Almost Famous - Leeds
Loved it. Service good, food mint. Recommend to anyone
The food is great but the service is very poor and varies dramatically. The food took so long to arrive we had to pack some of it up in takeout boxes as we were out of time to be able to enjoy our meal.
Took an hour and a half to get served. After an hour we asked how long the food would be, the response was 5 minutes. 20 minutes later the food hadn’t arrived.
We ended up having to leave as they were bringing the food out. We took it as takeaway but overall the experibce was close to 2 hours. Grossly understaffed and I’m assuming the chef was on his lunch break for the entirety of the time.
Visited whilst on a shopping trip in Leeds. Served quickly and waiters were very helpful in menu choices. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and good quality food.
Have been to Almost Famous before and enjoyed it.
Several components of the various burgers were not available therefore the burgers were not as the menu and this made it difficult to choose. It’s not a vast menu so to run out of numerous items strikes me as very poor planning. They also ran out of a lot of the side dishes making it chips or.....chips.
My sister is not a fan of burgers but said she was OK with the chicken strips, as it was her nieces birthday. Guess what, ran out of strips.
Surely you could go to a Supermarket and buy some in if you were running out.
Good juicy burgers
Awesome burgers and shakes, as always. Can take a little while for the drinks to appear, but they’re usually worth the wait!
Nice staff, good food, cool venue. Served quick with friendly staff.
Really enjoyed my visit here. Great customer service and yummy food.
Terrible terrible service. Not worth the money. For the food to come in plastic red baskets terrible!
First visit probably won’t be last. Menu choices definitely different!!
Staff friendly but rushed off their feet good job it wasn’t busy.
Can’t believe there are no hot drink options three out of our party of four would have liked either a tea or coffee as this was a lunchtime and had to go back to work
Always enjoyed Almost Famous in Leeds - service was quick and managed expectations (we had a little wait but knew this straight away!), prompt with a drink order. Food arrived early (and hot!), and was just as good as previous visits - consistency is often underrated!
Top notch burgers with no fuss - awesome!
Would have enjoyed a lot more but it was freezing and we got put upstairs away from every one, when our food came out it was cold but we were that cold we ate it and then left, my friends recommended the restaraunt to me so we went, none of us had a pleasent time and 3 of the lads go to almost famous a lot!! I now have a cold.
Restaurant was freezing. Had a call on the day to let us know there was a problem with the heating. Bit late to find somewhere else for a party of 9!
Some friends had been there earlier in the month and heating was broken then. Most boiler issues don't take a week or more to fix- in which case you would have an idea of when a new one was being fitted and would have appreciated a heads up.
Brilliant as always. Brought our friends on the promise that "all other burgers will be disappointing after an AF burger"
Enjoyable experience , was waiting a while to get and pay for the bill..
All good did enjoy my visit and my kids really love it, good value for a family tea.
Food good, service a bit slow even though it was a quiet night.
Food was amazing, service was wonderful and drinks where reasonably priced
Could not be more disappointed with the service at Almost Famous on the 24th of November. Our table was not ready when we arrived, the food was slow and arrived cold, and our sever who it transpired was the manager was clearly offended at having been asked to return our food to us hot. Because we could not avail of table service for drinks due to how slow the service was we were going to the bar to get our own drinks. After we had finished our meal we decided to get a night cap to finish off the evening, at which point the bar man refused service to my sister. With no reason given other than ‘the bar reserves the right to refuse service’. Upon asking to speak to the manager, she arrived back again and demonstrated that her level of professionalism and customer service was less than adequate to serve in her role. She was unhelpful, rude, made no attempt to solve our grievance and actually ended walking away from us when she had had enough of us trying to vocalize our upset. I had booked Almost Famous upon recommendation of friends for having family over in Leeds for the weekend and could not have been more disappointed with the venue and service overall. So very frustrating and would not recommend to anyone based on Saturdays experience.
