Angelina is a family owned restaurant in Dalston, serving a surreal exploration of Japanese and Italian cuisines, cultures and influences. It’s as if a Nonna and a Baba spent a day together in the kitchen sharing recipes, and then decided to open a restaurant.
Whilst Italian and Japanese cuisines may seem worlds apart, at their core they share very similar values; food is regional, seasonal and created with minimal meddling and the deepest respect. We are passionate about these similarities and look forward to welcoming you with a smile!

The restaurant is beautiful, the concept fresh. Starters were outstanding, the pork main was not very good unfortunately (way too salty). But worth trying again.

Delicious food, gorgeous wine pairings, really lovely and attentive service, nice ambience, cute hidden little bar. A great addition to the Dalston food scene. We will head back soon!

Great place for interesting - and delicious - Italian/Japanese fusion food. Tasting menu with wine was delightful, adventurous, and faultless in execution and delivery. Wines - all Italian - were well chosen and wide ranging in type and taste.

Unbelievable food, very inventive but, most importantly, tasty! I wanted to start all over again as soon as I had finished. The wine recommendation was perfect, I loved the decor and the service was attentive and well measured.

Food is great! Fusion Japanese. Only complaint is that the portions are small, so you're left hungry. Wish they would serve either bigger portions, an extra course in the tasting menu, or complimentary bread, amuse buches, or palate cleansers between courses. Decor is stunning and very on trend. Great Instagram spot :)

Amazing 5 course tasting menu, lovely helpful staff, and overall great value considering the sheer quantity of food served. Really classy-casual vibe...interior was chic but low key and you would be at home in jeans or in a suit here! Unique Asian-Italian fusion that I will be recommending to my friends. Caters to vegetarians with a menu just for them too, which they are more than happy to veganise if needs be. Not really a destination for children though I must say.

Gorgeous looking restaurant and interesting menu but it works! Favourite dishes were the Unagi risotto and sirloin. Service was a little slow at times but to be expected during soft launch. Will be back and would love to have a drink in the bar, it’s tiny and looks really cool!

I am not usually a fan of fusion food but this mixture of Italian and Japanese really complimented each other well. I had the tasting menu and I could not fault any of the dishes, they were all excellent but my favourite was the Tonkotsu dish. The layout is great and I actually really enjoyed sitting at the food bar, where you can see the chefs in action while they prepare the dishes. If you have time, definitely try one of the cocktails in the hidden bar which are well worth prolonging your experience at Angelina. I can't wait to go back!

An absoulte Gem in London. The service and knowledge of every dish was impressive. The atmosphere was perfect for the party I was with, and the taste of the food was an enjoyable burst of flavours. Highly recommend the wine and food set menu.
