AriBella services Shelton residents with Italian cuisine within a warm, friendly environment. The establishment gets its name from the owner’s youngest daughter just as some the dishes served are also named after friends or loved ones the owner knows. AriBella pays homage to traditional Italian trattorias with authentic Italian fare and a style that is representative of a Trattoria.
Sautéed clams, scungilli salad, scalloppine Emiliane, pollo parmigiano, gnocchi di mamma Francesca and capellini puttanesca are just some of the food items available. Make sure to check out the happy hour menu at AriBella for a list of wines, martinis, cocktails and domestic or imported bottled beers.
As always Aribella’s was exceptional.
We love it here! Stacy, the bar manager, is the best! Food is always amazing, and drinks and wine selection are the best!!! Thanks so much!
I went to Aribella for ct restaurant week for the fixed menu which they had online. When we got there it was a much smaller printed menu giving you a bait and switch. When I asked the waiter he said I was told we are out of these items. After we ordered I got up and walked around the restaurant. I saw a persons who ordered after up with egg plant rollatini and meat balls which was on the online menu and they claimed to run out of. Complete misrepresentation. Whats sad is I had brought 2 other couples who were excited to try the restaurant and enjoyed what they ate. However do to the bait and switch we will not be returning.
I have used OpenTable various times and this was the first where I felt that the restaurant made an effort to read the client requests. I had asked the restaurant ahead of time in the online request to provide a Spanish menu for my companion. Our waitress, Fabiola(?) came to the table to greet us in Spanish and proceeded to explain the Valentine’s Day specials available to us. She explained that Spanish is not her first language but she was willing to try as best as she could. The food was great and the atmosphere was charming to a certain degree. But the most memorable was the attentiveness of this waitress. It was one of the most impressive displays of service I’ve received in a long while and I want to thank her personally for making it such a great evening for my partner and I.
Valentine’s Day. Delicious.
Had a reservation for 630 and waited 35 minutes at our table to see a waiter. Only saw a waiter because we had to complain to a manager. Patrons sat next to our table, after us, and got service immediately. Manager said she forgot to assign us a waiter. Received our food and drinks. Waiter would not check on us, I had to flag him down just to get another drink. Horrible service, worst experience ever and would not recommend anyone to go there. Honestly felt like my wife and I were being discriminated against because of our Latin descent.
Amazing food, great staff, the atmosphere was amazing, service was perfect, scallops were to die for..
We have been to AriBella’s before and the food has always been excellent. Our only complaint was the noise level in the past was a little high but this time is was fine. Maybe because of where we sat or the fact the they were not as busy as other times. The service was also excellent. The price was typical of a very good restaurant and a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
The meals were excellent. We were a party of 4 (chicken, beef, fish and a salad) and everyone was very happy with the meals and the desserts (gelato, tiramisu and chocolate cake). The server was polite and friendly. I do wish he hadn't had to ask who had ordered which meal when serving, but that seems to be more and more common, even in upper establishments. Was a little loud (4 birthday celebrations that night) But would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyable meal.
Nice quiet birthday celebration. Excellent food and service
A little difficult to find and parking is tricky but overall, nice dinner out
Excellent dining experience start to finish raising the bar in Shelton Ct. wonderful handmade pasta, wine list and a very friendly knowledgeable staff. We come to Connecticut several times a year to visit family and always look forward to a gathering at Aribella. Intimate, friendly and truly delicious food.
We love this place. Food is always spectacular, and they have great specials including drinks. Our faves are the Joel Gott Cab, oso bucco, carrot cake and salted caramel gelato
Amazing as always
Great evening ty!
High prices ,small portions.
Meatball appetizers ,although tasty was 3 small cost 10.00
Table for 2 was very small so our server had to keep moving our plates around to fit our dinner on the table.
Bread was cold.
I went on a quiet Tuesday evening for my birthday. The hostess and waitress was very kind. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas, and had Christmas music playing in the background! The food was absolutely amazing, I got the arugula and goat cheese salad, there was nothing left on my plate! I also got the linguine with clams in a white wine sauce! I highly recommend!
Birthday for my wife. We had a great meal and were never rushed.
Cozy and comfortable restaurant - hidden gem with amazing food and drinks!
Wonderful evening. Food was delish and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Will definitely be back.
Service was quick and professional. Food arrived at a good pace and apps came with plenty of time in between main course. Food was delicious.
First time patron. Fully enjoyed the meal, service and atmosphere.
Great food and atmosphere. Stacy the bartender makes fabulous cocktails
Great food, great service.
We loved our meal and most certainly will return. One thing to warn you though...this is NOT the place if you are looking for a quick in and out. All of their food is made fresh to order, and on a Saturday night, at 7:00 PM, it took nearly 90 mins to get our salads/appetizers! In the long run it was well worth the wait and next time I'll remember to not let myself get so hungry before going. Our server was very good and I don't blame her...I can only assume it was the kitchen. Thinking it might have been an off night, I mentioned it to a colleague who has also been there and she said the same thing. Not really a criticism, just take note!
Nice ambiance. Quiet and relaxing dinner. Noise level was excellent compared to so many restaurants that are loud
Food very good, though portions a bit small for price
Great food. Great service. Would recommend to friends
Used to absolutely love the pizza...was so crispy, last 3 times it was like soggy frozen pizza...I asked very politely what they had changed...”nothing” was the response I received.
Deserts are fantastic, other dishes are usually great. Had an issue once with the salmon...took the entire meal to cook it...we had all finished when it finally arrived...it was raw.
Fantastik dinner ,food was excellent, perfect service
Everything was fine, it just wasn’t overwhelmingly great. Not sure that it would be our first choice for our next night out.
Service was good. Food was delicious. My only recommendation is that the bread should be served warm. But I still give the restaurant 5 stars because every thing else is worth it. :)
It was wonderful everything. We will be back again. Perfect evening.
Food was good, but all the dishes we ordered were excessively salty. Pricey for quality served. Better quality, same prices at IL Palio.
We really enjoyed our food and had very good service! It was very noisey....so you had to speak up to be heard. Though the ambiance was lovely.
Such friendly knowledgeable staff and definitely recommend this restaurant.
One of our favorite spots...Stacy in the bar is a good friend of our grown children. She’s the best, followed by the great food and staff! Always a great time!
Had a wonderful meal, especially loved the banana cheesecake dessert. Waiter was friendly and helpful with suggestions, would definitely go again.
We had dinner on the terrace / patio on a beautiful Saturday evening. The food was excellent and the service was first rate. The cocktails were very reasonably priced. Kudos to all!
Wonderful experience. Food was excellent and server (who was owner's daughter) was personable and friendly. The only issue--was finding the place--for a newcomer to the area it was hidden in the back, so we called and they were very helpful directing us.
