Opened in 2015, Arca quickly became established as a relevant and pivotal component to the rising gastronomical scene in Tulum.
Our culinary and beverage programs pay homage to the region, utilizing the best products from local beaches and farms. Our menus are constantly changing according to the seasons and availability of produce
Mosquitos and no confortable to be with mosquitos food good and service very nice
Amazing dinner and worth the splurge! We ordered two apps and one entree and had more than enough to eat.
The sweet potato empanadas with shrimp were incredible. We both closed our eyes to let the flavors meld in our mouths. The margaritas were unique and delish! Can’t wait to come back in future trips.
Everything here was absolutely fantastic. Wish I could have came back one more time.
Amazing service, lovely cocktails and outstanding food.
Thank you! Hope to see you guys very soon!
This is hands-down one of the best restaurants I've eaten at. The food is absolutely exceptional, the staff is engaged and friendly. They also seem to really care about the food they're offering you. The cocktails were phenomenal and the music was amazing (my girlfriend and I were constantly shazaming). Couldn't recommend more highly for a date night.
Simply put, this was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Service was wonderful. The vegetables were treated with respect, the proteins were cooked perfectly, and the cocktail was awesome!
We had our very best meal in Tulum at Arca. After a bit of confusion over table availability (impending rain, etc,), our service was friendly and very well-informed. Our server spent plenty of time with us, and helped us choose a wonderful, complementary selection of dishes. The best: the sea urchin ceviche, served in a half mandarin. It was the most delicious and imaginative dish I’ve had in years. Overall, a great experience. Oh, and while we enjoyed Hartwood, we had a more transporting experience at Arca...
Is it pricey yes is it unique yes is it worth it -totally Had the green bean starter -I find if a place does a simple well you're in good hands & it was divine. Coconut confit fish was delicious. The avocado mousse cake was the best dessert I've tasted-ever! Cocktail are as good as the food. Service was on point & friendly right from the front desk to the fab Khalil & all the other staff with whom I interacted. Don't be afraid to asked for menu recommendations when ordering - I'm sure this added to my experience.
This is a MUST if you're visiting Tulum. The place is beautiful and food was perfectly cooked and very nicely presented. I was surprised though, by not being warned for the spiciness of a dish. I am used to eating hot & spicy dishes, but my girlfriend is quite sensitive in this manner. So if you too are sensitive to spicy food, be sure to ask your waiter!
Service was great. You can tell the whole personnel is well aware of what they're serving and are very attentive to making sure you have everything you need to enhance your experience. Every dish is explained as it's brought to the table and they make sure to have your opinion once you're done.
I would recommend to arrive during the first servings. We got there with a 10:15pm reservation (last serving of the night) and we were rushed to order and they had already ran out of some of the dishes in the menu. After dessert (which was an incredible avocado pastry) we were moved to the back bar since the restaurant was closing. So, definitively arrive early, but don't miss on this incredible experience. We visited some of the top restaurants in Tulum and Arca was by far our favorite.
Toman el dólar 3 pesos menos que lo que está actualmente y cobran cosas de más . La comida es pretenciosa . No regreso.
Incredible from start to finish. One of the top 5 meals of my life.
We came here 2 years ago for my birthday and had the most incredible experience. We were so excited to come back! However we were fairly disappointed with the service. Our original time was pushed back an hour due to “construction” as they had a private event - which was fine. However when we got there they sat us at the bar for an additional half an hour and it was only until we went and asked to be seated did they seat us. So we weren’t seated until 1.5hours after our original booking. Then it took an additional 15 mins for the menu to even come. The food is still outstanding but our overall experience was extremely average.
The food here was great but we were very disappointed in the service for 2 reasons:
1/ I asked for sparkling water and my companion asked for still. The server tried to talk us out of it, saying they were "big bottles" and we should share. I don't ever appreciate being told to change my choice, and even less so when I'm paying for the privilege of these "large" (22oz) water bottles at 2.50 a pop.
2/ The wifi was down and they had a hard time processing my card. We waited nearly an hour for the machine to work and weren't even offered an apology or anything. I somewhat jokingly asked the manager for shots and he just shrugged his shoulders. Considering the wait and inconvenience I thought there was something the management could have done, like offer us a drink while we waited or at least comp the water they tried to convince us not to order.
Would I go back? Yes, but I would call ahead to make sure they can accept cards and I would sit at the bar to avoid interacting with the servers.
Our dining experience included the following: Sourdough bread and butter appetizer and the tomato salad appetizer (very delicious). The salt that accompanies the sourdough and butter was definitely a nice touch. Suckling pig and octopus for large plates. The octopus came with a purée of lentils and crunchy lentils. The suckling pig came with a cucumber (made into a “pasta”) and mint sauce (to me this was a great palate cleanser for the rich flavors). We recommend the Har Mar Superstar as the cocktail (although I’m sure they are all delicious). Overall, we were very pleased with this dining experience. I would recommend to apply bug spray on your feet and legs prior to dining. Thank you Arca for making our vacation to Tulum extra “foodie” special!
We came here for dinner on vacation. Food was excellent just thought it was so weird that we were basically the only people there. It was probably the timing though. Maybe 6:30pm was too early? Ha if you do make your way to ARCA the soft shell crab tacos are a MUST. My mouth is still craving those tacos
ARCA, like most of the upscale restaurants in Tulum, is a very thoughtfully designed outdoor restaurant & bar. It looks special and like somewhere you would want to spend an evening with friends or family/a loved one. Nestled under natural coconut trees and "party" lights (what we call all outdoor hanging lights), it is charming to say the least. It is a very beautiful place.
The welcome/hostess staff was laughing/smiling and friendly, the waitress was beautiful, polite, knowledgeable and professional while answering all questions and getting everything delivered accurately and timely. The dishes were excellent - the local fish of the day with some sort of shaved coconut salad that paired perfectly together and the Lobster dish - preceded by a bone marrow app that was presented nicely but is an acquired taste - we love trying new things and this checked that box.
It poured down rain during our main course which sent everyone scrambling to the limited covered seating, but the staff handled it like seasoned veterans and made accommodations for all patrons. The chef came out of the outdoor kitchen to greet the patrons during the rain storm and was awesome.
Note that it is cash only, but since most of the ATMs had been confiscated/shut down by the local govt, they allowed credit cards the night we were there. With a cocktail, app, main course and a glass of wine for 2, it ran around $130 usd including tax and tip.
Nice place, nice staff - would return.
Bomb diggity food
