Went out to brunch with my friend here. Beautiful outdoor seating in a garden. I ordered the berry cocktail which was delicious. We both ordered the prime rib hash as our main meal. It was very tasty, portion was a bit on the small side. I wish I ordered some toast to go with it. The service was a bit slow but excellent when they were around.
A Hidden Gem.
Interesting plates. Warm service.
Wonderful new addition town. We really enjoyed your food very very tasty
We had a server in training & only one thing was missed. The staff & manager were super friendly & all had a good sense of humor too. The oyster with their own, special caviar was to DIE for, I want more, like right now! The drinks were fabulous too, the espresso martini, soooo good. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic dinner. The beef filet was cooked perfectly and so tender. Will definitely go again.
Great little courtyard spot to eat. The sun gave good light, the waiter was nice and attentive and the food was terrific!
What a lovely dinner! We wanted to eat outside, and the service and setting were perfect. The food was delicious.
Service was excellent and everything was tasty. A bit pricey, but worth it. We’d definitely return
Atmosphere: Quaint alleyway with outdoor lighting, beautiful blooming vines and ample heat from the heat lamps on a chilly evening outside. Great atmosphere for good conversation.
Service: The waitress explained everything well and was good at answering all of our questions about the food.
Food: Our favorite menu item was the Roasted filet of beef with the mushroom bordelaise. It was delicious!
Seared king salmon had a delightfully crispy skin and the fish was tender and well seasoned. The shiso went beautifully with the food. The glass noodles and carrots could have been seasoned more.
The Mezcal Margarita Ceviche was good, but I prefer other ceviches that I've eaten.
Tamales bay oyster was delicious and briny and the white sturgeon caviar added a nice flavor to it but the cliquot bubbles on the oyster were more sour than we would have preferred.
If we were to go back, I would definitely order the mains again.
Delicious! Great atmosphere and staff. Highly recommend.
Been trying several main courses and were disappointed. Prices are very high for the value. The salads and soups are very good, perhaps will order small plates, tapas-like.
Service is excellent at all levels.
If you're looking for a romantic and/or family friendly spot with beautiful vine & floral ambiance & delicious seafood, this is your spot! This Alameda culinary gem does NOT disappoint!
Beautiful place ! Great dining experience.
If you go, make sure you sit outside. The outdoor area is very charming (exposed brick walls, creeping vines). But the indoors area is very mediocre / plain. But not in a minimalist, calming way. Just plain.
The food is good and well prepared (we had two fish dishes) but nothing extraordinary. For the prices charged, I was expecting some more innovation or a flavor memory. My favorite dishes, honestly, were the appetizers. They had more flavor than the mains. The duck liver was especially good (served on french toast, which was a surprise twist). Desserts were the worst. No creativity at all...it's almost as if they were an afterthought.
Great place Very nice service and kind personnal Food was great
Was incredibly impressed with this new neighborhood gem. Food was incredible, fresh, and top of the line.
Very relaxed yet elegant place for outdoor dining. The staff are top notch professionals, friendly and courteous. Food is creative and delicious.
I have been to Alley&Vine a few times - lunch and dinner - and have had great experiences. The food is presented beautifully and tastes amazing. Love the outdoor seating ambiance. Great service.
Our entire experience was wonderful. The food was delicious, the service delightful, and cocktail were tasty and creative! Can't wait to go back. :)
Food and drink were excellent! Service was also excellent!
A true gem in Alameda that opened during this COVID time. Staffs are attentive, and the food is intricate and upscale but with casual vibe. We truly enjoyed our evening.
Beautiful, cozy spot in Alameda with delicious food and great service.
My best friend and I visited Alameda to dine at this restaurant specifically and we weren’t disappointed. The food here is Michelin star quality. All the ingredients are fresh and you can tell. If you are a foodie, this is the place for you.
We went for my birthday and sat outside with our 6 month old daughter in her stroller. It was our first dining experience in over a year and it was glorious! Food and service were great and the alley had a nice ambiance :)
Delicious food, fantastic drinks. Love the espresso martini. Great services!!
It's one of the newest restaurants in our small town of Alameda. Heard a lot about it and wanted to try it with my wife on a date night. Very impressive! Everything was first class and I highly recommend it to everyone. It was like being in a fancy restaurant in San Francisco with great service and wonderfully prepared food, but in Alameda. Yum!
The food was delicious. Well-prepared, creative, and beautifully presented. However, we felt it was overpriced. The service was very slow, the interior quite stark, and the noise level was high. We probably won’t return.
Great location, great service, great ambience, and great food!
Food was fantastic. Very fresh. Our server Greta was very friendly.
The wait staff we’re all charming. The cocktails creative and delicious. And the food was creatively prepared and beautifully served. The trumpet vines on the perimeter of the patio provided a colorful and natural ambience
San Francisco dining comes to Alameda. The oyster with caviar was delicious. The lamb shank was spectacular - and you must try the chocolate martini!
Outstanding Mother’s Day brunch. Think we started a new tradition.
The setting (with indoor and outdoor seating) was lovely and the service was good. The portions were small but the food was tasty. The one issue is that the menu is not kid-friendly, so I wouldn't recommend bringing young children. The children's menu consisted only of chicken risotto with salad, which would not work for my son, and we could not even order a side of fries even for my son (because even french fries could only be ordered alongside a specific dish).
Need more brunch items on the menu (e.g., pancakes, waffles)
Incredible find on Alameda. First gourmet restaurant on the island. It's as good as any in SF. Great food, fantastic service, knowledgeable sommelier. I will be going back and back and....
We kicked off Mother’s Day weekend with a Saturday lunch here and we will definitely be back! Everything delivered to the table looked like a work of art and tasted even better. The oysters with caviar and champagne foam, the perfectly seared scallops with beautifully prepared spring veggies, and the creative and delicious french toast that is the best we have ever had. The service was attentive and warm.
A fun "secret" spot in an Alameda alley that many Alamedans probably know well. Come for the excellent food and service; stay for the ambience.
Great food, nice service, even kids loved it. Would highly recommend.
A beautiful, refreshing experience that's perfect to celebrate reconnecting after a year of isolation during Covid-19. The food was brilliantly invented and supremely executed. The staff were attentive and well informed. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back soon!
