Lovely place first time going and we will be back
Food was great. The fish melts in the mouth. Friend's venison was lovely. The service was excellent, so friendly and helpful.
As always, great food and service at the Ardnamuchan. Highly recommended.
Recommended! Friendly staff and good food.
Several dished were unexpectedly bland. I was expecting much more.
Great food. Great service. Lovely ambience. Highly recommended.
Lovely food and atmosphere will be back again. Service also very quick and good.
Very friendly staff and amazing food. Would highly recommend.
Had family visiting from England and wanted somewhere with a genuine Scottish feel. We chose this place because we lived close to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula for many years.
Turned up half an hour early, but we were greeted and shown straight to our table by a charming young waitress, so that got things off to a good start.
Excellent selection of Scottish food sourced both locally and from places such as the Isle of Mull. We all had Scallops for the starter, these were outstanding, cooked to perfection with a delicate curry puree that really brought out the taste. For main courses we had a mixture of the Langoustines and Panfried Cod Fillet, once again perfectly cooked and presented.
The wine list is good with a range of prices to suit all pockets, we had a bottle of the Picpoul du Pinet that went very well with our food choices.
We could not resist the Chocolate Espresso dessert, very unique and lingering chocolatey flavour, along with the Cranachan served in its own little pot.
Coffee afterwards was some of the best we have had in any restaurant.
Service was attentive but not intrusive and the background music pleasant but not too loud.
Both we and our guests were very impressed with the whole experience. Strongly recommend this restaurant and it is ideally placed for the Theatre Royal if it ever opens again!
Excellent late lunch with friends, food and service were excellent. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet lunch with excellent food. We will be back soon
Our first Glasgow restaurant visit in 18 months. Felt very safe and comfortable. Food lovely as usual.
Had lunch using a voucher given to us at Christmas 2019. We were unable to use it due to COVID lockdowns but they extended the expiry date. Delicious food and wine with excellent service.
Lovely ambience, efficient friendly staff, great choice and good value for money.
Very Covid safe and clean.
Will definitely be booking again.
On holiday and looking for Scottish food and wasn’t disappointed. Great taste and large portions so the food was great. The staff worked really hard, you could see the effort but nothing was too much and we had a great time.
Food was delicious, especially the seafood and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended
This was a quick visit to Glasgow to pick up a car and we booked the restaurant online which sounded and looked really good and was available for date/time.
We were not disappointed, v friendly reception at the door and comfortable seating . Plenty of attention and explanation where needed regarding food and wine. Great recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. My chicken was v tasty. However my husband thought the fish stew needed a bit more taste and the bread should have been served separately. But having said this it was a great evening good atmosphere and we will and already have recommended to others to come back.
Fab restaurant, lovely staff, great service and fabulous food.
Excellent from moment we walked in door until we left. Food was fantastic. Can't recommend it enough.
The service and the food was excellent will definitely be back
Lovely meal. And great service. Gave us free bubbly for anniversary 🥳
Absolutely superb. When we sat down at our table the waiter presented us with 2 glasses of Prosecco and wished us a happy anniversary which took us by surprise. I thought how did they know that and then I remembered when online and booking there was a box which asked for specific reasons for the booking and I stated that it was to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Everything about it was sublime. Service, ambience and quality of food ... top notch.
Good food, large portions (too large for we three older women to finish) and attentive service. Quite busy even at 4.15 on a Saturday but the large high room and screens between tables made it feel very secure.
Very enjoyable dinner in a lovely atmosphere with great variety of choice
We enjoyed our meal and approved of thr low elevel of background noise so that we could fully enjoy our conversation - we had not met for overr a year.
For only £20 per personrthe meal wss great value.
We will definitely be back.
This place is an absolute gem! It represents the epitome of Glasgow hospitality. In terms of the quality of great food & service in really cordial surroundings, it’s hard to imagine much better. Loved it & will be back!
Food was fantastic waited about 25 mins for our food but to be fair restaurant was busy and it was worth the wait
The selection is excellent of food is top notch and always wonderful regardless of what is ordered
never fails in food or service. Always a pleasure to eat out here.
The arrangements put in place re Covid restrictions are second to none.
Lovely food - great atmosphere- wonderful service - will definitely be back.
The food is exceptional, and the service will keep you coming back! It was an amazing experience
Another amazing meal in this fantastic restaurant! This trip was for our daughter’s Graduation and she was promptly given a free glass of Prosecco on arrival which was much appreciated. Food was outstanding - we haven’t been in for a long while due to Covid etc but they have not lost their magic touch when it comes to detail using quality Scottish foods! We will be back!!!
Food excellent as always. Market menu is great value and there are no disappointments in the choices available whether sirloin steak or fish stew. Always feels virus safe.
We absolutely loved this place. Would not hesitate to go back. Brilliant food, wine (loved the Prosecco!), service, surroundings….the whole package. Loved it. Thanks for making a birthday a great one!
The food and ambiance were great but unfortunately let down by the speed of service - especially considering that the restaurant was not busy. We had hoped to have desert but we ran out of time.
Excellent food and experience, definitely will eat here in the near future.
Arrived early for table. Taken to seat. Table was for 2 hours. We were asked to vacate table early as we’d arrived early, no problem but manner of staff was appalling. Brusque to the point of being rude. It had been their choice to seat us at table for drink first rather than bar area.
Food from market menu average, chicken overdone.
Guy that served us pleasant enough, 2 women who spoke to us need training on how to deal with customers.
While eating out with new 2 hour rules challenging it shouldn’t be unpleasant.
It was like eating in a fast food outlet.
Nice food, lovely friendly staff. We will be back.
My son and I went here to celebrate his birthday and we were very impressed food was piping hot definitely recommend the curried cauliflower soup served with sourdough bread my son enjoyed black pudding fritters served with a whisky sauce we both had Chicken in a honey mustard sauce served with beautiful mashed potatoes and greens all delicious my son followed this with sticky toffee pudding which he said was the best he had tasted . We both had a excellent experience here and would definitely recommend Ardnumuchan bar & restaurant . Will definitely be back soon hopefully
Everything was absolutely perfect, from the welcome, seating us and making us feel at home, service that was exceptional, the quality of the produce and the execution of the cooking, which was superb - chefs that obviously take a pride in the craft.
A must go to place when in Glasgow.
