditional tea while on a one-week visit in London for her 13th Birthday. It was perfect in every way. The food was delightful and the piano background music set the mood. The crowning touch was surprising her with a piece of birthday cake.
Just fabulous in every way possible. Food, service, piano player, surroundings are all gorgeous.
I haven’t been in the Savoy for 20 years and I remember it fondly so this was a lovely treat for myself and 8 year old daughter. My 8 year old said the food was better than the Ritz. I would have said equal but the service was better and far more friendly. Everything was lovely and high quality and my daughter was well catered for by the “Tiger who came to tea” menu.
An elegant experience. Top quality staff and eats. Live music. Most enjoyable.
Fabulous experience and amazing afternoon tea celebration.
I went with my niece and two friends. The food was delicious especially the mini quiches. The waiter and waitress were extremely pleasant and efficient. We didn’t feel at all rushed. I can speak for us all when I say it was a lovely experience with lovely food and lovely surroundings. Spot on.
We are regular visitors of the Savoy and thought the tea was wonderful
wonderful for the little ones - excellent I recommend the afternoon tea
Brilliant experience - but something you can only do for special occasions
If you want to enjoy a truly memorable afternoon tea, be sure to make a reservation at The Savoy. Incredibly beautiful hotel and tea room. Outstanding service. Food is excellent. Highly recommend.
High Tea at the Savoy was amazing! We were seated promptly a wonderful table. The room was beautiful. My mom had been in the past and remembers prerenevation and they did an fantastic job renovating it. Food was so tasty, loved the tea sandwiches. Because we ordered the high tea we were served a main course. Yummy!!!! Finally we were served scones and desserts. We were so full we took them with us to the Savoy theater to see 9 to 5. It was an experience I will always treasure with my mum.
Poor service, waited 1hour before tea was served. Pastries were not very good. Sandwiches were ok. Raison scones were rock hard. Service was so poor, it was unbelievable. Expected so much more. Had to keep waving to get the attention of waitresses who were slow to serve or non-existent. We didn’t complain and did pay service charge as I didn’t want to make a fuss on my birthday. The singer was not very good, the music was so loud, we had to shout to hear one another speak. Infact we wanted her to stop singing as it was very bad.
The food was wonderful , the staff attentive and the service excellent. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
