Delicious food and wine. Lots of space, very friendly, approachable staff. We had a lovely evening and will be back soon!
It must be 20 years since our last supper here and we were delighted to find nothing had changed. As long as restaurants have silly mark-ups on wine, I won't give any of them five stars on price but Andrew Edmunds’ cosiness and pleasingly low lighting was just what we needed after a hot summer Saturday stroll through a couple of the royal parks.
Delight full place. Excellent food and really great staff. Perfect night out.
Super wines at great prices with simple, delicious food to match. A treasure.
Amazing food, wine and ambience, best hidden spot in london
Wonderful experience all round. I would certainly recommend it. Service was exceptional
The food was really poor. Unacceptable in a restaurant at this price point. Some if was of school meal standard if my long ago youth.
I’ve been here dozens of times over 30 or so years. The best - for value/quality- wine list in London and consistently good food
Unobtrusive but attentive service, the waiter was also spot on in recommending a wine we liked and was discreet in showing us the price.
We loved the menu and the waiters!
Always great options!
The handwriting could be better.
Wonderful meal as per usual from this Soho institution. Riesling was on point
Unique and fresh experience, staff and atmosphere were superb
Really enjoyed our first visit to this old time Soho stalwart. Very good food, short but well judged and competitively priced wine list and friendly, informal service. Would definitely recommend.
Always a lovely dinner and experience. The daily menu is always a treat
Comparatively to somewhere like the French House in Soho, the current incarnation of Andrew Edmunds feels slightly disappointing. Our waitress was lovely, generally up for a bit of banter, and accommodating of our boisterousness. Wine was nice, starters ok, nothing overly special, not bad, but not particularly exciting either. Mains(we all had pork neck) were poorly presented, and mean on portion size. Tasted good, but also, the whole dish was swimming in oil. Although we all like oil, this was too much. One of the table kept splashing oil on his clothes every time he had a mouthful of food, which tells you how tricky this was to eat also. Shared two deserts, both pleasant, chocolate desert quite rich and large for the richness, so definitely would have felt annoyed to order for one person and need to leave half. For a meal for 4, if you’re spending towards £300(which by London standards isn’t outrageous), Quo Vadis, The French House etc seem to do similar cookery, but much better. This was by no means the worst meal we’ve had, but will probably go down as unmemorable. Cute restaurant, but could be so much more special :(
Fantastic food. Something different each time and away from the standard menu most venues serve. The quality is excellent and a superb location right in the heart of Soho.
As always, a delicious meal with fantastic service. There were more vegetarian options than usual which was brilliant, however there could be even more (but I’m biased!) my only wish was that the candles could have been lit upstairs as it created a more romantic vibe.
I enjoyed the food, which was plentiful and well prepared and the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. I thought the wine was expensive (though probably on a par with central London prices). Perhaps they should explore serving cheaper wine in carafes for those who like wine but are not experts or connoisseurs.
Presentation of the food was poor, but the flavours were good.
I had a whole lemon Sole, asked for a fish knife which they did not have.
The pork my wife had for a main course was 75% fat, they did however replace the piece of pork with a chop which was well seasoned.
The staff were apologetic.
The food was very good, affordable price, lovely service, love the wine list too. There are outside tables too. I definitely go back there.
Andrew Edmunds is a lovely small restaurant in Soho. Each day the menu is different and handwritten (some teamwork may be required to decipher a word or two), all the tables have fresh bunches of wild flowers and a candle, very romantic setting.
I ordered the Pork with Peperonata. The pork was delicious with crispy crackling but a larger amount of fat that I would have expected... the peperonata was nice enough but didn’t feel like the right accompaniment for the pork... A summer stone fruit tart for dessert which was amazing.
Also note worth was the extensive wine list which was very reasonably priced.
Loved this place its always so good and so friendly
Excellent service and ambience, the food is superb.
What a gorgeous place! Such a cute restaurant, wonderful atmosphere lovely date spot. Super friendly and helpful waitress (helped me change up my main due to annoying dietary requirement) offered good advice and was generally very sweet. Food was excellent so delicious good portion size (we were starving on arrival and left very happily stuffed). Good wine list too. Would definitely go back!
I'm a repeat customer, which must say something. Tasty food, charming service, good atmosphere - what else do you want?
A lovely evening! Surprised to be seated near a rather frisky dog, however! There was also rather limited legroom
Very smooth service, great value for money place.
Is a plus, the Wine list with a nice selection at fair prices for be in central London.
Well done 👍🏻
Excellent food and great service, highly recommended
Amazing evening, outstanding food.
Always wanted to come here. Made it with a new date. Superb menu, extraordinary service. Worth it.
Prefer to sit upstairs than down . Make your own mind up on that one.
We love this restaurant - always a delight to visit. Wonderful staff, wonderful food and wine, wonderful service. We will keep coming back. Thank you!
Lovely staff, food and wine was incredible. A fantastic evening and will definitely be returning
The food, the wine, the service and the ambience are wonderful. And unlike so many London restaurants, it's completely unpretentious. And it's romantic.
Stunning food, wine and service. Can’t recommend it enough
COD ROE STARTER AND COMPANION ENJOYED THE ATTRACTIVELY PRESENTED OX TONGUE. THE HALIBUT WAS VERY SLIGHTLY OVERCOOKED, BUT DELICIOUS; THE AIOLI DIDN'T SEEM TO HAVE ANY TRACE OF GARLIC. VERY REASONABLY PRICED CHAMPAGNE, POL ROGER EXCELLENT. THE HALF BOTTLE OF FOURNY NOT SO GREAT. EFFICIENT, FRIENDLY SERVICE. WE SAT INSIDE BUT THERE ARE TABLES UNDER A CANOPY OUTSIDE TOO.
Another great experience at Andrew Edmunds. There is a reason I keep coming back and this was our first restaurant dinner since before the pandemic and that was at Andrew's as well.
A wonderful place. Fine food and friendly atmosphere. One of my favourites in London
My husband's Big Birthday lunch was everything we hoped it would be. Best table by the window, friendly but professional service, great ambiance and outstanding food. Plus an excellent and a very reasonably priced extensive wine list. A dependable delight and a genuine Soho institution.
A go-to. A must-visit. Nothing more needs to be said.
Fantastic food and wine with a lovely waitress! I would wholly recommend this to anyone wishing to dine in this area!
