Went here with my girlfriend for my birthday this Sunday and was seated out on the terrace. The meal started off well but the service declined throughout, the waiter spilled a drink onto our table and we waited an age for the bill. When the bill arrived they’d tried to charge us for a side of greens which we didn’t order, but they did bring out (we thought it was complimentary). They also charged us cocktail prices from the Main menu rather than the brunch cocktail list which was the one we ordered from (same cocktails, different prices). Food was good value but not sure we’ll be returning given the rest of the experience.
Was an awesome experience; food was amazing & the staff fantastic & very knowledgeable about the food being served. Top marks all round!
Everything was utterly stunning, food, service, playlist. Wonderful restaurant
Fantastic food, wine and service. At the expensive end of the spectrum but was great for a special occasion. They have made sure that it doesn't feel like a hotel restaurant (which can sometimes feel a bit souless).
Beautiful setting, food and drink. Can’t wait to go back
Great spend evening with delicious food. Will be back soon
Really good and better price than expected. The staff is lovely and the ambiance is very private and romantic
2nd meal here in 3 weeks, so good we couldn't wait to bring friends here. Expensive but worth every penny. The crab latkes were a highlight.
Great food and service in a nice atmosphere. This is a great addition to the east London area. Highly recommend the halibut main course. It was one of the best meals I have had ever.
Food was exceptional, decor modern and classy, nice location - a great place for a nice evening dinner with my wife!
It exceeded all of my expectations and my expectations were high.
From start to finish it was a pure delight.
The staff were absolutely incredible. We were welcomed by everybody working in the restaurant. So friendly, genuine and knowledgable.
The food was just stunning. Perfection on a plate, a truly amazing dining experience.
I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!
Cannot rate this place high enough. Food was incredible - even as a vegetarian I was wowed. Service super smooth, great wine, and lovely feel to the place. It’s a destination restaurant hidden away in the best way, great outdoor deck too. Loved it.
Friendly staff and lots of delicious food to choose from!
Romantic, star-like setting with an elegant yet chilled ambient vibe. The drink selection is fantastic with an excellent bar tender to whip up the tastiest cocktails. The food was delicious with only one upset on the dessert section that failed to present a chocolate option. Other than that, which I'm sure can be remedied, the evening was fantastic! A real treat after being locked down for all these months!
Very happy with everything, can't wait to go back.
A wonderful meal which always exceeds expectations.
We had a lovely time this time round. Compared to a Wednesday night which was very disappointing, on Thursday they had a full menu and was more of fine dining experience than the pub beer garden vibe on Wednesday with very limited food choice
We called the restaurant in the morning to advise that one of the guests is a vegan and asked if there have vegan options. We were assured that there will be vegan options to choose from. When we arrived we found out that there was only one small salad that was vegan, nothing else, the portion was tiny, we asked if they could prepare anything else at all but was told that they couldn’t. Absolutely disappointing. We left as soon as we finished the salad and had to go grab dinner elsewhere
This comment refers to the terrace and the Bar&Terrace food menu.
The food comes in very small portions and is of poor quality. It does look fancy but the quality is poor. The price is also very high: as an example, what they call a blueberry tart is whipped cream with chopped blueberries on top and ice cream on the side, at £8.
The terrace has limited view and the train running just beside the building makes a loud noise.
I would not recommend.
So good I just booked another table to take friends to the glorious terrace. The menu is outstanding and the service is perfect. One of my favourite places to dine in London.
Menu was limited and pricey. Portions small and very limited side dishes.
Lovely roof terrace and great service from Bobby.
Hidden spot. I hope not too many people find out about it!
We went for our anniversary and it was such great food, service and scenery. We will remember this for a long time!
We got there at 1:30pm and left at 8pm. It was so lovely, from the food, surroundings and the general life style of the place was perfect.
Nice food, good service and great atmosphere. Dishes were fun, although some could have packed a bit more punch like the ceviche scallops for example. Although I did enjoy this menu, dinner menu was more flavoursome.
It was triffic. Xxxxxxxcccccccccccxcxxxxxxxccccccxcccc
Great meal with great staff !! Totally enjoyed our experience plus the staff were very helpful explaining the menu etc
Very nice restaurant but a little overpriced. Food quality and presentation are good but just lack something to elevate it to special. I’ve been there once and probably wouldn’t book and return as there are so many restaurants to try but I wouldn’t steer anyone away from going there. It’s very good just not special.
The family enjoyed al fresco dining here in Allegra. Food was tasty and presented well.
Lovely space and great bar. Wanted to love it but unfortunately the food was disappointing. The ceviche starter and turbot main in particular were quite average and flavourless. We also ordered a side dish which turned out to be a huge bowl of quite stodgy potatoes. They were okay but didn’t quite go with the delicate, smaller dishes we’d ordered. It may have just been an off night so we’re keen to try again based on so many good reviews.
Great food and environment, and wonderful roof terrace and garden.
Get there now before it’s at full capacity. Went for my birthday and it was brill.
We went out for our first brunch with our 8 week old and were so well taken care of. Food was delicious and the space is really beautiful. We’ll be back.
This being my first restaurant visit after 4.5 month of locked down, it was a refeshing to sit on the terrace and being served food. The people were all using sanitisers multiple times and it all looked pretty hygienic. The portion size was very small for a main and I was still hungry. Other than that it was all good.
Amazing night to celebrate my anniversary. Worth every penny.
Great food, great chef, great restaurant. Nice gem for us in Stratford!
Birthday Celebrations 24th July 2020
You will not be disappointed with this restaurant, the food is literally "to die for" the service was amazing, and attention to detail. My husband is a peculiar eater, however they were able to customise his dish for him. The ambience was extraordinary. Best restaurant that I have been to in a while.
We met Head Chef Patrick Powell, such a lovely man, he explained the process of how the Kerry Hill Lamb was cooked. Chef Patrick is very passionate of what he cooks and his dishes.
I saw the restaurant on Master Chef and said to my husband that I would like to go there, to my surprise he said "okay lets book it for your birthday.. my treat" It was a treat that i will not forget in a hurry.
I would recommend this restaurant 20 times over.
We cannot wait to visit the restaurant again in a couple of months.
First meal out since lockdown. It felt so normal. Lots of spaces between tables bright airy interior. Food in a class of its own.
Nice restaurant, staff were really friendly but possibly due to covid, service was slow.
Would recommend they get few more vegi options on the menu but the food was tasty.
Disappointed with menu mains only 4 to choose from main dish already sold out at 7 pm food could have been better
