Aqua Eight Ratings and Reviews
They were really accommodating to our group of 16 people!! I was really impresssd with how well they catered to such a big group and dinner ran so smoothly, we didn't even realise how long we had spent at the restaurant. I got the set menu, which I shared with 3 others and it was definitely good value for money - plus it was super tasty! I would definitely visit this restaurant again!
Had a fantastic evening only spoilt by a large party which included 3 unruly children. We were originally seated on the next table but excellent helpful staff quickly moved us to another table at the opposite end of the restaurant. Exceptional food, service and ambience. Would happily return and recommend. Prices very acceptable for the quality.
My partner and I came here yesterday the food was absolutely amazing , good choice on set menu the ice cream was handmade and extremely tasty , polite staff nice and quiet lovely decor and excellent value for money we've already said we're coming back again well worth the money
I booked Aqua8 as my partners parents were visiting from Watford and I wanted them to eat somewhere with a good variety of food that was full of flavour and service was on point so if they came to Ipswich again they knew there was at least one place they could go for a guaranteed good night with great food. Aqua8 never disappoints and the cocktails are very nice you'll want to try them all.
Food was very, very good – a mixture of traditional Chinese and other Asian cuisine. We went for the set menu £33.50 per head, along with the duck pancakes and katsu chicken with lemon and yuzu. Everything was cooked to a high standard, not too greasy or salty. The set menu was excellent value for money offering a wide variety of small plates, the soft shell crab was especially delicious. Compliments to the chef(s) and the friendly, attentive staff.
I have always been a great fan of Aqua Eight and brought along my partner for his first time, after my always returning visits. He was actually surprised how good the food and Aqua Eight generally was. And he is a fussy eater. Overall, 100% returning. Roll on the next visit!! :)
My husband and I ate here for the first time 2 years ago, and ever since I've struggled to find anywhere with such good Asian food.
It wasn't a special occasion as such, but decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal out and satisfy my cravings for good Chinese/Asian food(before our first child is due in a few weeks time).
The atmosphere is just lovely, the staff are attentive but not overbearing and well the food is just outstanding. It has lots on the menu you might be used to from other restaurants, but it's elevated to another level. We like to eat lots of different things, so went for a selection of small eats to share instead of the traditional starters and mains.
Dishes my husband would normally not enjoy, such as prawns on toast with sesame and seaweed, turned out to be his favourite on the night. The dishes are fresh, vibrant and really well flavoured.
I also had a delicious non-alcoholic apple mojito which was refreshing and also made me think I was having a proper cocktail.
I think you can always judge a meal/ restaurant by how much you talk about it afterwards (good or bad), and I've not stopped saying how much I enjoyed it yet!
