Sat outside and had to move inside because the 8 guest seating behind us were all smoking. Cigsrs, cigarettes and e-cigarettes! Very rude and disrespectful. We ordered the porterhouse special but were never tolled how much. We assumed something similar to your menu items. We were very surprised when the bill came and it was $160!!
I didn’t notice until I arrived home that the tip was included on the bill, I left another $45. They should let you know on the menu that the tip was included.
Service made the entire experience worthwhile. We sat outside and even on a windy day, it was a great experience
Wonderful food and service.
The food was wonderful and our server was so nice. They were great with my son's nut allergies. There was a bit of a delay with my meal, and they were very apologetic, brought us dessert. The outdoor atmosphere was beautiful.
Very misleading to have 2 restaurants using the same name. Chop house is basically a lobby/caf space outside The restaurant. We booked on open table. When we arrived we were told we could enjoy the menu but only if we sat outside In the noisy area with kids running around. We were treated poorly by the hostess. They did not try to assist us in any way. Have dined at their restaurants around the US and San Juan . We were staying near by at the Ritz Carlton and looking forward to a great meal .It took 45 minute to get our car back from the valet. Located in the Aqualina Resort . The hotel should post out front that they have 2 Il Mulino restaurants or disclose when booking. Or perhaps not use the name. We ended up back at our hotel with room service and will not dine with them again.
Each time we are in Miami we always come to AQ and usually we enjoy it a lot. But for the last few times we saw a changes and not on the good side. The presentation of the sushi was not good at all and they were not as good as usually. They served sushi on the regular white round plates. It looked like the plate from the buffet. Not respectful at all. They used to have very nice glass plates which were very nice for the sushi. They definitely have to get a new plates. Sushi on this plates doesn’t look right
Christmas day brunch. Over priced. First impression of restaurant, was more like a cafe. Service mediocre. Lacking ambiance.
Not busy but service was terrible. Every course was very slow and staff was very inattentive . The food was just as there really was nothing that I can say was very good. Just acceptable.
We were seated by the hostess only to be moved to another table as she made a mistake. We were then seated next to a table with multiple children using iPads and playing music on them. Asked to be reseated which the hostess could arrange however the hostess didn’t come back until until we were half way thru our meal. The waitress didn’t return to our table after taking our order. Another waitress noticed I was taking a bottle of water from the station to refill my own glass so she jumped in to help me. My cheesecake was $19 dollars which was crazy as I asked for pumpkin cheesecake that was only for the turkey dinners. I was incorrectly charged $35 dollars for one glass of Rose. My husband ordered ice cream for dessert and it came in a styrofoam cup with a plastic spoon. For a top rated restaurant the service was absolutely below acceptable. The flavors of our food was fantastic but the atmosphere and service didn’t outweigh the food.
Beware this isn’t the main dining room this in the lobby. Don’t waste your waste time!

Everything was amazing! The brunch buffet was incredible and our server Herb was amazing.
I have only one reason for giving this restaurant a poor review but it's for a good reason. I'm 63 years old and have been to many restaurants from little ma&pa to very high end and have had many different experience but I have never felt deceived and taken advantage of and that's how I felt from my experience here. They offered a special which was gnocchi that was suppose to be stuff with porcini mushroom with meat sauce. I have a garlic allergy and asked the server if they could make it without garlic and she said the chef could do it. They made it with no meat in the sauce and it was not a ravioli it was cavatelli pasta with a extremely thin layer of mushroom inside. I didn't say anything and just ate it even though it was not what I expected. What was shocking to me was that they charged 55$ for that meal which was an outrageous price even if it was what it was suppose to be. I didn't say anything because my husband said not to complain. I didn't ask how much the special was but didn't think I would have to since I've never in my life paid that sum of money for a pasta dish. I don't know how they can justify charging that kind of money for pasta. My husband ordered the Tuna and it was a hearty portion and it was good. The service was also excellent. I just can't get over what they charged for the dish I had.
Great food great service
Food was nothing spectacular. Overpriced. Would not go back. Restaurant was nice but food did not live up to the price.
Ambiance is terrible it's like a cafeteria. It was freezing in the restaurant very uncomfortable. Seats are better at the airport. Very uncomfortable. Food was not worth the price cold and must have been sitting in Il Mulino kitchen. Big disappointment for my wife and sons Birthday! Never go back.
Ambience was not exciting, especially for the price point. The food was good but not great: again disappointing for the price point. Service was very attentive. Not worth a drive, and not worth the price.
Me and my husband Visit Aq chop House two days ago, It was a beautiful experience beginning with the location, Aqualina Resort and Spa. It was a very romantic and relaxing dinner. We start at the bar with Ana Maria being our bartender, she recommended a couple of drinks from the cocktail menu and they were great. at the table Our server Lihanni was very attentive and explain for us the menu. We ended up choosing from the Miami Spice menu, everything from the appetizer to the dessert was amazing. We had a wonderful time and definitely will come back. Service and Food were on point.
Service very slowly
Ordinarily we have had good experiences and was very disappointed to see an obvious decline. The service was bad and we had to beg to get water and drinks refilled.
When we were holding out a glass to get the waiter/busboys attention and it spilled on the table. The manager saw this and nobody came to help clean up until our food arrived and they were about to serve over the ice and spilled water.
The food all came to the table at different times. The fish was overcooked. The meat was oversalted and the waitress warned us not to order it (so that one is on us).
When we approached the manager he was unresponsive and didn't so much as apologize.
My wife did like her dessert, but other than that it was a total disaster.
To top things off the valet misplaced our ticket and we had to wait a half hour to get our car.
The other couple we were dining with told me later that it was the worst food/service experience we ever had out of at least 100 meals.

Place is similar to a hotel breakfast lounge. Food offered in Miami Spice menu was gourmet fast food, simple, basic hamburger and so on. Never again...
Excellent as always
We selected a simple dish that was just okay but the venue, the breezy ocean view terrace on a hot day and the service were exceptional. Juan Carlos our server was so sweet, right there when needed and extremely accommodating. A wonderful person, he made our day!
William the Bartender was attentive and friendly. Was able to put on the Stanley Cup game for us at the bar. Filet was undercooked but they took care of us and offered us complimentary desserts.
This establishment provided the absolute worst restaurant experience that myself all my guests have ever encountered. We arrived early to our Monday 9:30 reservation, ordered 2 bottles of Amarone, a few appetizers and 4 steaks. The evening began with filthy glassware, and told ‘its dark out so they couldn’t polish properly’. There was no urgency to bring us new glasses, let alone serve us. The appetizers were fine, very basic but fine. And then we waited...and waited on our steak because ‘one was ordered medium well’. At this point the restaurant was empty. We are patient as it’s a beautiful evening, but now being after 11 we are hungry. Our steaks arrive and they are inedible. Each one was hard and grey, with sides that couldn’t have been prepared by anyone who has ever entered a kitchen before. The manager who had approached our table prior seemed dismissive until we became extremely vocal. The server then told us that the truth is we are coming to dinner too late in the night. We were offered to wait on new food, which was not an option as there was clearly no chef in the kitchen. Our wine bill was then placed on the table. A JOKE. Again we spoke to the manager and he finally seemed to realize how awful this meal was.
Thank-you Burger King for your 5 star drive thru! AQ should be embarrassed.
Sunday brunch is outstanding. A wide variety of dishes available buffet style, including lobster, Il Mulino’s awesome homemade pastas and a variety of desserts. Several options of cocktails are included in the price and service is very attentive. A little on the pricey side but well worth it!
