Perhaps our fault in ordering vegetarian brunch, but ended up topping up with a sandwich at Pret straight after we left the restaurant.

A disappointing experience. We'd seen mention of Arlo's "meat free Monday" offer in a review, and that's what drew us in. We were surprised to find no mention of this on the menu, and the discount was only given on enquiry to the manager, which is awkward in a group setting. If you're going to have an offer, be transparent about it!
The food was mediocre. One of us ordered their bavette steak ultra-rare or blue and was presented with the most cooked of the three, so we had to swap. The meat quality was fine, but nothing special - no fancy dry aging or anything here. Sides were fine but unremarkable; portions are mean.
Flat Iron sets the bar for this kind of thing. By our experience, Arlo's is a very poor relation.

That said the team should mention this to all guests so I will follow up on this immediately. I'm also sorry you found the bavette to be bland though, if it helps, it is indeed 21 day dry aged. What a lovely restaurant, such a nice vibe. Everyone was so friendly and accomodating to us with our baby and buggy. The food was very good, perfectly cooked rib-eye, served on sour dough which soaked up all the meat juices and the mac and cheese was yummy scrummy. Definitely one to re-visit with the rest of our brood.

Generally good although steaks were very inconsistent, our group ordered 3 of the same steaks medium rare and they varied in size by 50%, clearly not based on the weight they suggest.

We constantly test weigh and are always within less than 5% variance. I've been here a few times now and it's hit and miss.. I've had a burger here which was good and their haloumi is amazing.The last time though I had a rib eye steak and it was very expensive considering I've had much better and cheaper in the area. I really didn't enjoy it and was actually ill the next day so I'm not sure I will come back again.

We were 4. Warm Thursday night booked ahead. Rather small restaurant but great food and really attentive service - not pushy but always there when needed. Placed inside but asked for outside and moved when free. Steak excellent, shashouki slightly less so. Dessert menu limited- weakest point.

Enjoyed a very pleasant evening meal as a family group of 7. We had an area pretty much to ourselves and were well looked after by the staff. The food was excellent, very good steaks and really enjoyed the halloumi and peppers starter. Along with the modern and clean surroundings it all contributed to a great evening out.

We were overall extremely disappointed with our meal on Monday 13th of May.
We had been recommended Arlo's by a friend so were excited to try out the steaks. Our entrees were actually quite nice (garlic bread and fried halloumi) but from there everything went down hill.
- We both ordered the bavette steaks which came out far too rare and almost inedible due to the toughness of the meat.
- The house wine tasted off and had a lot of sediment at the bottom.
- The service was very slow despite us being only 1 of 3 parties in the whole restaurant.
- The food and wine were massively overpriced.
Thank you for your feedback Joe. I am sorry to hear about the wine, wine can occasionally be corked and we'd immediately have changed the bottle. In terms of service you arrived at 7.45 with your starter at 8.10 and mains at 8.25 so I'm sorry that this felt too slow. I'm so disappointed that your steaks were chewy as this happens so rarely, though wish you'd told us before finishing them so we could make it perfect! My fiancé and I eat at Arlo's often but especially when we have friends staying with us, as we know we can rely on Arlo's to impress. As on every visit, tonight the food was superb (we loved the quite significantly expanded menu with much greater choice at every course), cocktails excellent - especially the Martinis, which are better here than in most cocktail bars - and service attentive, kind and warm.
Seeing a recent 1-star review on this site, I genuinely can't help but wonder if it is wholly accurate; I have eaten here so many times and always had such a consistently excellent experience that I genuinely can't imagine the team at Arlo's ever not taking customers' feedback to heart and acting on it appropriately. Whatever - we had, yet again, a wonderful time and will be back soon and often.

Never given a bad review before but this had to be done. We had friends visiting and had chosen Arlo’s due to close proximity to another place we were going after. After ordering burgers (with sides and extras) and specifying how we want it cooked (med/rare for most) we were then served burgers which were black and cold, with the wrong sides. We were told that the waiter was new and didn’t know that all burgers were cooked the same way. This would be fine generally but it was black charcoaled and cold. The apology was nothing but inadequate and 2 sides of chips removed from bill was not enough. Had we not be in a rush, I would have not eaten it in a hurry and refused to pay. The service charge was also left on the bill (just to add insult to injury) which we did not pay. Disappointing to say the least and the worst meal/service received in london in a long time.

Fabulous brunch here on Mother's Day. They gave the ladies at the table a complimentary glass of bubbly, which was such a nice touch! Servers were all lovely and super flexible. They were happy to add or remove items on dishes or even order dishes as required (e.g. adding haloumi or a poached egg to a dish that did not feature them or ordering eggs any style with any trimmings without it being on the menu). Service mostly prompt as well.
They could have kept the coffee orders coming thicker and faster - coffee makes the morning sweeter! My second order of coffee never arrived at the table, but arrived on the bill - although was quickly removed when pointed out!

Lovely food, very nice and attentive staff. We've been a few times now and it's always an enjoyable experience.
Was a shame because I'd been there twice before and it was great but this time all 3 of us had a really tough poor quality steak. Mine was not cooked medium - was well done :( and the service was quite inattentive, polite but we had to ask for the desert menu after waiting ages and saw others attended to much better. It wasn't that busy either so not sure what was going on... If it had been as nice as the last 2 times I'd definitely have gone back

Arlos is excellent, offering a simple, restrained menu. But everything they do they do well. Quality of food and drink is great - my gin and tonic was perfect, and the burger and chips was fantastic. Can't really fault it to be honest. Great value for money too.
