Excellent food good service highly recommend to anyone. The mixed grill was very tasty but plenty of it so would next time choose not to have the Meze starter as the amount you get is very filling. The portion sizes are very generous so choose wisely from the excellent choices. Looking forward to my next visit plus they also deliver !!!
Been to this restaurant on a couple of previous occasions. The food is very good quality and the service first class! Not too pricey either.
Fantastic service, food and value. Great atmosphere and the waiter was very friendly would definitely recommend and return.
Great food and service. Food was great but a bit overpriced.
They had 1 poor girl serving the whole place, the falafal wasn’t fresh, the portions were small. We asked for everything to come at once and it came it in bits meaning all the sides had gone before the main arrived.
On request our waiter moved us with question as our table was very noisy. The food was pretty average in our opinion - my moussake was actually pretty tasteless and luke warm. The waiter was friendly.
Good food and friendly staff.
Limited wine selection and plain food
Our group of six greeted warmly and ushered directly to our table upon arrival.
The wait staff was friendly, but professional and prompt with their service. The food was excellent and the seating comfortable. Roof lighting consisted of a number of chandelliers made with multicolored glass that created interesting visual stimulation.
I live in the USA, but would return to this restauarnt whenever in London, and would defintely recommend to frineds who plan to visit the souhwest of London.
Really tasty food, good portions and excellent service.. would eat there again
Excellent great food and service. Selected a range of dishes for family that we all shared- superb
Great wide food selection, buzzing atmosphere, and friendly staff
We were staying with a relative in Morden so hopped on the tram to Wimbledon to find a decent place to eat. Great selection of meze and main courses, with huge portions. We had four starters (including tabbouleh) and one main between two and it was plenty. The next table had a large party who seemed to take most of their main course home, having failed to polish off all their starters. Helpful staff and lovely atmosphere.
Very mixed. Borek and grilled Chicken Kul Basti were excellent; Icli Kofte lacked seasoning and taste and most of the Lamb Shish cuts were quite tough.
Great experience all round. Took my friends who had never had Turkish before, who are now looking to go back soon.
Delicious freshly cooked food with delightful service!
We really enjoyed our meal at Ambience. The food was very good and the portions really generous and good value for money. The service was good and very friendly. We’ll definitely go back.
We've been to Ambience before. The meals were beautifully decorated with salad. This time there was no salad other than some cooked tomato. I had lamb which was delicious but it came with dry rice and the tomato. It wasn't an interesting meal without the salad. If this is their new menu then we won't be going back soon.
The grilled prawns with pepper vegetables was far too highly spiced.
I did not eat all the peppers.
The lamb casserole however needed more herbs and spices to bring out the taste.
Great place for a small town in Wimbledon. Definitely worth as try. Service is very good!
Very friendly staff. The food portions were bigger than expected which was a pleasant surprise. Good selection of cocktails and desserts. A great experience
Nice restaurant and was quiet enough for the group. A bit pricey but tasty and friendly
Great restaurant. Good food( great portion size!) Friendly polite staff. Gorgeous lighting! Good value. Definitely recommend 😀
We had a family dinner on a Sunday evening to celebrate my son getting a great new job. The food and cocktails were excellent and reasonably priced and, despite it being a Sunday evening, the atmosphere was lively. Perfect for a celebration.
Food was great quality & so fresh & delicious!!! Staff were very helpful & friendly. Will be back very soon & we highly recommend Ambience to everyone!
Good food and service, attentive hosts. A good neighbourhood place for every day and special occasion dining.
The food was very nice and the Turkish wine complimented it very well. Well worth trying it.
Excellent meal at Ambience. We have ordered takeaway with them for years and have been blown away by the food so we finally decided to visit the restaurant with a couple of our friends. The food was exceptional, service was good too although we did have to ask for bread a couple of times (The bread is divine!!!) I would definitely recommend and we will be back soon and no doubt ordering takeaway too!
Great restaurant. Very attentive service and outstanding food. They deserve their award and it's nice to see a local restaurant on national TV every day!
This occasion I visited on my own before going out but next time I will bring all my friends!
Keep it up guys and congrats!
We had a fun night at Ambience. The place was packed but despite this the waiters were incredibly attentive and friendly at all times. Food was delicious! We hope to go again soon.
Good food, but the service and the ambience is so/so
Wanted something different from overpriced Italian restaurants so found this.
We dined on the OT special menu and if it's on offer when you book ,go for it.
The downside for this restaurant is it is out of town so you need to get a 156 bus if using Public Transport as we were. Quite easy from the station.
I would not recommended this restaurant if you are looking for a cosy romantic meal. However, if you
are looking for a good ,plentiful , meal in pleasant surroundings with friendly service then this fits the bill. We were also offered some complimentary Baklava at the end of the meal. A nice touch which was appreciated. The Wine list was the usual rip off. A pet hate of mine. Only two bottles per colour
under £20. What ever happened to the Carafe of House Wine?
This is a local restaurant for me and I recommended it to two friends so it was disappointing that, despite it not being busy, we had to ask for our plates to be cleared and for the main meal to be served and we gave up on desserts and teas/coffees
The groupon deal we got made this worthwhile- 3 courses plus olives & bread for £26 (2 people). The food was nice and there was enough of it, but there was nothing special about it. Service was OK, we got what we asked for an had a friendly waiter, but again nothing outstanding. there needs more of an atmosphere there, rather than more staff than needed 'hanging around'.
Went for dinner mid-week on a quiet night. Opted for a-la--carte rather than the mezze as previous reviewers had warned about huge portions. Starters were all excellent - but huge portions. Mains tasted okay but there was nothing special either about the flavour or presentation. Service was good. All drinks were very reasonably priced. Surroundings were clean and comfortable, not necessarily for a special occasion. Judging by the quality of the starters, there are obviously some dishes that would be worthwhile getting as a takeaway, but maybe not sitting down to.
We went there for group lunch and it was very quiet at lunch. The quality of the food was ok and service decent. Not a place I would recommend for great quality, fresh food but would eat there again if I was in the area and needed to eat.
Lovely little restaurant, fast service, fresh, tasty food. Attentive, friendly service.
Food was great. However I was quite underwhelmed by the general experience. We booked for a staff party as the website said - Live entertainment (belly dancers), a nice bar. There was no entertainment and when we walked in the bar looked more like something down the local high street... not somewhere a group of girls wanted to stand around and enjoy cocktails.
The Ambience in Wimbledon is a delightful family run Lebanese restaurnt with very good service and delightful menu with good quality food. Would recommend.
