Arte e pasta
Returning to fresh pasta at the end of may.
Arte e pasta is an Italian sharing plate restaurant, that uses ingredients imported from Slow Food producers throughout Italy, by the food wholesaler, The Chefs Deli.
Whilst its sister restaurant, Bombetta London in Wanstead (next to Snaresbrook underground Station) focuses on Italian grill, the main feature here is fresh pasta.
The restaurant doubles as a gallery, managed by Wood Street Walls, who facilitated an amazing mural on the front of the building. It is a skip and a hop from the delights of the famous neon collection at Gods Own Junk Yard, Pillars Brewery, Mothers Ruin Distillery, Wild Card Brewery tap room; the wider vibrant Walthamstow Village area. Located under a 10 minute walk from both Wood Street Station and Walthamstow Central, come by train, enjoy the wine list, craft beers on tap and creative cocktail menu.

Delicious food, can’t wait for it to be open fully and try the pasta menu. Highly recommend
Lovely food, decor and great staff. Had a fab evening. Many thanks JoJo.
Lovely food and fab service
really enjoyed the food and the lovely service! Cant wait to be back again to try the fresh pasta!
Absolutely delicious food. Totally worth the visit despite the terrible weather and Covid restrictions requiring us to be outside. Delicious!!!
Nice italian sharing plates. Particulalry enjoyed the salads.
Excellent friendly service. Very accomodating to my family.
After happily receiving some watermelon cocktails on the house due to our 'awkward seating' it was then 30 mins before we were offered any water.
We were also reassured a good 'flow of sharing plates' would come out, but we received a gap of almost 15 mins per dish even though we had ordered multiple dishes at once. 1 dish between 4 people every 15 mins left us very unsatisfied.
We were charged for a sauce which we never received and had to be taken off the bill. Our table very much seemed to be forgotten about as other tables around us had dishes arriving at a very fast pace.
As this was for a birthday meal it was a very disappointing experience especially after we had heard such good things from friends.
Possibly an off night but it didn't seem so for the other tables so unfortunately will not be returning.
Amazing experience, loved the food and service!!!!
Fantastic friendly service and delicious food. We’ll be back!
A fantastic restaurant which we will be visiting very regularly from now on after last nights incredible meal. Staff, food, setting all top notch. A real gem of an addition to Walthamstow!
Delicious food, house wine was great. Lovely service, friendly with good recommendations. Cold day when we went but they had an outside heater.
Table and chairs could’ve been nicer, slightly basic and small. Good setup in general, we were down a little alley at the side but it was still weirdly cozy. Would recommend, will be coming back with friends, especially since the inside looks really great, some kind of barn conversion or something.
Definitely give it a go
Food was incredible and service was lovely. Great for kids but definitely an adult vibe. Basically perfect.
Been waiting to go for a while and wasn’t disappointed. Awesome food, fresh seasonal ingredients, excellent relaxed service. Can’t wait to go again (maybe even indoors!)
Friendly restaurant, lovely decor and blankets provided for outdoors. Recommend the pork and biscotti beans, and the beer!
I really wanted to like this place, it’s not like we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to Italian food in Walthamstow! Unfortunately, the seasoning on the food was very inconsistent - the polenta chips were very bland, whereas the rice and yoghurt salad was salty. Prices were comparable to central London, particularly drinks.
Delicious food and brilliant service. A wonderful addition to the area.
The food was so delicious, all perfectly cooked and generous portions. Wine was great. Atmosphere very warm and relaxed. Staff were super nice. I can't wait to go back. Thank you
Brilliant food, quick and friendly service
Lovely food, all very fresh. And helpful, friendly staff
The food was just ok considering the price and there is no pizza or pasta available, just tapas and all are deep fried.
Really lovely new restaurant. Second visit and will become a regular. Lovely staff and a gem.
Good job it’s tapas as you want to try everything! Every dish was excellent and the service was brilliant. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be going back!
Excellent service and great food.
We can't wait till it is fully open, so we can sample some of the fresh pasta dishes.
Simply the most wonderful meal we have had in the ‘Stow for years!
Food was fantastic, will definitely be back.
Perfection, food and service!
Superb - the food is the best Italian I have had in London and the service was fantastic too. Highlights were the panzanella salad, courgette fries and the mussels.
Very child-friendly (big bowl of pasta and sauce for our 2-year old on-the-house!).
You can really appreciate the amount of work that's gone into the outdoor area (and Covid-awareness).
Will be visiting again as soon as we can!
Wonderful food and lovely service. Will definitely be going back.
We loved everything about our visit to Art e Pasta! We were welcomed by very friendly waiters who remained attentive and helpful throughout the evening. The local beer and house wine is to die for, as are the cocktails. We tried so many dishes on the menu, all of which were delicious and presented beautifully - the doguhnuts for dessert are a must! The outside area is so fun - great murals, plants and decor - and heaters which were great at keeping us warm. We felt as though we were on holiday in a bustling alley. We would 100% recommend to anyone looking for an authentic dining experience, and outstanding food. We will be back soon!
These people definitely know how to fry! Lovely service and the food was authentic with a modern twist! Definitely recommend!
Very lovely restaurant, service was amazing. A little disappointed there was no pasta on the menu but this will be coming once sitting inside is allowed. Food really good but a little on the pricey side.
Delicious tapas style pop up - Italian food at its finest. The service was fantastic and the restaurant is very Covid secure. The food is a little pricey - more central London prices than Walthamstow but worth it for a treat
Almost don't want to review this one because then the secret will be out and I won't be able to get a table again!!! Lovely, vibrant little place with delicious food and hospitable staff. Can't recommend it highly enough. The whole experience was wonderful!
Ahh shucks you've made us blush :-))))))) Thank you so much for reviewing us. We can't wait to have you back again.
Amazing mouthwatering alfresco Italian food.
Great service and great value
Service was the best we have received in a very long time. Made us feel so relaxed & happy. We took our baby and the team couldn’t have been more welcoming & helpful. Food & wine were sublime. Beef tartar & goats cheese salad were stunning. Oysters super fresh & tasty. Will be back regularly.
Really lovely lunch here, the food was great, amazing quality produce done well and the service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going back.
Amazing food and lovely outdoor seating area. Great friendly service too!
We had such a lovely evening at Arte e Pasta. Lovely addition to Walthamstow and can imagine it becoming a fond favourite. A shout out to the service, Jo and the owner were fantastic and we loved our cheeky melon-cello night cap - lovely touch!! Also dog friendly!!
We had a lovely lunch - tasty food and very accommodating and friendly staff.
Thank you for the straight 5 stars. We go back to pasta at the end of May and we hope to see you here or at Bombetta London really soon!
Very lovely staff. It was very cold but there were heaters and blankets. Some lovely art work.
Hi Luke, We had 6 tables in the alley when you visited and all our heaters. It was so cold when the sun went in. I wish we could have done more to make the ambience better for you. We invested in 4 large gas heaters that we bought new for £280 + VAT each, a large electric heater that cost £250 and a small gas heater. Every seat had a blanket as well as you pointed out. Despite this I'm sorry you were cold. I hope you'll come back and we can turn some of those 3 stars into 4s and 5s. Ben.
