Here at Amuse we cook from the heart, sourcing outstanding regional ingredients always in season to ensure they are at their peek. Our style is modern Scottish with French notes, elegantly presented and packed full of natural flavours where the ingredients take centre stage. Our menus change with the seasons to celebrate the arrival of new produce.

We are small dedicated team working together to give you a memorable experience, whether it's a few classic cocktails perfectly made in The Snug, bespoke tasting menu in our private dining room or a long lazy Sunday lunch with the family.

    Following the hype we were excited to go to Amuse during Aberdeen Restaurant week. While the pre theatre menu was limited to 2 choices per course it was competitively priced and the choices sounded tempting. I'm afraid we were both disappointed with our food. My veloute was sweet potato, lime and chilli with chives. I couldn't taste any chilli or citrus and it waa poorly seasoned and lacked any body. My husband's parfait was likewise bland and only the mango chutney brought it to life. Our mains were similarly unimpressive. I had a piece of beautifully cooked chicken but again no seasoning, set on a flavourless orzo pasta and vegetable combo with a watery flavourless sauce. The sea bream on a bed of baba ganouche well cooked again but lacking anything to elevate the dish. Perhaps if we had gone with the a la carte menu we would have been impressed however in my opinion these promotional events are to draw in new customers and impress them enough to make them want to come back! In this case I'm afraid I don't!

    A work dinner for seven. Great service and excellent food. Did six of the best and was a very good, no dish disappointed. Will have to go back again and try the wine pairing.

    The Sunday Roast was exquisite: every element was perfect. The Saint Emilion was a perfect accompaniment and served well. Unfortunately, our table for two was squashed in a corner with the adjacent table facing a different direction. This resulted in the chair of the very well endowed lady adjacent to me providing what felt like an enclosure. It would seem that perhaps this is the table saved for Itison voucher holders! 😅 This is the first voucher that we have purchased in years and we just wanted to make sure that we would continue to visit this restaurant. We will certainly return but not at this particular table.

    Food was delicious and service from our waitress was excellent - a lovely girl - but it was very expensive with respect to portion size.

    From when we first stepped in the door, staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was just amazing, so fresh, and was so flavoursome, My friend loved her birthday treat, thanks again
