Arthur Hooper's is a stylish restaurant overlooking Borough Market. We've infused the spirit of the area’s tradition that allows visitors to easily sample fresh food from local suppliers and wine from all over the world.
Our menu is inspired by fresh nutritious ingredients and flavours, sourced from local market suppliers including Neal’s Yard, Cannon & Cannon and Bread Ahead.
Our charming and cosy first floor FRUIT & VEG private dining room is available for hire throughout the day. Perfect for business meetings, product launches, workshops or intimate gatherings with friends and family.
Great food and wines, very friendly front of house, trying hard to accommodate your needs. Add to this some really nice cocktails and you have harbour hooper's....
The price was higher than the indicative range on the site so be aware! But food, service and ambiance was good.
Really lovely small plates. Not too small though. Lovely flavours in all dishes. The beetroot tagliatelle was a highlight as was the carpaccio. Service very good.
This is my favourite restaurant in Bermondsey. Situated in the vibrant Borough Market. The food is always of a consistently high standard and the wine list very palatable - my favourite is the Alberino. Four of us dined on Tuesday evening and we ordered an array of different dishes which we all shared. Delicious food, excellent service. Love this place
Arthur Hooper’s is a gem of a restaurant. The staff are really friendly and give excellent advice for your wine and food choices. The food is delicious and I always look forward to visiting this restaurant again.
Dependable in every way which is why I have Arthur Hooper’s on ‘to go to’ list
lovely service beautiful venue not too busy our food was very nice they also had vegan menu :)
Our favourite restaurant in London. Not just because it is possible to eat well as a vegan, but also because the homemade Amaretto keeps bringing us back... Outstanding.
The set lunch menu is excellent value - we had a aubergine and feta starter followed by a delicious mackerel dish for £12.00. Attentive service. Noise level ok but at times not easy to hear the conversation across the table once the restaurant filled up. Having said that I would go back because the food was excellent.
Great food & wicked cocktails, all served by friendly staff. The restaurant has a very relaxed ambience & we will visit again.
Fun and busy location with very friendly staff and good food.
This was our second visit to Arthur Hopper's, and it did not disappoint.
From the friendly staff and delicious aperitif, to the creative food and wicked liqueurs, it was a delight. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you at in the Borough Market area!
Great experience! Could not recommend enough. Thank you so much for having us.
Enjoyable food with good service. Tapas style means you get to try lots of different tastes.
Nice atmosphere, lovely food but very small portions for price
Has a great view over Borough Market. Food was alright.
Excellent food and great service. We loved everything.
Nice sharing plates, but did come in over quite a long period. Tasty combinations, some a bit salty.
Amazing food, great value and great service, our waiter was amazing
Great go to modern European tapas style dining, good wines and cocktails, front of house very efficient and friendly.
Great place for lunch. Very friendly and helpful staff that seem to genuinely care about the food they serve.
We had a lovely meal, we shared 6 small plates between the 3 of us and it was plenty. We had a delicious bottle of Rose wine although we did feel the wine was on the pricey side
May have been the awesome company that was with me but the food and service were great. Had a fab time thank you
As soon as I came across this restaurant and I saw some of the pics of their food I got very excited about it. Well, my excitement grew even more as soon as started tasting the food and as I started chatting and meeting everyone who worked there. What a delightful bunch! Mao, John, Carla and so on and so forth. I can’t wait to go back and taste other dishes on the menu. Great job you guys! A big shout to John for all his recommendations around town.
The service was great and the wait staff lovely but the food was absolutely dreadful. It tasted as though an amateur chef had gone shopping at Tesco’s and cooked for a below average dinner party. £40 pp for a small meal with wine as well 😱. Better to either splurge at Elliot’s nearby, queue for Padella, book for Boro Bistro or wander down to Bermondsey Street. I don’t understand how this place has so many positive reviews.
Great find - food very good and wine list interesting and well priced. Service was great, friendly staff, happy to help. Definitely worth a visit, I'm certainly going back.
Superb food, wine and atmosphere.
This place exceeded my expectations in every single way.
Could not recommend it anymore
The food was delicious especially the clams and nduja! The staff were very attentive and friendly, especially Mao who answered all our questions about the menu brilliantly. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Very nice place with mix european tapas style dishes. There is plenty of choices ( meat, fish or veg) I would definitely recommend to go and I will repeat for sure. The staff is really friendly and helpful when it comes to choosing the dishes.
Airy, high ceiling room right next to Borough Market. I had asked for a quiet table and we were in a corner where conversation was easy. Good advice on cocktails. Gin/Martini correct and my Baby Doll was very tasty! Very mushroomy pasta, excellent roasted cauliflower with yoghurt and raisins, good chicken pâté with Aperol jelly and a good Herotage Tomato salad. Only one grumble- £7.50 for a 125ml glass of Provence rosé seemed a little steep. Service was very good. We’ll be returning.
The service was great, had a birthday and received really cpesial attention from the professional waiter. I would recommend the place is good for any occasion. Celso was serving my table and I would deffinately say that me and my boyfriend were served in a nice and professional manner.
Tasty food and great wine - lovely spot opposite Borough market
Very close to London Bridge Arthur Hoopers offers small bites as well as larger meal options. Fresh tasty nibbles and a great wine list selection, an up market hang out at a reasonable price! Great place and will return
Nice ambience, nice food, excellent service. Menu is varied enough to cater well to vegetarians and to the non-vegetarians. As it was a lovely day, the inside was very nice and quiet. A good experience!
Great experience. Really wonderful and thoughtful staff plus food was excellent. Would absolutely recommend!!
An absolute pleasure to once again visit this place in south London.
My partner and I had a fantastic experience at Arthur Hoopers; the food was the delicious, the atmosphere was great and the staff were absolutely amazing. I highly recommend!
Perfect place for a catch up or a date - lovely staff, good ambience but quiet enough to chat
Food was really good. Staff very friendly and attentive. They forgot one of our side dishes and immediately rectified it said no charge for it and also a free liqueur. Had a good buzz about it but not massively noisy.
I do not think as 60 somethings we are the clientele this restaurant prefers. We were seated in an out of sight corner, were overlooked much of the hour or so we were there, and were ignored when we asked our courses be spread out so that we could enjoy them slowly. Once we put our orders in, everything arrived quickly, with no chance to finish one item before the next appeared. If you are a young diner, you may enjoy this restaurant more. The food is good and the atmosphere lively.
