In keeping with the spirit of Lady Amber Fitzwilliam, whose famous Thursday Club ran for many years at the hotel, we offer relaxed entertainment in the luxurious setting of Amber’s restaurant every Thursday night. Sample delicious food and an elegant drinks menu to a backdrop of live acoustic music from a handful of carefully chosen local artists. £30 per head for 2 courses or upgrade to 3 course for an additional £7.50 per head. Friends of Amber's are welcome to use their 20% discount. Live music between 6.30pm and 7.15pm & 7.45pm and 8.30pm

Fantastic Sunday lunch; everything cooked deliciously. Plenty of vegetables, good cut of beef, nice thick gravy. Lovely service, attentive and friendly, not in your face. Nice setting and atmosphere. Super value.

Large and spacious restaurant with a broad menu. Food quality was good though the service was of mixed quality. Staff tried to be friendly but some lacked experience and finesse. Service was unrushed. Wine list is limited but adequate. Prices were quite high - £70 per person for two courses, wine and coffee. We live locally and will definitely go again but there are lots of other restaurants in the vicinity to choose from.

Thank you we thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch hosted by Amber's restaurant. The hospitality was excellent, our Spanish waitress provided the most perfect service as did Gary. Our food was also excellent, we both emensly enjoyed our Sunday lunch. We will be back.

Very nice relaxing dining experience in lovely surroundings with delicious Sunday lunch served by friendly attentive staff, only sorry we didn’t have any room for dessert. Highly recommend!

We picked Ambers at the Cedar Court hotel as we had heard the hotel had recently opened this fine dining restaurant. What we didn't realise is that it is also the large main hotel dining room. The restaurant is a high ceiling function room, where 25-30 coach tour guests were also having their inclusive' dinner. It certainly didn't feel intimate. The staff were obviously under pressure and the ones who served us although pleasant said they were new. Starters were ok-cold goats cheese salad would have been with the goats cheese warm. The bread arrived after the staters after asking 3 different members of staff where it was. Another staff member came to our table looking lost and said are you table 2? Salmon? we didn't know what table we were but hadn't ordered salmon..... and so on. Main courses were better and the lamb very tasty. We didn't have dessert however they did come with a small cake plate as we were celebrating a birthday. Maybe we chose a bad night ....

My mother’s birthday celebration- a delightful afternoon tea at Amber’s. Easily the loveliest little sandwiches and a fabulous scone with jam and clotted cream plus three delicious cakes. The coffee and tea was replenished so nicely and the staff were attentive and very helpful with special requests - no cucumber on the sandwiches for example. It was quiet on the day we visited but that was perfect for the occasion. The environment is delightful, clean, spacious, very attractively decorated and the room itself with high ceilings and traditional coving etc was old Harrogate at its best. Thanks for a lovely meal.
