Only had drinks so can’t really rate food, drinks were good, nice spot
I enjoyed my experience at Aqimero overall, and think it was a good value considering the restaurant was located in a Ritz-Carlton. I mainly visited for their truffle fries which, as a Canadian living in the US, I miss eating. They did not disappoint, however were a bit on the pricey side at $15/serving. Service was adequate, and I was seated as soon as I came in and promptly attended to.
Very beautiful service was great for was delicious I had a nice girls brunch
Very good! The scenery is everything !!
Dinner for 6 in a lounge without proper tables is very difficult. Food was good although service slow. No bottles of still water available which is bad for a hotel restaurant. I have always like the atrium, just don’t understand why they don’t use any of their actual dining rooms.
I made reservations for bunch at 11a, we get there at 11a, and they say, the restaurant doesn’t open until 12p. I said but I made a reservation and showed them the app. They said oh well you you can sit in the lobby. So we sit until 12p then they move us literally a table over, still in the lobby. The actual restaurant is closed and is now in lobby. And when I say lobby, literally the lobby. There’s people in line checking in, people checking out, vendors rolling in different items for a wedding later that day. We wait almost 20 mins for a waiter and then I had to go to the host to say, hi, can you get us a waiter? Then they bring us coffee and it’s not filled all the way, it’s warm, and it had coffee grounds in it. It then took forever for our food, when it finally came we asked for hot sauce and maple syrup, which never came and we had to find some to then get it. Not to mention our food was cold. We were never checked on, never asked for refills, etc. We got there at 11a and didn’t leave until after 2p! 🥴🥴🥴
Service was horrible and food was only adequate for a five star hotel
It was a very nice dining experience. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive. When friends called me and said they would come and join us for an after dinner drink, the staff was most accommodating to add a table and seating. The staff went out of their way to serve us. The staff is very service oriented.
Excellent service, pleasant ambiance and food was prepared very well. Our server/waitress Lisa was very professional and charming. The gentleman who also served our meals was very helpful. Director of operations also checked in to make sure we had a good experience. We’ll return soon.
Our waitress was horrible and the drinks took 25 minutes to get to us and the food was horrible.
horrible breakfast experience. service was non-existent. had to beg to have someone come to our table. food was very subpar. menu was limited without warning until you were seated. it was overall a terrible dining experience. would urge all to stay away, esp for the prices paid. you're better off just going to Starbucks.
I did not like the attitude the waitress had.
The ambience was nice. The drinks were standard, not a long list of options for such as high end place. When we got seated at the lounger and accent chairs area, I just thought to myself how odd to be seated for a 6ppl dinner on coffee height tables. The food and drinks took awhile but tolerable I guess. The food was acceptable. I ordered the salmon which was cooked really well. I weren’t blown away by it.
For the pricey food and drinks, you’re really paying for the ambience. We had a good time with friends.
We arrived 15 minutes early and they sat us right away which was nice because we just walked the entire city. That was the only good part about this meal.
We were brought waters and greeted by our waitress after being seated for about 15 minutes. Keep in mind, it’s 6:15 in the evening, not that busy, and she’s walked by us 4 times and hasn’t even looked our way or said “I’ll be with you in just a minute”.
She asks us if we want anything to drink. My husband asked for a lemonade and I asked for an unsweetened ice tea. She said, “no I meant from the bar….” . Without having to tell the waitress that I don’t drink, I politely said “no thank you” as she looked at us funny. It was so rude and uncomfortable, I couldn’t believe that she was giving off the vibe of upset because we didn’t order alcohol.
We mention how we are ready to order and she just stool there. Again, I’m confused, should I just start ordering? Does she need to get a pad? Anyway, we place our order and then waited patiently for the food.
Our first meal arrived: Kale Cesare salad with no anchovies, and was delicious. Maybe we were starving or maybe were weren’t but everything after the salad went downhill.
Second course: crab flatbread. This tasted like it was straight out of a can, the flatbread was thick and chewy and the crab tasted awful and sickening. Sent it back and no one could understand why even though we mentioned that the crab tasted off.
Main course: pichana steak. It was not cook properly like a proper Latin hardwood grill would cook their meat. We are from Miami, I am half Cuban and Italian and I know this meat was cooked terrible and chewed even worst than it looked.
After our meal was done, my husband decided to mention to the waitress his experience. She completed seemed disinterested. Makes sense since the manager could care less about his customers experiences also since he never stopped by the table to ask.
I feel sorry for the hotel guest that have to eat here.
Excellent service and ambiance
Overall, highly recommended.
Terrible service for a so called "Ritz Carlton".
Had to ask the waiter to bring menus after sitting for 25min, then had to call him again to order the food 20 minutes later.
Food took forever to arrive and no apologies.
Food was good though.
Really disappointed overall, not a 5* hotel service, the service would actually be better in a regular hilton
We were happy to be able to return to one of our absolute favorite brunches in the city, especially on Father’s Day.
The food was great although the portion of the panini is on the small side for the price.
We were very sad to hear that the bottomless brunch option is no longer available. That kept us and many others we coming back almost monthly pre pandemic. Is this something that may return in the future?? It was truly the best!
Our server was pleasant and did his best with what seemed like short staff. I know this is happening everywhere. We did really enjoy what we had. Cocktails were great as well!
