Quaint restaurant, great service and staff. Food beautifully cooked and presented
Have no hesitation recommending to friends.
Fantastic service and delicious food!!
10/10 would recommend
Amazing food and the service was outstanding. I had the ham terrine which was quite a large portion and then the fish and Chips. Very yummy
This restaurant was recommended to us, so we thought we would give it a try on Friday night. the starters were nice. my main course which was pork was very fatty and cold, I sent it back and it came back exactly the same, cold. they apologised but still made us pay for it even though it was fatty and cold. My husbands lamb was very mediocre. the one positive thing to say is the wine is very reasonable and they have an extensive list, but the food lets it down.
I have been coming to Andrew Edmunds for over 30 years and it never disappoints.
I am so pleased to see it up and running again. Last night’s meal was delicious, as always, and the staff were very accommodating of our need to leave early for the theatre.
Not been for around 15 years - just as good as I remember it!
great food/wine and service. Lovely evening out. Fully recommend.
Really interesting food, fun service and cute restaurant.
Dark cosy romantic and atmospheric, food was excellent
Amazing food, amazing service and the most perfect location/setting! Best restaurant I've been to in London!
This did not dissapoint, I suggest going with people who like to share so you can try many things. Especially as the menu changes so often you would want to make sure you get a lot of tasting in as there is a lot of great stuff on the menu.
Food, service and ambience is great. Will definitely be back!
A lovely restaurant which while not spacious packs character and excellent service into everything it does. There was a good choice for all 3 courses, very good sized portions and it all tasted excellent. All the staff were friendly and professional throughout. Couldn’t fault our evening there and would recommend it.
We love Andrew Edmunds - been many times now. The service is exceptional and welcoming. The ambience is cosy and intimate. Food never disappoints and I always struggle to choose as so many things I would love! Go! Enjoy! Be back again on next London trip!
Excellent, quality food with friendly and professional service. One of my favourite restaurants. Great wine as well.
Lovely service. Treated us very nicely for our first visit. 10/10. Really Enjoyed. Will love to come again
Our first time here, and we will definitely be back. A fantastic wine list at very reasonable prices, the food and service were great, and a really good location!
Attentive staff, tasty rustic food and a great spot for a birthday dinner
Hi I brought two guests with me who were both new to London and to Andrew Edmunds. They really enjoyed the food and service though there was a very noisy group near to us who made our conversation difficult. I chose to have mussels as a starter and I'm sorry to say that as a result my stomach was very upset last night which was unfortunate.
This hasn't put me off coming again as your staff and so welcoming and the food generally good- tho I might avoid that particualr dish on my next visit.
Andrew Edmunds always delivers. It is a unique and intimate place in the centre of London. Great quality and prices!
The best food, fantastically friendly warm service ( well dome Ollie) and great atmosphere.
We had the most delicious meal here last night! The service was wonderful too and our lovely waiter recommended the most delicious wine. We can't wait to go back :)
Spectacular food, authentically warm and welcoming service, can’t wait to return.
Four of us in the end. Beautifully, simply cooked and presented brill and bass; perfect evenly rare thick tranches of roasted sirloin with carrots; delightful smoked eel and pickled cucumber; clams in the right quantity and sauce; treacle tart to die for, and an exact, and modestly proportioned cheese plate. A flawless meal.
Still, after decades, the same Andrew Edmunds, the restaurant that extracts affection in proportions that exceed the bill.
The place is helped in this regard by its famous, extraordinarily well-chosen and very well-priced wine list.
The François Lumpp 2014 white Givry, unfashionably and exquisitely just outside its conventional drinking window, and a sweet Pacherenc called "Brumaire" stood out; the Contino "del Olivo" Rioja was reliably divine. It was a birthday celebration; it wasn't cheap, but it was excellent value.
The staff are charming, and knowledgeable. They stood up to a post-Covid Saturday night with no very visible strain (including handling a large terrasse out on Lexington St, all neatly gone by the time we left).
It always strikes me that Andrew Edmunds is the central London restaurant for grown-up dates; a beautiful, half shabby Georgian building, a comfortable ambience of candled chiaroscuro, buzzy enough for privacy but still able to hear yourself think, a Soho location.
Don't miss it, and do bear in mind you can't book more than a month ahead ...
Very nice waiting staff. Order went slightly wrong but they put it right very quickly. Great food.
Fantastic fun and enthusiastic service and great value wines. Food was very tasty, some interesting dishes.
Fantastic food and atmosphere, great value for money. I will certainly be going back!
We had a lovely last afternoon in Andrew Edmunds. Great service. Great food. And great company. What more could you ask for?
Loved it. Food was delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful with excellent wine recommendations. Will definitely be visiting again.
A warm, friendly special restaurant
Been wanting to come here for ages. Beautiful food, relaxed but intimate ambiance and lovely staff. Love the Sherry menu! Great wine choices too. Will be returning soon.
I haven’t been to this restaurant fir about 15 years, and wanted to treat my husband for his birthday. I could not have asked for a more rewarding experience! Everything about it - the quality and thought in the menu, the knowledge and friendliness of the staff, and the intimate atmosphere - were just as I remembered. We were both able to order dishes we’d never attempt to make at home (smoked ox tongue to start, braised hare to follow) for a really unusual and memorable meal, and thoroughly enjoyed the generous portions. We couldn’t manage a dessert, but has a glass of wine and a coffee each, and even with service this special occasion meal came in at below £90 for the two of us. Although we had a 2-hour timed slot, at no point did we feel rushed. We will definitely be back as often as we can manage it, and my in laws have already taken the details so they can visit too.
First went here in the late 1990s, when it became my favourite restaurant. In 2021, it is still my favourite restaurant. An incredible, connoisseur's wine list, priced at little more than cost plus notional costs of storage over however many years. Not a place for showboats or trend-seekers - it has paper table cloths, candles in wine bottles and hand-written menus, no "development kitchen", no unnecessary, vainglorious, Michelin-seeking foams or absurd flavour pairings; just delicious, well-cooked food, tremendous, wines at customer-kind prices, and friendly, helpful staff. Every time I have been, I have felt a glow of genuine happiness and at peace with the world. I write this reluctantly, because the rule amongst afficianados used to be that one should tell only one other person about the restaurant, so as to keep it to ourselves. The restaurant is, after all, cosily small and could easily be over-run with diners chasing the zeitgeist. The impact of the pandemic has made such considerations appear selfish, and so I now write as I do. This is a fantastic restaurant, with an outstanding ambience and incredibly priced, excellently selected and stored wines. Et voila.
Wonderful as always. A beautiful dining experience.
A wonderful place and even more welcoming than before. Vegetarian options not as good as the more traditional fare - a lighter touch in the kitchen for these would be welcome. Wine excellent as always.
Delicious, fresh food served quickly and with a smile and complemented by a decent wine list.
Absolutely faultless- great menu and wine list. Charming service and a lovely restaurant. I had Dover Sole which was fantastic - sweet and perfectly cooked. Downstairs is a nice space - very atmospheric - but the ground floor is great for lunch. I have not been for 20 years and I will now be a regular. I really cannot recommend it enough.
Romantic place, candles on bottles, very cosy with traditional food with a friendly staff. Wine list is one of the best in London, got a beautiful old vintage Burgundy for 120£ Half lobster for 14£.
The gnocchi sauce was too salty but overall we spent a great moment. Thank you team !!!
Reconnecting with old favourites as was not disappointed. It shows how over complicated some places make great dining. Service and Food with style and passion. A great night with my Wife and thanks for making my little puppies so welcome too. Will be back soon.. Thank you
