Wonderful experience. Friendly attentive staff. Good good. Good cocktails.
Great feeling of inlcusion and a great addition to the LGBTQ+ community. Great drinks and great food with really wholesome, friendly and personal service with a team that know how to have fun whilst delivering a great F&B product. Well done to you all at re-creating the clapham bar scene.
Really great service. Our waitress was so funny. The ambience was perfect for a Friday afternoon!! Would visit again
Cocktails were amazing & food tasty! Outdoor heaters would be a bonus but not too much a problem if you bring layers!! Cannot wait to return!!
Lots of potential, but some things really need addressing. Waiting 35 minutes for 4 drinks when there are so many servers isn’t ideal especially when you only are give a 2 hour booking. Then waiting 20 minutes for an order of 4 pints to arrive is ridiculous. Either put extra staff behind the bar, or train servers to pull a pint or fetch abottle of wine.
Could easily have spent a lot more money here if service had been speedier.
The staff were however incredibly friendly and professional, but I think a back to basics approach to service would be better. High tech ordering certainly doesn’t seem to be benefitting this business.
Will return to see if things improve as I really hope it does well, but service absolutely needs to be at the forefront.
Friendly and cheerful staff who greeted us with welcoming arms. Thank you for the complimentary bubbles for my friends birthday - it was a lovely and unexpected touch! It took a couple of minutes to get seated as our table wasn’t ready but that wasn’t too much trouble as it was a fairly busy evening. Only a few gripes on the overall night; the biggest one being there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness once we were shown to our table, appreciate we were sat at the end table right at the very back, but it took a little while until we were acknowledged to place a drinks order. We felt a little ‘forgotten’ throughout the evening and had to catch eye contact several times to have someone come over. Secondly, our drinks and food were at least 35-40 minutes apart and after requesting some condiments to accompany our meal (that never came) we were told, “so sorry, I completely forgot it’s just been so busy.” To which my friend had recognised the table in front was handed pots of sauces to enjoy with their meal. Our meal also didn’t come with any cutlery, we ordered burgers and fries but the option would have been welcomed! Overall, delicious burgers and bubbles however a couple of adjustments would have made our evening meal that much more enjoyable.
Very good service, nice food - but our table for 6 was just about OK for 4 - too little space ; (
Lovey staff great service great food !! I will be back ! Who am I kidding I’ve already got 4 more bookings
Fun place with great Staff and fabulous food. I had the chicken burger that was delicious. would defiantly go again and recommend to others .
Great atmosphere. Food was delicious, good range of cocktails etc
Service very friendly.
Arch is a wonderful addition to the LGBT scene in London. Not only is it a great stop off point in vibrant Clapham, but it also caters to those wanting to work away from the office or home with free WiFi and secluded booths, as well as a morning drop point on your way to or from the gym with smoothies to suit. It's stylish and fun without being pretentious, and the glitterball bar looks terrific. Go, have a cocktail, try the sumptuous menu and feel at home from home.
Cocktails were insanely good.
Bar staff were super helpful and polite and generally fun!
2nd visit, just as fun, amazing service, great cocktails, great vibe and experienced the full range of the menu, sharers and burgers. All great.
Excellent food and a great job on the decor. Will definitely be back when we're allowed
Sunday afternoon roast very very basic. Over cooked vegetables.
No flavour or seasoning. Roast potatoes tasteless. Food poor.
Atmosphere was very clubby with loud pumping house music at 3pm. Very small central tables for 2 people. Arch interiors designed well and good layout.
Team were great. Very friendly. Service was good but very very quick like a fast food cafe.
Overall experience was ok. It’s mainly a good fun bar... that’s does some ok food.
My second visit, Arch is an outstanding new venue for London, exactly what we needed for the LGBT+ community, great food, perfect drinks, lovely staff & awesome music too, all in the great setting that is that arch. Proud to have Arch in our city!
Visited the highly anticipated Arch for drinks & a Sunday roast. Food was out of this world & service fantastic - highly recommended!!!!
It’s a good addition to the LGBT scene. Good for those missing the club vibe.
great to see a new place open up, looks like drinks and light food before a night out. The gay sass in the menu is great. Only issue is went for brunch and felt like a night out. Music was painfully load, lights were OTT for that time.
Bearing in mind this bar only opened about a week ago and so is bound to be popular... We had to wait about 20 mins to be seated and about 40 mins (and asking 3 different waiters) for our first drink. The food was decent and a generous size. The music was quite loud - almost like they were trying to encapsulate a club vibe in a bar. I wasn’t keen on the decor but that’s purely personal taste. There was hand sanitiser available at tables and there were partitions set up between certain tables. The crowd seemed friendly and in high spirits. I can see it being a fun place for drinks post coronavirus restrictions when you don’t feel so confined to your seat, but I would say turn the music volume down a tad, as with it being a relatively small space, it doesn’t need to be quite as loud.
