Decided to try the afternoon tea at the Titanic Hotel to celebrate my wife’s birthday. From the moment we arrived Matthew who looked after us so well on the afternoon explained our menu and the various parts of same. He checked if any of us had any problems with any of the sandwich contents and when 2 of us explained we didn’t like salmon arranged for substitutes instead. We picked our initial tea choices and the sandwiches arrived along with chef’ surprise which was a soup which was really nice. The selection of sandwiches provided was very good. Next up were the scones which seemed just out of the oven and a lovely selection of pastries. We also took the opportunity to try a different tea selection as well. The whole afternoon was perfect due to the high quality of the food itself, excellent presentation and Matthew’ s expertise and I would highly recommend trying this for that special occasion .

It was just fine. Food was very bland - the sweets were extremely sweet. Most of the items tasted the same. Service was full on to begin with but then we were forgotten about. Forgot my mum’s birthday platter. Staff wearing their own take on the uniform which looks scruffy and also wearing trainers which in my opinion doesn’t match the 5 star style they’re attempting. Toilets dirty and toilet rolls everywhere

I would suggest that empty tables be completly cleared of used and dirty crockery in a more quicker and effiicient manner so patrons are not greeted with the sight of clutter and uncleared tables on arrival. When the said dirty crockery is cleared that it is not piled up on the bar for the bar staff to clean at the Bar spoiling the whole ambience of the room. Surely there is a pot/still room out of sight of customers for the dishes/crockery to be washed and cleaned. I appriciate it may have been a busy afternoon surely the managment should put in systems to cope with this to maintain a high quality of service. Our server I may add was first class.

The afternoon tea was a great experience, The food was exquisite in a room with so much history with the melodic piano playing in the background. A variety of tea flavours were available, all of which could be sampled if you wished or numerous coffee choices for those like me, that isn't a lover of tea, and the food consisted of soup and sandwiches, followed by warm cherry, fruit and plain scones with jam, lemon curd and cream and lovely desert cakes. The afternoon tea was a birthday celebration, and a lovely touch was a slate plate with two macaroons and Happy Birthday written with warm white chocolate. Cakes that couldn't be eaten were taken away in a Titanic Hotel box. Definitely worth the cost, but availability was limited due to it's popularity.

We booked Afternoon Tea at the Titanic Hotel for my mother's birthday. It was such a wonderful day. The staff were fantastic so attentive and friendly and the food and ambience were amazing. We were lucky to be there at the weekend when the pianist was there and his playing was the perfect accompaniment to the day.

What a great experience while visiting Belfast! It was our first time ever having afternoon tea and it was great. Matthew our server provided great service keeping and walking us through everything. Great selection of teas, the sandwiches were quite tasty, and the scones and desserts were fantastic. Highly recommend after visiting the Titanic Experience.
