Afternoon Tea at The Savoy
Guests can also indulge in Afternoon Tea in this comfortable and intimate spot accompanied by the hotel's resident pianist. Afternoon Tea at The Savoy is an enduring custom where guests can choose from a range of teas served with finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream & jam and a mouthwatering selection of cakes and pastries.
Afternoon Tea starts from £75.00 per person.
If you want to spoil yourself or with another, you cannot find anywhere more glorious. Exquisite food and service. Wonderfully wicked and indulgent.
Very friendly staff who catered for our specific requirements and a very relaxing ambience.
Excellent food, great selection of sandwhiches and could have had more. The scones were warm and fresh and the mince pies wonderful. Lovely decorated cakes. We couldn’t eat it all so given a bag to take home as well as a present of fudge. All a great experience with champagne, Christmas lights and carols!
Amazing food and service! It’s my favourite Afternoon Tea.
Fantastic way to celebrate my birthday. Excellent and caring service. Fabulous food. Great surroundings. 5star service
Very polite very welcoming and made us feel great Service was fantastic couldn’t fault any of it not rushed a nice little gift to go home with
Amazing but expensive, but then you get what you pay for!!!!
Have been to other elite hotels and this was by far the least value for money! We wanted to finish our celebration weekend off at the Savoy to see what we had hoped would be fantastic Christmas decorations, but we were very disappointed! During our afternoon tea we felt a little rushed and normally they keep coming around topping the sandwiches up but they just bought us 4 extra fingers out on a side plate. Wasn’t fussed on the sandwich flavors either. The cakes and scones were lovely but hardly any jam was given to share out to cover 4 scones. The bill was in excess of 200 pounds for just a few sandwiches and cakes, the night before it didn’t cost us much more than that for a 3 course dinner with wine at the Ritz, which was by far a more amazing experience.
Had the most wonderful afternoon cannot fault a thing, the staff were so nice and very attentive even made sure the tea was replenished as soon as the cup was empty. The atmosphere also was first class plenty of room between tables not packed in unlike some other well known establishments. Will definitely go back one day .
My friend was charged for two glasses of brut which we didn't have. The manager Athina apologised and assured us that the amount would be reimbursed along with the service charge. She gave us her card and asked that we email her on Monday so that she would confirm the transaction had been addressed. However, I am so disappointed that no matter how many times I have tried to reach her I have been unsuccessful. The email address was not recognised; the telephone number on the business card was not in use and when I rang the Savoy direct Athina was not available and I was asked to call back the next day.
Some bread was dry, not enough cream and jam for the scones but everything else was lovely. Sadly have had better afternoon tea for less money.
Everything was perfect, the food was delicious, the staff were welcoming, friendly and lovely. The experience felt like a once in a lifetime event. Such a beautiful place and the ambience is idyllic.
Great service as I mucked up the date however the staff did not make a fuss and got it all organised and we had such a great time and experience
A magical time at the Savoy. Luxurious food and service that I recommend
Wonderful place for that special occasion. Exquisite patisserie and impeccable servuce
It was truly wonderful! The staff were fantastic and the food was delicious... A fabulous experience, a delight!
Great experience, with nice decor and delicious food. Relaxed feeling friendly service.
Lovely and elegant - a very memorable experience! Service was exemplary and setting refined yet comfortable. Pianist extremely talented and versatile. Tea, bubbly and savories spot on. A must do in London.
Waiters charming and attentive but not intrusive. Piano playing excellent and the space was very pleasing. Would recommend this to everyone.
Wow!!! The atmosphere, including a piano concert, the delicate sandwiches and delicious desserts made for an enjoyable afternoon. They refreshed our tea as needed. We ordered the Traditional Afternoon tea which includes delicious tea sandwiches and then scones and desserts. Yes, of course we had clotted cream with our scones. This does not come cheaply. 299 pounds! But well worth it for a once in a lifetime experience.
A lovely treat for myself and Mum. Great service and experience :)
Perfect. As you would expect great service, great food (fills you up more than you would think), nice champagne and tea. Happy to add a couple of things to what you take home. Waitress happy to show us around after tea. Expensive, but the quality makes it good value
This is the ONLY place to have afternoon tea. We had a fantastic time. You have unlimited tea and sandwiches until you cant move.
We came for afternoon tea to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday, and the four of us (husband and 23 year old son as well) thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful but not intrusive. The pianist playing Christmas music and choir singing really made the ambiance delightful. The range of teas to choose from was mind boggling but we all managed to choose delicious tea which was continually topped up. And as for the food.... WOW. Every mouth was an explosion of flavours that I don't think I could describe well enough. My daughter was chuffed at receiving a chorus of happy birthday and special cake and card too. Thank you for making her day very special. We all had a wonderful time.
I booked afternoon tea as a treat on a recent weekend visit to London, and we certainly weren't disappointed. As we were near Christmas, we had the Festive tea, which included a fabulous choir singing carols, and a wonderful pianist too. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful, and the service was attentive without being annoying. We will definitely return on our next visit to London.
Fantastic straff, atmosphere and scones. Go, go, go!
Thoroughly enjoyed our Afternoon tea. Sandwiches were plentiful and tasty. Couple of savoury pastries. Delicious scones. Plenty of sweet cakes. Not rushed at all. It was expensive but was worth it. Lovely experience.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Afternoon Tea at the Savoy, the ambience, spacing of the tables and the entertainment (Piano and Choir) was first class. The Service was good, we had two waiters the first one started out very well, however we were left a number of times, with empty cups and had to pour the Tea ourselves, which of course is fine, but how the Silver teapot/hot water jug were positioned at the far end of the table, suggested it was supposed to be performed by the Waiter. For the second half we had a waitress look after us, who instead, proceeded to continuously fill our cups with tea up, which was great, but excessive. I would recommend that the Service is fine-tuned.
We visited the Savoy for a friends birthday and had an amazing warm welcome with lovely food. We were also entertained by lovely carol singers and piano player
Very nice expirience, but a litle expensive. Extremly good service
Dear RandiT, thank you very much for your kind feedback, We hope to see you again soon. With kind regards
Afternoon tea for two. Mistake and problem with food order on more than one occasion. This was handled expertly and promptly after discussing with the manager. As afternoon tea goes, it was slightly disappointing. There are much better places to have afternoon tea in London in terms of food quality, choice and value for money in a similar high end setting.
we enjoyed afternoon tea with champagne accompanied by the musicians in the centre of the room who created a wonderful atmosphere with excellent service and food . My wife was delighted by the birthday cake delivered as the musicians played Happy Birthday so a Big Thank You to the lovely staff at The Savoy
The services as always was excellent and the food very good. The piano player in particular added much to the overall experience. Will definitely keep going.
Afternoon tea was ok, but when you compare the price next to other well known afternoon tea venues (F&M, The Ritz, The Dorchester) you can get similar levels of service and the same quality of afternoon tea for less.
If the cost was not so high I would return.
WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE AND LOVELY MUSIC
Superb experience all round. Delightful staff, relaxed, unhurried ambience, delicious food. Absolutely gorgeous
Good as always!
Attentive staff. Nothing too much trouble . Wonderful ambience with live pianist . Beautiful and tasty afternoon tea. A real treat
It Was a great experience, everyone was polite and helpful. However it was a little pricey, but didn’t go hungry home😊
