It's closed down now unfortunately so you can't see if it's worth the five stars I've given it.

After another excellent lunch at this lovely restaurant, we were told that they would be closing the following day (18/3/17) It was very sad as we had been going there so regularly and really enjoyed the food. The good news is that they are planning to open again, once they have found suitable premises to relocate to. They have promised to email, when they reopen & I will pass the good news on.

Cocktail and atmosphere were lovely plus a great location! The service was good all round but the food itself was very bland across all the dishes which was disappointing as we ordered both a veggie and vegan pasta dish along with the bean puree starter. Probably wouldn't go there for food in the future.

The vegetarian Burger was very abundant and tasty, however I would recommend avoiding the veggie schnitzel - strange taste, very chewy texture. The gorgonzola gnocci or pasta dishes looked delicious and a safer bet! Shame we were the only clients in the restaurant, we outnumbered staff and it was very calm, however this maybe because it was a midday meal in the week and because of tube strikes. Cappucino is soup sized and weak - disappointing from an Italian kitchen

Surly, inattentive attitude. Cold, uninteresting food. Having notified the staff that time was limited, their glacially slow service resulting in hurried, even missed courses. Appalling - not to be repeated.

Great main courses. Veg burger and ravioli were exceptionally good. Desserts could be improved (dryness and texture could be better with vanilla roulette and cake. Rum baba was not enjoyable on the night). Restaurant is in 2 halves, staff could be more attentive to areas that are out of sight.

I love the service, the ambience - very cozy and welcoming! I also like its daily menu. I like knowing the ingredients are fresh. However perhaps it's what we chose but my truffle pasta seemed a bit undercooked. The sauce very good though! I like the zucchini fries. The pasta portion seemed on the small side but I don't really mind because that means more room for starters, side dishes and dessert! I will definitely try again since I love the veg concept but may try other items.

Very friendly service, for a Saturday lunch with a veggie friend, who absolutely loved it. The table mats tell you the story of the Italian producers who are behind this and its sister restaurants here and in Naples. Very generous portions, not the most subtle execution, but done with a good heart. Wine list offers Italian grape varieties not often seen.

Food was unimaginative, very pricey and bland. We went for my birthday and were incredibly disappointed with the quality of the main courses. The Blueberry and banana dessert was very dry - no sauce to make it moist. Only good thing was the ice cream with espresso coffee.

This is a rare find in The City, and probably the only up-market organic, vegan and vegetarian place of it's kind. It is how we all should be eating most of the time to reduce carbon emissions resulting from meat consumption. I absolutely love the concept and would love to see a place like this fully packed every lunch time. Sadly, the meals do not come out very fast, so that is a downfall. This may be because things are made fresh and overall, the lack of pace is better for wellbeing and the environment. However, maybe a lunchtime menu change is required to get 3 courses within the hour.

Really enjoyed this vegetarian restaurant. If you are a meet eater the absence of meat is not missed. My vegetarian colleague really enjoyed the freshness and flavour of the ingredients. The lunch time fixed price menu represents excellent value for money. Although could do with some more imagination for main course. Would definitely eat here again.

Amico Bio in Farringdon - Very nice characterful quirky elegant restaurant in the cobbled back streets of old Farringdon. Quiet when we got there (6pm) but nicely busy when we left. Very nice ambience, enhanced by the gentle jazz playing in the background. Service was excellent, very attentive, and food was excellent too (and thats from a confirmed carnivore). And so many options I could choose from too, I will definitely be going back.

Went there on a Sunday at lunch time. Food was really not nice. I used to go there all the time, early last year and it was very good! But when I retured last week I was really disappoint. Firstly you had to have a set menu, 3 course £25 per person. We didn't want 3 courses. But they said that's the only options. So we partook. I had a tidy salad which was very flourless. Just lettuce and tofu and oil. The main was cold on arrival, and the aubergine was undercooked. They took it back and heated it. But the aubergine was still super chewy. I asked if the chef had changed as I was disappointed. The waitress said no, shrugged her shoulders and said sorry. Dessert was nice though.

The food was very disappointing, everything lacked salt and taste! I booked this restaurant thinking it would be a great treat for my friend that is vegetarian, and unfortunately the food either came with no taste or was cold. I also did not appreciate the £1 additional charity charge that is added to the bill without even asking. I would always add £1 when prompted at the card terminal, but adding it without even asking by a restaurant is rather intrusive I would not recommend, save your money and go elsewhere

Service was very friendly but we had to wait a while for someone to come and ask us what we'd like to drink. Strange considering we were the only people in the restaurant. On sight the menu looks very good but the food did not live up to expectations. All rather insipid. Chef seems to use salt as a flavouring. We've been vegetarians for over 30 years so know what can be done. This restaurant needs to try harder.

We were disappointed. The food wasn't up to scratch , I'm afraid, dull and somewhat tasteless, unlike any Italian food I've eaten either here or in Italy and gives vegetarian food a bad name. It's very sad, and a shame given the ethical credentials of the place - and the ambience was tired and dated and cramped. Worst of all was the inapppropriate 70s middle of the road pop muzak churning out of the speakers over our heads. Won't be returning.

We had a lovely meal here before a show at the Barbican. The staff were attentive and made sure our meals were served quickly (we only had an hour to eat after transport delays). The restaurant has a nice relaxed ambiance. We both ordered the butternut squash and cep ravioli which was delicious and filling, followed by vegan chocolate cake and pistachio ice cream (yum!). Nice selection of organic wines. Would definitely recommend it to vegetarian friends or those looking for a healthy, affordable restaurant with a cosy, romantic atmosphere. We were happy to make the voluntary donation to an emergency relief charity on our bill - very nice, ethical touch!

We had great expectations for the food but it ended up tasting like something de-frosted out of a box. And it was incredibly expensive for the low quality-the appetizers were just small portions of olives and deep fried coquettes without any taste. The pasta was horrendous-overlooked rotini with cheap cheese sauce (tasted like American macaroni and cheese) They didn't even have any vegan options for pasta that night-only if you ordered from the pre-fixed menu which was almost £30 a person. We decided to give dessert a chance and it was apple and pear crumble. So disappointing! It is so easy to create a tasty vegan crumble topping but instead they covered the dessert with these dry cereal puffs that tasted awful. Why not make a simple oatmeal vegan topping like any vegetarian/vegan recipe that you can google yourself. I think the restaurant makes non-vegans think that being vegan is very boring and low quality and for longtime vegans like ourselves, it was a big disappointment because it is actually quite easy and cheap to make high quality vegan food and yet this restaurant over charges for very low quality.
