About
Now we have a genuinely special place to enjoy food, drink and company and we look forward to welcoming you soon.
It was closed. Looking at comments it has been for a while so why are you taking bookings?
We arrived on time after booking through ‘Open Table’ only to find the Andover Arms CLOSED a week ago.
Regretfully we travelled and turned up for our booking, made only a couple of days in advance, to find pub closed and in darkness. We had not being contacted to be advised of the unexpected non availability. Embarrassing as we had guests accompanying us for the evening. There was a small sign on the door apologizing for inconvenience. Of course sometimes unexpected events create issues, however no notification of the issue was somewhat frustrating as we had no opportunity to identify alternatives.
As usual we had a really enjoyable lunch in Andover Arms. It is so relaxed and the food is a cut above other pub food
A great location and opportunity to become familiar with local culture. Food was excellent and the price was on-the-mark -- did not seem like 'pub food' as is often greasy, over-carbs, and lacking flair or interest. Could easily compete with more pricey restaurants in Kensington, Chelsea, Piccadilly, et al for quality and palette. Congrats to chef, staff and owner(s).
Very good food at reasonable prices in a friendly neighbourhood pub. I particularly enjoyed the rack of lamb, which strangely (to me anyway) was a good bit less expensive than the braised shoulder of lamb. Good selection of beer. Comfortable environment to eat and drink but the toilets could do with an upgrade!
Excellent food and venue. Service was a bit slow at times and we had to go up to the bar to order drinks twice. Otherwise highly recommended.
Great food, great portions very friendly and efficient service!
We booked for my dad's 80th birthday. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. The food was amazing we had a great time and will definitely be going back
Good food in a lovely setting, really enjoyed our evening. The chef made a huge effort with my friends allergies & she was delighted with the choices on offer. Thank you for the lovely service too, we will be back.
The food was good but a bit pricey and the waitress was very nice and patient when we were deciding what we wanted to eat. A nice quiet and very English pub a bit off the main roads so only if you know where is you can find it.
I had a very enjoyable meal with family visiting from New Zealand. I had the chicken pie, which was delicious, lovely pastry. It was a very busy Thursday evening and there was just one man doing all the table service and he did a brilliant job!
Lovely catch with friend but service was incredibly slow and waited ages for drinks even when it wasn’t busy.
Had to go and ask for bill as waiter disappeared. Very cold inside but beautiful little pub and food was delicious
Excellent local pub, well run, delicious food and ambience. They allow doggies too!
Very attentive service and fun ambience.
A bit costy but the food was very good (almost terrific) and the service was smooth and friendly
Great atmosphere and service I wish they had roast chicken but the pork was delicious I have had Sunday lunch here lots of times and it is always excellent and the vegetables are crunchy,I hate soggy veg
Me and my family ( french ) were in UK for christmas holidays, I was looking for a good and authentic british pub. I saw the reviews of The Andover Arms and everything is true. The pub is beautifull, the food and drinks are awesome and not very expensive, quick service, etc. It was a 10/10.
I will recommend them to everyone.
Christmas meal
Very good food , good ambient , excellent Sunday roast I had the lamb !
Posto non turistico, molto tipico. Ottima la cucina, l’atmosfera e il servizio. Da raccomandare.
Great Sunday roast! Probably the best lamb shoulder I had in London so far. And portion was huge! Enough for two normal hungry people :)
food was tasty, but very small portions and too expensive.
Good menu. All 3 of us enjoyed our dishes. The Carmenere we had was divine!
We were delighted by this pub.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and also very professional. The food was superb and served quickly which was good as we were going to the Eventim Apollo.
I had some great real ale and nice wine. We also were pleasantly surprised by our bill which representsed very good value. We would certainly recommend it and will go there again next time we are in the area.
Visiting London from New Zealand and decided we wanted to seek out this neighbourhood gem! What a gem it was too for a late lunch but from beginning to end I can see why this establishment is considered one of the best restaurants in London. The Andover Arms has a timeless quality about it where there is no rush, service is professional but friendly and those Cumberland sausages hit the spot!
Lovely pub with delicious food at good price. Also friendly service and not too noisy.
A nice place to bring friends for a relaxing meal. This time it was for Sunday lunch. Pork was lovely and my husband's fish and chips came with hand cut chips. A bonus!
One of the best roasts in London. The lamb is brilliant
Nice little pub, slightly tucked away. Good service and food.
Fantastic place to find. The food was home cooked, very tasty and great value.
Their Lamb Shoulder is excellent. We have eaten there several times and they have never disappointed. Try the sticky toffee pudding it's the best.
Farewell dinner for friends visiting from Australia and Canada, good traditional pub, made to feel very welcome with our baby. Sunday roast was great, in particular the lamb was outstanding.
The bill already Included the tip (12.5% of the total amount - £15.95). We were also given a ticket in which it was recommended to leave the tip in cash so the personnel would get it. If we had not been careful we would have given them double tip ! £30!!! In fact, this is what happened only a few days earlier when we had not realised about the double tipping. It is bad enough that you are "confusing" your customers making them pay double tip. It is outrageous that the tip included in the bill for service would not go to your staff! We will not come back again. That's for sure!
Food was good but we asked for a steak for two children and they served it with a peppercorn sauce and lots of peppercorns in the mash potatoes too. Not ideal for children!
I was there 2 time with my family, the food is very good, my wife say that she eat the best fish and chips ever, the burger are delicious, beer ok and the people are really friendly
We have already been there 2 years ago and we returned again for a dinner this year. It is quite far from the downtown but it worths the trip. Great food and service. Good beer.
Smashing to place to meet up with friends for an enjoyable evening with good food and good quality drink.
Love Andover Arms!! Always a great meal. It's the best roast I've had and always bring guests there when visiting from the US.
Very friendly & helpful staff. Steaks were cooked as requested. Food served quickly. Great rear garden for drinks & snacks.
This was a great find. Quintessential London pub with great food and atmosphere. Recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere near Hammersmith.