This place has only recently opened so I thought I would check it out be advise you will need to book as I was amazed how busy it was on its first week with its retro modern style look and upbeat club style music you feel at ease and ready for some good food and good company with friends the staff customer customer service was exceptional they couldn’t not help you enough
There are polite courtesy and friendly and made you feel part of the team the food was outstanding extremely well cooked and mouthwatering the menu was diverse and shows array of vegetarian and vegan friendly options this is really an outstanding place to go I’m now reconsidering my gym membership as I’m going to be coming here more often as they also are the sharing platters for large groups so it’s ideal for social hang out with friends I wish everybody in the arch team the very best for the future and hope
It survives the pandemic that we are going through I look forward to returning very soon
Great food and atmosphere, would return again / recommend
It was a phenomenal experience! I will be going again, and again, and again! Great service, vibe and food! 10/10 :)
Music is way too loud for conversation.
Fairly impressed - service was ok but the waiting staff were more interested in enjoying themselves than serving - chatting etc I had to ask to order a drink.
Food was tasty but a bit pricey for the portions - chips didn’t come and had to ask 10 minutes after the main food served.
I was asked to put my mask on to enter which was good but 2 other diners had no masks when they came in ( and when they went to try toilet ) and I’m not sure why they were allowed in given the door staff were insistent on our arrival ?
The Place looks great and outside will be a popular place in the summer :)
As an LGBT venue it will do well but they need to make sure they don’t forget about their customers, make sure the staff have a good time but remember why they are there ..
Great service from Leo Matt and the gang - was the first time there so it was very nice to see it - they had excellent social distancing measures - and the staff really did pull out the stops to make sure we had a great evening
shame that they have to close again - especially as they had secure booths and table service
great service, good fun, great drinks, fun bar.....
Delicious food, with amazing service!
This is a really welcome addition to Clapham. Everything was fresh and funky; some real thought has gone into the decor.
The menu is well-thought-out and caters for everything from a light-bite to a post-gym protein shake. I had the steak baguette and it came quickly, and was eaten equally quickly.
Where it really wins is the service. Every team member was thoughtful and attentive.
I went there twice. First visit was really good. Second visit I ordered platter for 2 like first time and instead of getting two same portions we received only one bigger burger and fries for £12. I asked waiter how 2 ppl can eat one burger, he explained that because of previous confusion they changed it and now serving meal for one person (menu says that it is for 2 and no one told us about changes). We were even more confused by it. Burger was average, definitely not worth £12. Drinks pricey, more expensive than average in the area.
Really good place, about time we had another LGBTQ bar in Clapham / London....staff are so friendly ...from entrance to leaving...keep up the excellent work..will be back next two weekends can’t wait
This venue is new and it is learning its way but it was a wonderful evening out. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff are fun and friendly and very attentive. Such a lovely vibe and energy to this place. Definitely visiting again.
We had SO much fun here last night for their movie night, such a stunning venue, all the staff are super friendly and attentive and the place is filled with love 💕 Huge shout out to our waiter John who was just an absolute delight! x
We booked a table for dinner- and confirmed it as requested via Open Table
We travelled to Clapham from Victoria for the booking
We arrived to be told they had no food remaining - after we were seated and served drinks
No attempt to contact us to say don't come - yet so many establishments are keen to criticise no show customers
Amazing atmosphere, was there with a few friends the other night and we had the best time! Staff super friendly, good music and nice cocktails and food.
Great atmosphere, nice food.
Perfect place to catchup with friends.
Cute new restaurant/bar. Staff are friendly and helpful. Things were slightly chaotic, but I assume that’ll improve with time as we went in its first week open. Will certainly return.
A very welcome addition to Clapham. Few teething problems as they’re new regarding service (cauli cheese came 15 mins before the mains). Hoping they can sort minor things out and we’ll be back!
I am sure you have had a lot of the same comments. I think that what you have is an amazing idea. I must comment on the food which was not worth the money. I would suggest not doing a Sunday roast, very expensive and bad quality. How could we not order a starter?!?! That was bizarre. I would concentrate on the rest of the menu only for such a short time to be seated. It looked and tasted like a beef steak just cut up and the rest just thrown together. We were still hungry after and shared a pizza when we left. A roast should be the best and filling. Anyways great atmosphere and love the new place. Will defo be back!
I would try to extend the seating time slightly as well.
For their first weekend everything was spot on! No waiting, punctual friendly service and amazing Sunday lunch.
After such a long year of nothingness to be greeted by such a wonderful atmosphere with their tunes, decor and smiles it was such an epic day
Best Bar in Clapham
The service was very slow. Lots of staff but not a lot happening. Other tables had their order taken and food delivered way before us. We waited at least 10 minutes before someone came to our table and a further 40+ minutes until we got our food. The food was tasty but took a very long time to arrive. And we received the side of cauliflower cheese so long before the roast dinners that it got cold. We asked for it to be warmed. It wasn’t really. And the mains were just warm not hot. It’s a new place and we will give it the benefit of thinking they were teething problems but they do need to improve their service.
