Attentive and friendly serving staff. Good food and drinks. Overcharged prix-fixe short rib; five dollar add-on should have made it $23, not $26. Oversight or on purpose? Not sure.
The prix-fixe & happy hour was otherwise worth the try.
The food was terrific: pasta perfectly prepared, lamb shank, branzino delicious and all presented extremely well.
Service was a little slow. We got our drinks after our entree was served. Waitstaff apologized for the delay. I think they need another server on the floor on a Saturday night. Food was excellent. Nice place for friends or for a date.
Si mangia bene li.
Lo chef è un bravissimo cuoco.
The meal was delicious. Sauce is so important with pasta, and the bolognese was delicious. My husband’s lasagne was wonderful. We will be returning. Personally I missed some scalopine style( piccata, francaise, etc.) chicken on the menu.
Excellent fresh made pasta. Service is great with very friendly staff. Very reasonably priced including prix-fixe options.
When we entered the restaurant we were the only table. Other people started coming in afterwards. It took 30 minutes at least to get drinks and forever for food, and the staff had no idea what anyone ordered. Some orders weren’t correct and some were missed.
Always love going to the Arte Cafe either in Chelsea or the Upper West side. Highly recommend!!
The food was average. I had the gnocchi and had chicken added to it, but I barely had half a chicken breast added to it yet paid $5 for it. My mother’s chicken tasted old or cooked from earlier in the day. We honestly didn’t know who our server was. We had six different people come up and take our drink orders and food orders. The main server who checked up on us the most ended up going MIA for the last 20 minutes of our dining experience. When we asked for the check from another server, we were ignored and waited another 10 minutes until we got up and asked the manager for our check. It’s quite sad that we enjoyed our meal more at Olive Garden from the night before.
The quality of food is Very Good. Chicken Parm, Lamb Shank, Cascio Pepe made fresh is excellent on weekends. Service is great. The place is large but cozy and they have a pleasing wine list. Finally some good Italian food!
Excellent! Great ambiance, service, food. Good value for NYC. Had 10 w us.
Great spot! Will definitely come back. Good food, great prices, really nice environment.
There was a group of 6. Many other tables with groups. Not enough staff and were not familiar with some traditional Italian drinks and food. The food itself was ok. There was a draft from the vents hitting 2 people - they tried to adjust to no avail. Place has some work to do. Good location.
The service was very very slow. We ended up paying in cash at the end because we didn't want to sit another 20 minutes for our card to come back. The food was also not great. My fiancé and I both had the Fettuccine Alla Bolognese. They gave us salt but never brought the pepper we requested from two different people.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated for the Holidays - and continues to provide a nice adult dining experience .
Fantastic experience. Enjoyed more than Little Italy.
I went to Arte Cafe Chelsea for the first time, and really enjoyed it. My mista salad and gnocchi were both excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. The service was good and the dining room is both spacious and beautiful.
Went with a group of friends for Thanksgiving dinner. Menu, food and service were great! Will definately be back!
Great food & service. The value at noon was fantastic for Manhattan.
Always a great place to meet for a social with one other or more. Lovely ambiance, very good food and friendly, accommodating service
Patricia was a wonderful server. Started with POLPETTE AL POMODORO (meatballs), and MOZZARELLA DI BUFALA. For dinner we had 2 FETTUCCINE ALLA BOLOGNESE and a TORTELLI RICOTTA E SPINACI. Desert was a Creme Brulee which was not crusty or warm but still very good. All the food was outstanding.
As a beer drinker I was surprised that they had run out of beer as there was a big party going on. Patricia did find one Peroni for me.Pinot Grigio Purato 2017 Sicilia and Montepulciano D’Abruzzo Moda wines made for a great night. Thank you we will be back.
The staff could not of been lovelier great night
Lovely atmosphere and staff was attentive. The food was quite good and a lovely selection of wines. The seating area is spacious so you don’t feel crowded in by the tables next to you.
Waitress was pushing us to order.
I had a late dinner with a fiend on Saturday night. Lively atmosphere , loved the music but not too load. The food was excellent- tender Finn greasy crisp fried calamari, delicious thin crust pepperoni pizza and al dente pasta- orchietta with sausage and broccoli rabe. Chocolate mouse was rich and had extra dark chocolate shavings inside- big portion. The host - River was very friendly and helpful, with an upbeat personality. We will definitely tell our friends about this very spacious place with lovely decor and traditional Italian favorites on the menu. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu which was priced moderately.
Staff was attentive to our table, menus has a good selection and all the food tasted delicious. $16 pastas, but servicing size was good.
The atmosphere here is very pleasant and the tables are not on top of each other. The branzino is excellent with roasted vegetables and we both enjoyed it. For dessert I had apple tart with vanilla ice cream and it was delicious. My friend really liked the tiramisu. The prices were good for a Manhattan restaurant in Chelsea. I highly recommend Arte Cafe.
Could not get anyone to turn down the damn music - inappropriate for the dinner hour and thumping loud all the time!
Very good food, atmosphere and service, consistently delivers a great dining experience.
My 2nd visit in one week. Great after the Irish Rep or on the way home from the theater. Beet salad was delicious. Both pastas were cooked and sauced properly. The restaurant is spacious ... no banquettes. There is actually space between the tables. Edison was our waiter both times. Very solicitous service. Will return.
I KNEW ARTE CAFE FROM UPPER WESTSIDE BUT I VISITED NEW LOCATION AT ARTE CHELSEA WITH MY FRIEND AND IT WAS AMAZING. THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. EVERY ONE WAS FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. WILL COME BACK SOON.!!
Second time there. Food was delicious. Excellent service. Delightful cocktails.
Arte Cafe continues to provide a great dining experience; good service, food, value and nice ambiance - a welcome addition to the area. Highly recommend.
Arte Cafe overall was a disappointment. I wanted to like it, the decor is lovely and the food was pretty good. The service was really slow though and quite rude. One of the waiters even cat-called one of my friends while there as she was walking to the restroom, not okay. Will not return!
We love Arte...there a few times a month. Love the vibe and the food and drinks are always delicious
Great service and delicious food Food is freshly prepared and portions generous. A great casual neighborhood place. Give it a try !
Great service and good value. Delicious casual meal
Discovering that Arte Café had a prix fixe menu as well was great!! Food was excellent and would recommend and look forward to going back again very soon.
The drinks during happy hour were well made, tasty and fairly priced. The price fixed dinner was economical but the food was underwhelming. The minestrone was tasteless as was the pasta bolognese. A grilled octopus appetizer was excellent with a good char and firmness. The branzino filet was quite good.
The branzino fillet both my guest and I had was so over cooked I found it inedible. I also found it peculiar that after picking up my guest’s napkin, which had fallen to the floor, the server didn’t ask if she needed a new napkin. No one was seated near us so it had to be hers.eventually I had to take one from another table to give her. I would not recommend this restaurant.
