This was a delightful evening: great food, great service, great setting...
When we arrived this time we had the place to ourselves. Totally ate more than I should have but how can you not?! The food was amazing, the drinks amazing, our wait staff amazing, the view amazing.... we drive an hour on a whim just to come here for dinner. It's my happy place. Xo
Great service, view and dining. My date was beautiful as well.
Food was great, loved the decor/ambiance. Service could be better. Overall great experience. Prices were steep did not reflect the quality of food. Wife and myself had the burger and it was good but not worth $28. Other than than overall experience was great. Would come back and reccomend to anyone.
Thanksgiving and 50th Birthday. Our waiter, James, was amazing!!!
Lovely view, very good service and really good food. We'd go again for sure.
Poor communication as to what to expect and given we ordered the thankgiving set menu, everyone around us got served before we finally did an hour after we were the first in the dining room to be sat down. Thankgiving turkey dinner with no cranberry sauce or something not cooked in bacon was needed.
Aqua Terra was a wonderful location for our family's Thanksgiving dinner. All of the food was absolutely wonderful. The numerous safety measures were very visible and made us comfortable enough to enjoy lunch indoors during covid times.
It was also nice to see the new outdoor patio on the dock below that should be open for many weeks to come since each table has its own firepit built into the tables. Hope to get back and enjoy the outdoor patio.
First time there, and we asked on the reservation for a table with a great view and got a talbe with a partial view for one of us. We ordered the salads which were good and my wife ordered Thorpe Farms Chicken Ballotine which turned out to be lots of undercooked bacon, not much chicken and dressing in the middle of it, I ordered the 8oz Flat Iron steak and it was very tough and rubbery. Both meals lacked much flavor and when you spend that much money on a meal you want to be wowed. Overall we celebrated our anniversary and the night was fantastic even though the meal was lack luster.
Great food, better wine and excellent service. Made for a special evening!
A great dining experience, the service was quick and the food amazing, would highly recommend.
Beautiful venue, excellent waiter. Long waits between courses. Small portions, but well prepared and presented.
Experience is truly one of a kind. High end food and drinks with an amazing view of Lake Ontario. Anthony completed are experience with excellent service!
The menu is reduced, presumably because of Covid, but everything on it is excellent. They continue to take extraordinary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
We were celebrating a birthday. The food and service were great. The ambiance was a bot stark probably as a result of the pandemic. Our server, a second year nursing student at Laurentian U, was amazing. Her recommendations were excellent and made some changes to the menu to accommodate a lactose intolerance.
We sat outside on the patio along the water as we prefer not to sit inside during Covid. When I made the reservation, there was no indication when selecting seating option that there would be a different, more limited menu. At 6:30 pm, they were already out of the first appetizer we wanted to order. Service was very slow, food mediocre other than my son’s steak. Restaurant handled situation well and gave us 4 vouchers for breakfast the next morning - better food, but still poor, slow service and half the food arrived cold!
I have been coming for breakfast for the last few weeks and it’s always been wonderful service.
Very pleasant atmosphere facing the marina. Nice selection. I had the tenderloin which was cooked exactly as I had requested and was very flavourful, my wife had the scallops and she found them very salty. Our friends enjoyed their meals. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Our server, Marco was excellent. When we ordered a Chardonnay off your ends list, he immediately said not a problem. He substituted another Chard for the same price His ability to meet requests continued. Would rate as an excellent employee. Food also met expectations.
Considering the effects of Covid the restaurant did their best to maintain the ambience of fine dining. Our server Andrew was very attentive and the food was delicious. It was enjoyable to go out to eat and have a wonderful view of the marina.
Service was great, setting was nice. I ordered the chowder and that was disappointing. It was very thin and more of a fish soup so not worth the price. The flat iron steak was nice as were the fingerling potatoes. I would go back but definitely do not recommend the chowder.
A wonderful dinner. We enjoyed oysters, an amazing beet salad, scallops, chorizo, flat iron steak and shrimp. Amazing wine too! Staff were very attentive and helpful.
