Amazing food and service my favorite place for a burger
Not met at the door for at least 5/10 minutes waiting not even acknowledged- was really exited to taste the food - no lunch deal on as was advertised- when food came it was less than average dirty glass for the only good thing was my can of ginger beer - very poor
Amazing food and for approximately £20 per person with a drink it's great value in Manchester.
2nd visit during lockdown restrictions and exceptional service, food and value, loved it and couldn't recommend it more
Bit expensive but amazing food!
Great food and service
Unreal food. Lenthy wait for the food but well worth it. Hands down the best burger and fries in town
Almost famous never disappoints. The burgers are so tasty and the loaded fries are too. Even though it’s currently a limited menu due to the restrictions with the pandemic, there is a lot to choose from. Also the cocktails are super nice from here too.
They've taken the halloumi burger off the reduced menu.
Fantastic service and really fantastic value too. Highly recommended. The best burger I've had in years!
Food was amazing and service was great. Ben made us feel welcome and at home. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family. Went above and beyond my expectations
Service was to be expected, and was actually pretty good. Value for money wasn't really there, but the food was really good in terms of taste, just expect a little more for your money.
The food arrived quickly and there was a good amount of social distancing going on.
Never fails to be awesome! The return of eat out to help out made it even more reasonable!
Took the opportunity to visit on the final Rishi lunch offer in September provided by AF themselves.
It just felt 75% of the usual quality and wow factor of what I’ve always had from AF in the past. I don’t know if that’s cause the promotion would have hit pockets too hard if it was 100% or not but that’s how it felt, if I’d have paid full price for what I had, I’d have left extremely disappointed compared to previous visits.
The wings ice were cold and tiny although lashed with sauce which was the only saving grace,
I ordered a crack shack but was served with a STK2020 which wasn’t raised as an issue as they’ve both been great in previous visits however it would have been nice to be told you’d ran out of fried chicken as the pot of blue sauce was delivered on the side as opposed to on the burger. The burger itself was nice and juicy but was far too clean compared to normal, it wasn’t dripping in sauce and flavours. The Bacon bacon fries were hot but didn’t seem to have as much sauce as normal either.
All in all, it just didn’t feel like the standard Almost Famous quality I love and rave about to everyone. Normally you’d leave stuffed and dreaming of eating it all over again as you walk out the door but this time it felt reduced, sub par and just not quite as it good have been. I’d have been wounded if I’d paid full price. I know the place needs to make money, but I was tempted in by the idea of the impeccable Almost famous quality at a half the price, Only to receive something in line with the quality of what I’d pay £10 for at the local pub. My massive concern for AF being, is this a coincidental one off? Or is this the new norm? I honestly don’t know If I’d rather keep the past memories of AF in high regards or chance a return to be wow’d again like times past.
Service was great. Value for money was fine but the quality of the burger was lacking. The two beef burgers were slightly overcooked and dry. When I come to almost famous I expect a thick juicy messy burger. The plate was dry after I’d finished. Some would like this but when I dine at a place like this I expect indulgence not clean eating. Everything else was great, the fries were perfect.
Amazing food. Loved the £10 offer. MEGA VALUE. more of this please.
Lovely food, friendly and helpful staff, they were great with the kids too, will certainly be returning in the future
Fed two people for £36 including a tip, was brilliant. The £10 meal deal is well worth it. Always want more afterwards. Will always come back. I like the online menus too, much better.
If you want an outstanding burger then Almost Famous is the place to go. We will be definitely back
We went because Almost Famous did one more day of the eat out to help out deal which was amazing. I am also lactose intolerant and they cooked my burger on a different grill to accommodate to my dietary needs which was amazing, most places get pretty awkward about lactose intolerance, they usually just assume I'm vegan, so this made a nice change. The food was amazing as always and customer service was incredible. Was also very Covid safe. Will be back soon! Thank you guys 😊
3 quid for a 50p can of bars cream soda is a bit of a joke. Maybe dont give the cans to the customer. Other than that a great meal and service as usual.
Took the better half for tea as we should have been getting married on that day the staff went out their way for us and we couldn’t have been more made up with the service, thank you all and see you again soon
Sat next to the biggest bunch of pikey gobshites ever. Food was ok, wont be back.
I've not been to almost famous in about a year and boy did I miss it! The food was amazing, as usual, and the service was so quick! Also the lunch time deal yous had on just added to it! Cant wait to come back!
I am aware we are all having to adjust to a new reality but for me this is not the way to deal with it. There are not enough hand sanitizers which in a restaurant is just not good enough. I'm also Ok with using my phone to order with but I relly am not Ok with having to pay using my card on my phone before I can place my order.
Had I not been with my daughter I would have not stayed. The staff were all good and the food was good this is not their fault.
Staff were fine but to be honest my food was cold & the burger seemed smaller than usual. Paying just over £16 for a burger and chips I’d expect it to be outstanding.
Really nice food and good value for money will be going back again
The restaurant seemed to be very understaffed with only 3 servers who were running around literally! Consequently the drinks took 20 minutes to arrive -we could see them waiting on the bar and when the food arrived most of it was stone cold. We were eventually asked how the food was we were offered fresh burgers but by then we had eaten the cold ones as we were starving. The food was tasty but a disappointing experience overall.
I've been Almost famous a few times but this time.. it was just meh. The images they use to show off the burgers are definitely not how they actually look. My Bf has the 2020 steak and it was dry, the wings tasted like they had been boiled in brine water , his teriyaki sauce was more like a bouron sauce. The only good thing was the fries and drink! If I had paid the full price of £50, I wouldn't have been happy. Only went there as they had the Eat out, Help out scheme and there meal deal was burger wings fries and large drink £10 which was great.
Was really looking forward to coming here as it’s normally really good. We were so disappointed, the burger was tasteless, the meat tasted really cheap and were thin not thick like they normally are. The wonderlust fries were the most saltiest things I’ve ever tasted they were horrible. Had to ask for cutlery twice. Won’t be coming back for a while.
It's quite drafty and very dark where we were stood upstairs. And I understand they were busy but we weren't given napkins or cutlery and had to ask a passing server for both. Other than that good great as per
The nicest food I’ve had in a long while, great value! Will deffo be going back soon!
Burgers were smaller and very bland. Shame really as this used to be the best place for a dirty burger but I won't be rushing back after my most recent visit.
Tried the new 2020 steak burger. AMAZING! Really delicious! Wanted more!! 😋
We had the meal deal on the eat out scheme and it was very good value for money.
Great deal with the eat out scheme
As always, the food is amazing, service was super quick, and friendly on the interactions we had. All the rules adhered to. Will forever be recommending AF to everyone.
Booked Almost Famous on the Open Table app around 10 minutes before our time slot. Limited food and drinks menu due to Covid. The drink I wanted was not on the limited menu but they accommodated me anyway. Nice and friendly staff and atmosphere, would definitely book again.
Great staffing and friendly environment
