   We never fail to enjoy a vist to Amuse. The food is meticulously prepared and, although some might consider the portions small, you would find it difficult to say you did not feel full after four courses. Fish course options are a highlight on the menu. Desserts are innovative and we would recommend the wine pairings. Can compete with London on quality and price.

   Amuse is hands down the best restaurant in Scotland. From the house-made bread to the appetizers, mains, and desserts—every bite was a 10/10. The fish course was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection, and the roe deer was tender and absolutely remarkable. But the real showstopper? The vanilla rice pudding—easily the best dessert I’ve ever had. The service was top-notch, attentive without being overbearing. I’m visiting from Houston and was so blown away I went twice in one week. That’s how good it is. Can’t wait to return on my next trip!

   Food was excellent, service was good but not great and the cost was about what I would expect to pay. We would definitely go back.

   Beautifully decorated restaurant . Very quiet with not much ambience . And although we like dogs we were quite surprised to see they were allowed in the restaurant .

   Food was delicious and piping hot which we really appreciated. Service was a bit slow and although being asked when booking if it was a special occasion and providing the details, this was not acknowledged in any way. Why ask the question?

   Have been to Amuse four times now and this was definitely the most disappointing. Starter was nice, Venison Ragu but the main course Seafood Gratin was so salty I began to feel quite sick and could not finish, oh and it was supposed to have mussels , I eventually found two about the size of a half penny. Friend had the other fish option on the menu which she stated was ‘quite nice’ but very small portion. Unlikely to be back again. Went home hungry and had some cheese on toast……..delicious.

    A memorable Mother's Day lunch. The staff always go above and beyond and are faultless. I fancied having a Breakfast Cocktail to accompany my steamed marmalade pudding and although it does not feature on their menu after emailing them they ensured it was there for me. And that marmalade pudding was devine. A perfect dining experience
