Arthur Hooper's is a stylish restaurant overlooking Borough Market. We've infused the spirit of the area’s tradition that allows visitors to easily sample fresh food from local suppliers and wine from all over the world.
Our menu is inspired by fresh nutritious ingredients and flavours, sourced from local market suppliers including Neal’s Yard, Cannon & Cannon and Bread Ahead.
Our charming and cosy first floor FRUIT & VEG private dining room is available for hire throughout the day. Perfect for business meetings, product launches, workshops or intimate gatherings with friends and family.
The gentleman looking after us was outstanding, very attentive and always there to help. Plates are quite small so ideal if you want to try a little bit of everything!
I had a great lunch there. Service was great and couldn't fault it to the point where my son in law ordered a drink that he didn't like and they replaced it with something else and no charge! We had spent a lot there that afternoon and it was nice and so rare for that to be acknowledged. Marked down in places because the downstairs toilet was a bit below standard. Couldn't fault the food and trust me I am fussy!
Very nice place in the middle of Borough Market, good service and food.
Lovely modern wine bar, serving tasty tapas-style food. Great place for a friends’ get together and able to share the food.
Nice place with good ambiance
Lovely food great front of house staff, nice wines, a good plaice for a leasirly meal.
The lunchtime service was quick and efficient and the food delicious.
Great restaurant, vegan friendly, wonderful staff - and a fantastic choice of wines and cocktails. Couldn’t recommend more
The dining room was lovely and staff more so. A Virgin Mary was fantastic. The food is served in sharing portions (if you want to) with a few larger dishes. Everything we had was just beautiful. One of my friends said 'It's not often you have a meal where everything you taste is WOW'. And everything was. From cheeses, to pasta, to vegetables. There were two desserts and we have both. One - I can't describe and do it justice was ice creamy-chocolatey-sesame-snapy - was gorgeous. The cheesecake unlike any I've had before. Light as air, with hints of lemon and pear. It was divine. Terrific.
Beautiful food, tasty wine and friendly and knowledgeable service. We had a really lovely time.
The food at Arthur Hooper's was absolutely delicious! I had the seabream which was cooked to perfection; others had the mushroom linguine which was very tasty as well. Bit of a disappointing vegetarian offering as a whole (luckily I eat fish) but other than that a really nice menu.
We were quite chilly sat by the window however it did give a lovely view of the hustle and bustle of Borough Market. Great for lunch and can imagine a very romantic spot for two in the evening.
Lovely food and drink from friendly staff.
Customer service was impeccable, lovely venue for a date. ❤️
Excellent food and superb friendly professional staff. Highly recommended!
Lovely meal as always, some nice new wines to compliment the winter food.
Loved the interior. Atmosphere very good. Service not bad. Wine good, small plates tasty. Like the idea of the small plates if you only want something light. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.
Relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff who did not seek to rush us and were happy to adapt the menu to the taste of members of our group. We visited on a busy evening on the run up to Christmas, but they didn’t seem to mind us lingering beyond our dining slot.
Fabulous tapas bar and restaurant
Good service great food
If busy it is quite noisy
Easy to get to just within borough market
Definitely recommend! A hidden gem that I wished I’d known about sooner. Great service, attentive, knowledgeable and discreet. Good Friday night vibe & flexed ambience from bar drinks to tapas to dinner. Excellent quality food, good variety & good portions. Great value! Will come again!
Lovely little restaurant with option of sharing plates or having individual courses. The food was really nice and the staff were chilled and friendly.
The food was overall a bit disappointing- some dishes very nice but others - particularly the salads -were a rip off eg beetroot salad just had some shavings of beetroot on top of lettuce.
Nice ambience though.
Food was very tasty! My girlfriend and I ordered the cheese selection and a couple vegetable plates and some olives - this was probably too much for us, but as we fat, we finished it anyway... These all came within about 10 minutes of ordering, which helped us save on beer money. All in all cost us £70 including service charge, food was delicious and wait time was very low, would recommend.
Lovely food; décor very industrial grey which I did think was a bit past it now but the weather was wet and rainy so it didn't matter. We had a good time and the staff were very friendly..
Great service, delicious food, and a lovely place.
Highly recommend !!
Overall, a pleasant experience. The food was delicious and there was a good atmosphere. However, it felt like the waiter couldn't really care less about serving us and was itching to get us out the door!
Lots of nice sharing plate options. Good ambience, waiters were attentive, food came quickly and was tasty (although the salted peppers were somewhat lacking in salt).
When we visited it was post-lunch hour on a Monday so it was very quiet - I can imagine it would get noisy when full as tables are close together. Food on the set menu was tasty, although portions were quite modest.
Absolutely delicious food. We ordered same dish twice..... Burrata cheese
Atmosphere felt bit ‘cold’ as walked in maybe as only one table in use, or perhaps the interior design? Colour might enhance it perhaps. Brilliant service, great knowledge of the dishes we had questions about.
Would highly recommend.
Lovely food good wines and cocktails, some nice beers, friendly front of house staff.
Good place to catch a nice drink or eat a meal.
Great little bar with fantastic service. Small plates were perfect and full of flavour, we had the steak, burrata and avocado toast. Could have easily eaten it all over again!
I will be back for sure!
Lovely evening here. Delicious food, warm and friendly staff and lovely wine! We will be back!
Just fantastic.. LOVE this place.. Amazing . Meatballs from heaven .. just superb.. Will def be back...xxx
An odd place to dine, very small and to get a drink at the bar impossible.
We were early for our reservation and credit to the staff they got our table ready quickly, the menu choices are very limited and not that tasty, it really is a Tapas Cafe.
Food was tapas Style dining and delicious - having chosen the restaurant from a hitlisted Italian section there was a lack any connection with any Italian cooking but that should not detract from the food which was excellent and reasonably priced standing its location - maybe needs a signature dish or attraction.
A nice little find in Borough Market. I loved the ambience and layout of the restaurant. There was a wide variety of small plates, some of which were available as main courses. I will definitely be visiting again.
Always a lovely experience, great food good wines friendly staff, what's not to enjoy?
I had lunch here based on a TimeOut review of Italian restaurants and was not disappointed. Overall the food was excellent. We shared the starters and had a main course. The starters were particularly good. I enjoyed my main course of pasta with pork ragu. The staff were helpful and friendly, and it was reasonably priced. I would happily go back there.
Nice restaurant under the arches at Borough Market. Nice food for mid-priced meal near London Bridge. Could have a bit more buzz, but it was a Tuesday !
Great food, great wine. A lovely evening - will definitely be back!
Great food - great staff.