Burger was lovely but the chips were cold. This was 2 seperate peoples. Sent them back and second batch cold too. Wasnt even the top few - underneath too. Asked if we wanted to get some more again but by that time we had finished our burgers so kindly declined. They did take thwm off our bill but spoilt our birthday meal out to be honest.
Deffo would recommend the burgers though and my friend who had sweet potato fries enjoyed hers.
We’ve been here several times and love the food the burgers are creative and so are the sides. The food is always tasty and fairly priced for the quality and quantity. However, the restaurant seemed dirty tables and seats needed a good clean and the place could do with redecorating as it’s starting to look worn out and tired, this affects the ambiance. The service wasn't bad but was basic. We love the food but overall experience isn’t superior.
Overal it's ok. I've been here plenty of times but the last time we waited 50minutes for our food. The staff could have mentioned that they would be late with the food but they did not mention. Will not be returbing any time soon.
The last time I came here we sat for an hour and a half waiting for a table in the bar, we was told would be 30 minutes. We then were eventually told there was a gas leak and so were not able to cook anything, so sent home after 1.5 hours with nothing more than a sorry.
Recently booked in on this Sunday gone 18/11 on the app. To then receive a voicemail 3 hours later telling me they had a gas leak and so the resteraunt was shut. Again it’s not good enough at short notice and to not be reimbursed for time wasted.
The service was so poor that we had to walk up to one of members of staff to ask if we could order after waiting for 40 minutes, other wise who knows how long we would have been waiting just to order food! Luckily the quality of the food made up for the bad service and would definitely go again.
The waitress couldn't look less interested in serving us if she actually tried, which she obviously hasn't. We thought it was a movie bit until we realised it wasnt. It was noted across my group of friends, which was embarrassing as I had suggested the place to eat.
The food as always is good but was slighly cold when it arrived. If you're going to charge someone £5 for fries you could try to make them hot.
I love Almost Famous but I guess I'm just waiting for something better to come along.
Came to eat here again four years after our first visit. Great burgers and sensational sides, I’m sure we’ll return when we’re next in Leeds!
We booked two weeks prior for a work night out. When we arrived we were told there would be a 45 minute wait for food. This wasn’t an issue as we were having a few drinks aswell. The food finally arrived after 1 hour 20 minutes. The food was tasty but cold and obviously had been rushed out. This was extremely difficult for the staff members who I am sure were deeply embarrassed. We were offered a discount on our food. I would go back but would need to check how many chefs were working first.
Perfect place for an top notch American burger and chips. Six of us in, fed well and out in an hour, perfect for going on to something at the townhall after.
Great food, great selection, quick turn around.
Defo be re visiting 😄
Service was brilliant and food was amazing. The atmosphere was buzzing and even though there was a large group in they served us first.
Being to Alomst famous a few times now and had no complains with the restaurant and it's service. The food is outstanding the service is spot on. I'm my opinion it's the best burger place in Leeds
Amazing food, good service and fair price!
Thank you Almost Famous - best burger place in Leeds!
Cool venue with a laid back atmosphere! Well nice food & good cocktails at a really good price !
The burgers are awesome I went with the Leeds burger and it is outstanding besides the two burgers being good the pulled pork is the best I have tasted yet and through on mac& cheese and the challenge is on. It’s a pity my grandson was not with me because this is all his favourites in one place. All I can say is seek this place out and give it a try
Food was amazing as usual, service was a little slow but food defiantly made up for it
My daughters 11th birthday
First visit and impressed on all levels, service, staff, drinks but most of all the food! A burger most definitely worth another visit very soon.
SO slow, we waited nearly an hour for our food and completely missed the event we'd come to the city centre to see. Heavy, greasy, and queasy even with a powerful hunger after the long wait. Go elsewhere.
Sadly let down by The service - well lack of staff. Those staff in attendance were great but we waited 35 minutes for our refillable drinks which when they came were mainly ice. Then another 10 minutes for food which when you are on a lunch break is not good. Which when you are also ordering the discount lunch deal was a suspreising. Food was great though!!
