Every time I’ve been to Armando’s it’s been a 5 star experience. This time I gave it 4 stars due to the noise level. Was it overly LOUD due to the majority of 20-30 year olds dining in Armando’s. I would say yes as I understand Thursdays are dance night and it was a livelier crowd than usual. TIP: Don’t go on Thursdays unless you really DONT want to hear the people you’re with.

The service is the standout here. Drinks are great, and the queso is good… The salsa could use a little help however, but this is a great spot for date night or families. A Houston Institution!

The food is always great, so different than lots of Mexican restaurants. To of the line taste. Only problems, our server did not check by with us much. Twice had to flag him down to get tea and once for more sauce for the chips. Been here lots of time, food as good as always but the service is not the kind we normally get at Armandos. Still will go back for food and hopefully a different server.

I regret that I missed the reservation due to an illness in the family. I should have ben able to cancel it properly but Open Table was not working correctly. I look forward to my next visit.

We were seated immediately (had reservations, obviously). The food was excellent. However, our waiter would disappear for extended periods of time (it was NOT a busy night) and we would have to prevail on others when we needed something. We finally got him to drop off some dessert menus but then he never came back to take our orders. We had to stop a waiter from another section to take our order. We've had other service issues at this restaurant - cocktails arriving after dinner was well underway and appetizers arriving after we had finished our main meal. The food, however, has always been very good.

My tacos were average at best, though I do enjoy this restaurant. Yep t has a great upscale vibe. Not the restaurants fault but there was an obnoxiously loud table with a couple of cacklers next to where we were originally seated. I could not hear my date over their indifferent behavior. Yes, I think they should have a good time but it moved well into rude. The host was able to move us after a bit of thought.

Waited a significant amount of time before needing to flag the manager that no waiter had approached us. Minor mistakes with the drink orders. Food is generally quite good. Restaurant is loud, but all the guests and staff are very nice.

I was not at all impressed with my entre. I had the Gulf Fish and distinctly remember thinking "this can't be it." The flavor was good the portion was small and the tortillas were excellent. The drinks were well made but the services was quite bad. The server was not very attentive.

The man who greeted us at the door asked if we had reservations and we said, “yes.” So he then said, “I’ll bet that group of ladies is waiting for you to at that table”! We said, “no, we had reserved a table for 3 and that was not our group.” So he checked the reservation list again and confirmed our reservation and led us to a booth. As the two of us who had arrived began to sit down, our third friend called to us. She was sitting at another booth. Clearly, the man had not paid much attention to our reservation or to the first person who had already arrived. It did not seem very professional at all. We moved ourselves to the other location and finally were able to enjoy the evening. The food was great! The restaurant was incredibly loud and we were all shouting at one another to be heard. Clearly, everyone was in a festive mood.
