The experience was very nice. I enjoyed it and would recommend to others and return as well.
This was my second time there and has become my new favorite. We absolutely LOVE everything about Ambrosia. The food is phenomenal, the setting is calm yet energetic, the service is straight forward and with decent timing. We will continue returning to Ambrosia.
Service was prompt, and the food was outstanding! Probably the best pasta dishes I’ve had in Philly. Can’t wait to go back and take friends and family!
Ambrosia’s kitchen is consistently excellent — the duck last night was among the best I’ve ever had. There is ample outdoor seating. This is now our number one neighborhood spot.
The food can’t be beat - everything is wonderful! And the staff friendly!
Everything we had was absolutely delicious. And the service was wonderful.
The most delicious meal I have had in a long time. It’s so fantastic
Our favorite to go to date night restaurant in Philly! The food is to die for…nothing on the menu disappoints and trust me I’ve tried the whole menu. If there is a special, I definitely recommend getting that. My all time favorite is the short rib pappardelle and salmon belly. The service is amazing and love that it’s BYOB :) if you’re looking for a cozy, delicious and superb dinning experience in the city of Philadelphia then you must try Ambrosia!
This was the 2nd time I had brunch & enjoyed the food both times . At this meal I shared apps of grilled octopus , eggplant burrata toast & arugula salad. I also shared 2 entrees - rigatoni with lamb sausage & the baked eggs. We sat outside on both visits & felt very safe . Service was good & the menu offered a nice variety of choices.
We had an amazing time. Food is exceptional as well as service. Highly recommend!
Incredible homemade pasta! The flavors exploded in your mouth and everything was cooked to perfection. Our new favorite Italian place. Service and ambiance are superb. 5 stars hands down.
Great caring ‘neighborhood’ atmosphere and service with sublime food. Prepared with fresh ingredients, imagination and care
Food and service always good. Save room for dessert
Always great! Maybe best Italian food in Philly - always a good time, never disappointed in the meal. The branzino and pappardelle were excellent!
First time at Ambrosia. We sat outside. It was very quiet - no noise disturbances at all. We had a very nice baked pear salad. We ordered the duck and squid spaghettini as entrees and had a pistachio panna cotta for dessert all of which were very good. The menu had a wide a range of choices. We'll be back.
The food is fresh, comforting, and consistent. I personally crave the papardelle. The BYOB is amazing and really allows diners to experience many dishes rather than paying additional for alcohol.
Great food and service!
“Wait staff” Is Aptly Named: All we did for 2-1/2 hours for our special birthday lunch was WAIT! And wait and wait! Upon arrival, we asked for 4 wine glasses with ice as we’d brought a container with Aperol spritzes (it’s a byo)…after telling 3 different wait staff what we wanted, 30 minutes later we finally received one water glass filled with ice…not enough for 4 of us. After 45 minutes still no more ice came. We asked waiter after waiter and multiple busboys if we could order and nothing— even the manager dismissed our request and said someone would come, but they never did. After almost two hours we got our appetizers, followed immediately by our main courses with not enough room on the table. Requests for a 2nd bottle of Pelegríno took over a half hour. Suffice it to say, the service was beyond horrible and ruined our brunch celebration. Not one staff member removed anything from the overcrowded table…EVER! We had to stack the empty glasses that had contained the ice, and the pelegrino bottles we put on the ground, and ALL of our plates were piled up when the check was brought…not one thing was ever cleared. I’ve never been treated so poorly and dismissively at a restaurant in my entire life and we are regulars at this restaurant. What the h#&*? Unbelievably infuriating…and no apology! We left a 20% tip, which was 20% too much. This has to be the most poorly managed restaurant in the city.
This was our first visit to Ambrosia. Sat inside on a Saturday night. It’s a small place with an open kitchen, so it’s quite loud. Service was outstanding. Appetizers/small plates and pastas were excellent. Only let down was dessert…the cherry gelato tasted artificially flavored and the tiramisu was less creamy than I’d prefer. Overall a great meal and we will absolutely return (but perhaps will skip dessert).
Loved all of it from grilled octopus to gnocchi !
Phenomenal! Food was absolutely delicious, papardelle was out of this world. Lots of short rib & pasta was cooked to perfection. Service was truly top notch water was filled, plates were promptly pulled away, great timing of app and dinner plates. Can’t wait to go back!
Second time there. Excellent both visits. A real gem off the beaten path in Center City.
Took two other couples to Ambrosia who had never been their. It’s are going to neighborhood restaurant that never disappoints. They all loved it. As always George and his talented chefs and attentive waitstaff did an outstanding job! I never hesitate to bring friends to Ambrosia because it never fails to impress me and my guests.
Delicious food, reasonable prices, great service. Will be back soon.
My sister and I really loved the food here! Desserts were okay, but our pasta dishes were great.
New restaurant for me and my friends and we weren’t disappointed. The food was so delicious! Will certainly return!
Spectacular food as always. It was a little annoying when our reservation with an indoor table request was not initially honored, and they had to set up a table in the walkway near their kitchen. But it turned out to be a comfortable location and all worked out super well.
Everything was really good and cooked perfectly. The desserts were excellent
Great for a date night. Great service and food was amazing. Staff went above and beyond to make sure date night was a hit.
Went here for a date night. We were outside and ordered the beet salad, two types of homemade pasta, and finished with the chocolate mousse dessert. Everything was delicious and portions were great (I had enough to take home for lunch the next day). The menu here has so many great options—we will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service’
Our server, David, was outstanding. Seated at the reserved time. Great table for 6 inside. Food was tasty and hot.
We requested indoor dining when we made our reservation, when we arrived we were told only outdoor was available and they stuck us in a hut walled in by plastic and glass with NO ventilation. We sweltered in there because the temp was in the upper 80's and it was very humid. This horrible atmosphere ruined what was a very tasty meal.
Delicious! Tell all your friends!
First time there definitely going back - pasta was delicious as was burrata eggplant appetizer
The food and gelato/sorbet we ordered were delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will come back!
Live this restaurant for everyday dining
Appetizers were excellent. We had the grilled Octopus and the crispy artichokes. We shared 2 pastas. The pappardelle with short rib rage and the squid ink with seafood. Both were very good!
Excellent pasta, great service with a neighborhood restaurant vibe.
The eggplant burrata and mushroom risotto was amazing. Food came out slightly too hot but it wasn’t long before it was bearable. I had an octopus and crispy gnocchi to-go. Both were great as well. Food running was timely, as well as clean up. The owner George came over to greet us and chat for a while. I will definitely be returning.