Horrible absolutely horrible
Overall great dinner experience. Our server was very nice, provided great suggestions and was attentive. The food was wonderful, the lamb chops were very flavorful and the plate looked great. Will definitely be back.
Our service was excellent. Our waitress Lisamari really hooked us up for our anniversary. The food was great and the drinks were tasty. I got the salmon my partner got the lamb and we both had margaritas. The ambiance is a little different than the pics show. While the marble, columns and several story domed atrium is really cool, it’s a lot more open than it seems with people coming in and out of the building who aren’t eating. It’s just good to know ahead of time. It was a very good time all in all.
The building itself was beautiful. But I was seated and was planning on having dinner but it took 20 mins just to have a server come over to me and then it was 35 mins before I even got my drink. It was over 40 minutes of waiting to even get my order taken before I decided to just close my tab out and go get food somewhere else. The place itself is beautiful so def worth checking out but maybe just for a drink at the bar.
We ended up leaving because no one came over to take our order.
Wait was around 45-50 minutes. But other than that experience was good.
After a long day of travel, we arrived at the hotel around 8:30pm. We were tired and hungry. We went to the hostess stand and were told, sorry, no table without a reservation. The place was empty. We told the hostess we are staying in the hotel. She didn’t care. It was pouring down rain outside, we really didn’t want to leave the hotel. I opened the Open Table app and amazingly I was able to book a 9:00pm reservation for the restaurant that just turned me away. The hostess was a little surprised when I walked back up and told her I had a reservation :). Absolutely, ridiculous. The service was terrible.
Unfortunately this was the worse experience I have had at Aqimero. I understand that they were understaffed. We were not seated until almost 30 mins after our reservation. Being seated in the lobby where there was so much traffic it ruined the ambiance. They actual dining area remains closed.
The service was slow and food was not worth what we paid. I hope it turns back to the great spot it was.
So VERY disappointed. It was recommended by a friend. We had 12:15 reservations for Sunday brunch. We waited 15 minutes to be seated. When seated we had a table in the lobby/ restaurant. We placed our order. Other than 4 cups of coffee, we didn't receive a bite of ANYTHING to eat until 1:45. I was floored! Then when the food finally came, the egg I had specifically asked to be fully cooked, was poached instead. The waitress was kind and the manager was accommodating but this was the Ritz Carlton. Will never dine there again and surely NOT recommend to anyone!
We had a 12pm res on Sunday since we were staying in the hotel. Service was our main issue. Our server was polite but it took her 15 min to greet us. When she did we gave her our whole order including 2 coffees. Our coffee was brought over and we weren’t checked on again until our food arrived which was 1:10. We were sitting for over an hour without any food. At least a coffee refill would have been nice. I saw at lease 4 servers on the floor plus a manager/hostess so the help was there but it just wasn’t good service. Food was just ok. Actually, the brunch menu is far too limited. They can blame Covid if they want to but there’s many places in town doing it far far better. If I were you I’d skip this one
I had the best time here. 5 stars because my date kept me laughing the entire time, the comfort and overall ambiance. This may of been the nicest restaurant I’d ever eaten in. Our food took an hour to come out.. reading other reviews, it seems like a common place for this location. They seemed to be under staffed but honestly, unless they were killing the cattle in the back, it’s a pretty long wait. It’s attached to the Ritz Carlton which was an experience in itself. My lamb chops were delicious. The steak was “aged” but quite delicious. Overall, I would visit again.
Great service… food and drinks were worth it! Would recommend
Kudos to the cook, food was amazing would return.......
The food was fairly good and the inside was beautiful. However, our service was quite horrible. We had to ask for more water several times throughout the night and our server was very rude to us. Our food took an hour and a half to come. We had to ask for another set of utensils and we were never asked how our food was.
Food was great but it seemed like they were really understaffed. The service was good, but it was very slow.
Service was incredibly slow, but not bad. Attended for Restaurant Week - which is a great value, otherwise pretty pricey.
The kitchen/service was definitely not up to par for a Ritz Carlton. The food was good, and our server was nice, but it took almost an hour for them to bring our main course out, and we cannot tell you how many times a staff person walked by and did not clear our table, or ask/refresh our empty drinks. We continued to be thankful and polite, but it seemed that by the end of our meal the server gave up on both. I thought that since it was a Ritz the stigma of a 'hotel bar' wouldn't be there, but it is.
It was exactly what I needed after being so restricted as to what I could do or where I could go because of the pandemic. I enjoyed my experience immensely. Everyone from the greeter to the manager provided such a warm, welcome, and super pleasant dining experience ❣️
Visited for restaurant week. It is really nice and the food was great. There was just a few thing that could have been better. We placed our order and it took about 1hour to get our appetizers. The margaritas we order did not taste great. It looked like the kitchen was backed up on orders and they were short on staff. Our sever was working with what she had and gave us a second round of drinks for the wait. She was really good. The food was delicious and we enjoyed that.
Nothing short of AMAZING!!!! It is a MUST to try there menu items!!!
Picanha steak is juicy, mushroom flat bread has a great balance of crispness and chewiness, churros are freshly made and ice cream is rich in fruit. However, red sniper is not fresh enough and not that tasty. Nothing special for Valentine's day’s celebration.
