Agua y Sal in Mexico City, across from the Hyatt, serves a sophisticated seafood lineup from chef Ismael Sanchez with the freshest of ingredients.
Ceviche comes in many forms at Agua y Sal from around the whole Latin American region including traditional flavors updated for today. There are versions with octopus, shrimp and more. There�s also a raw bar and more hearty dishes like the Peruvian lomo saltado, spaghetti, fried calamari and shrimp with rice. To finish your meal, Agua y Sal serves a wide range of desserts like panna cotta, flan and key lime pie. Service is top-notch.
The restaurant was perfect - the food delicious, the service on point, and they don’t abuse the wine prices in such a way that you want to continue to eat, drink, laugh and linger. Fantastic place.
The ceviche and the variety of them was so good it reminded me of the best of Peru with a quintessentially Mexican flare.
We were seated and were immediately distracted by a table of 6 youngish people, at least 2 of whom were excessively loud and probably drunk. We asked the waiter if he could speak to them, but he did nothing, probably fearing that he would get no cooperation from them and maybe get punched by the loud man. We couldn't hear anything the waiter was asking us, and we left in disgust. It was a Saturday at 7 pm, our last night in the city, and we had been looking forward to our dinner at this restaurant.

Outstanding as always. I had my usual 4 ceviche sampler. They close early on Sundays apparently so I just has that with dessert. A red velvet cake that was small and just perfect. I make a point of coming to Agua and Sal whenever I am in Mexico City, I always stay at the Intercontinental across the street because it is so convenient.

This was our second visit to Agua y Sal and the food was as good this time as it was on our first time. Due to traffic issues we were delayed however the restaurant was able to accommodate us.
We shared Mandarin Cebiche, 3 fish tacos and seafood hot plate and thoroughly enjoyed them all. The cebiche was full of great citrus flavours and the Pacific fish taco is a star.
Wine list is presented on an IPad which provided additional tasting notes as well as prices and pictures.
Agua y Sal remains one of our favourite favourite restaurants in Mexico City.
Mi novia y yo amamos este restaurante, la comida es exquisita, la atención es muy agradable, además que el valor que recibes por lo que pagas es sobresaliente. Se puede convertir en nuestro restaurante favorito.
Very good cuisine, the food is of high quality and the place is nice. My only complaint is with the service, I had to order 3 times a beer, in a place like this, the service needs to be flawless. The waiters could be a little bit friendlier, they seemed in a rush all the time.
The ceviche was to die for!

Angel is the best server! He was so friendly and offered great recommendations. The ceviche verde was great and we loved the arroz Maria is! We will back for the food and always ask for Angel!!!
Went with friends for the first time. Ceviches were excellent, Peruano and al Leña were the best. Everything else was great too including desert!
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a dinner in agua y sal and it was a great experience. The service was super friendly and the food was delicious! We will come again!

Superb cebiche that had us groaning with each spoonful. We had the Peruana and A La Lena. The Perusna was like a jewelry box of textures and flavors in a rich sauce. A La Lena was also wonderful, a bit hotter and smokier thanks to the alderwood smoked sea salt. We also had Tostados de Marlin, which were tasty, but mild compared to the cebiche dishes. The Pisco Sours are as good as we’ve had anywhere. If we had the time in CDMX we’d return again and again to work our way through the menu.
Everything was very good except for the size of the dishes which (in my opinion) is small, many "nice" restaurants are like that so that might be what I should have expected, apart from that everything was excelent.

Todo muy rico, solo el arroz con mariscos estaba un poco picante. Habíamos preguntado si picaba y nos dijeron que no, nos encontramos una sorpresa pero igualmente estaba rico.

Popular with the locals so on weekends, go for an early dinner or be sure to make a reservation. Excellent and fresh food. Well thought out menu options appeal to a wide range of tastes and diets but their seafood dishes are the best.
Ceviche peruano and the pulpo a la parrilla were very good but the chicharrón de calamar was a bit greasy. Service in general was good but at one point our server disappeared for a while.

Very cozy restaurant with lovely ambiance. Exceptional service, great cocktails and well thought out wine list. I found the Cebiche a bit underwhelming, the mussels were a bit too sweet but flavorful. French fries were yum. The scallop ceviche was the hit however my recommendation would be to slice them a bit thinner. The mixed tomato salad was fantastic.
Amazing experience. Food was delicious and well worth the price, service was individualized and absolutely outstanding. Highly recommend for dinner!

The food was amazing, service was excellent and I absolutely loved the decor and vibe of the restaurant. I can't wait to visit again!