We were celebrated our 21st Wedding Anniversary and looking forward to a nice dinner. On arrival they messed up our reservation and put us on the patio. It was 12 degrees outside! We requested in restaurant seating. They stuck us in the lounge just off the main lobby. Not the celebration we were looking for. Our server was pleasant and the food was delicious but pricey We were told that our dessert was on the house because we were celebrating but it reallywasn't as it was included in the price of my husbands meal package.
Server was exceptionally good. Very personable. Very good short rib and creme brulee.
Really enjoyed my lunch at Agua Terra. The outdoor patio was lovely. Gorgeous view, on the waterfront. Great service. The only shocker was the price tax for a glass of wine, but it was very good.
A good dining experience. We went early before the dining room was open, so had to sit on the patio, which was fine. It was a little cool and we could have had the heater turned on but opted not to. Very good service. Thanks
The food was very original and taste was exceptional. I had beet sliders, with a house green salad, my mom had the mezza plate which she loved all the different flavors, and my sister had the Moroccan cauliflour with couscous which she thought was so different and excellent taste.
Great place to eat - very good food, terrific waiter and would be an outstanding view on a nice weather day - rainy and windy for us. We will be back.
Lovely meal with a lovely view! Just miss the lengthy pre-Covid menu, which was amazing. Still had a great meal with good service!
Nice food. Wine list doesn’t match the quality of the food
The service was amazing, super friendly. Food was great and with an amazing view. Great experience would definitely go again!
Everything was excellent. Service was fantastic. The entrees were the best part. Ordered pan seared steak, would not order next time as was seared to almost a burnt point. Only complaint but would return just order different steak.
Chose to dine outside on patio. Worried that it would be bit chilly but patio had heat lamps which helped. Great ambience outside by waterfront. Service was great. Food was good. Great experience overall.
Very nice place
Our experience was excellent because of the great service, Alley our waitress was fantastic. Alley advised us about the menu and about what were her favourites and we made our selection on Alley’s advice.
Our server was amazing and made up for other areas that were lacking.
The propane heater didn’t work near us and it got chilly as the evening wore on.
The tuna was great but served on Cold edamame and peas was not to our Taste or expectation. The burgers and chips were just fine.
We had anticipated a meal such as ones we have had in the past and this did not measure up.
The patio must be a more challenging area to serve and we appreciate that however it was not worth what we paid to return again for dinner.
The chicken tacos lacked flavour and the chicken appeared to be small bits pulled off the bones. Not an inspiring meal.
Staff not particularly enthusiastic or welcoming but that could easily be attributable to the discomfort of wearing a mask all day, and the stress of C19.
Enjoyed lunch on the patio....little windy. Tuna was great and chicken tacos also good
We arrived within the expected time for our reservation and were seated by the host. We then sat for 15 minutes and watched newcomers be seated and their coffee orders taken. We let the hostess know we hadn't had anyone take an order and were told someone would see us shortly. Nope. When our order was finally taken, the people seated after us were eating. Another 40 minutes later and no food. Wasn't a difficult order, there are a few simple options on the menu and we didn't ask for anything special to be done. When we asked about the delay we were told it was unexpectedly busy. But actually, there weren't a lot of people there and it didn't explain why now a 2nd table was eating, who had been seated after us. In total we waited an hour to place our order and begin our meals. We ordered the tofu scramble which is pretty hard to mess up. A generous plate including toast, fruit and grilled potatoes. The fruit on the side was fresh, but the tofu was seasoned heavily, very heavily with rosemary. No salt or pepper, but a whole lot of rosemary. Still, we felt happy to have found a place that serves a tofu scramble for the vegan in our group. The serving staff and subsequently the manager were apologetic about the delays, but c'mon, admit when an order is lost. As well, looking out the window, I counted 26 large spiders in heavy webbing. I had a lot of time to kill, so I counted the spiders outside the dirty window. The restaurant was otherwise clean and they were maintaining Covid protocols well. The manager cut our bill in half, but still... long wait for an overseasoned meal. We won't be back.
Food was better than expected from a hotel chain. Limited menu but that is a COVID issue. Service was great and the quality of the food above expectations
