Awesome kebabs, immaculate service
Great traditional food. Very tasty. Good atmosphere, nice buzz around the place.
Great atmosphere, very attentive staff, food was excellent
Will recommend and return
Not been since before Lockdown and was yet again completely blown away by the quality food. From the starters to main everything was fresh, hot and great portions.
Stopped in for dinner and had a great meal. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu offering great recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. The dishes were delicious as were the wine and cocktail recommendations.
Great atmosphere, service also and the food was fantastic. Thoroughly recommend this place.
Had to chase the waiter to place our order, but then the main course came about 2 minutes after the poppodoms!
We visited Asha's for an anniversary dinner and left feeling really disappointed. Some of the food we had was lovely (mushroom kurkure starter and veggie samosas in particular) but the service was unbelievably slow amongst other things.
I am vegan so called ahead to check there would be enough vegan options for me. I was told that nearly all of the vegetarian options could be made vegan so felt pretty comfortable that I would be accommodated. When I arrived however, I was told there were only a handful of vegan options available so I had to settle for the daal and rice as my main which was really frustrating as I probably wouldn't have visited the restaurant if I knew I couldn't be catered for.
When we ordered popadoms we did not order any dips but these were given to us without asking. When we asked the waiter to clarify whether the dips were complimentary as we had not asked for them, he told us they would need to be paid for. Why put them on our table if we did not order them? We found this to be quite a cheeky selling technique given how much we were already spending at the restaurant.
Finally, the service was slow and the restaurant was loud. It was so difficult to get the attention of waiters and we had to ask for the bill several times. None of the waiters apologised for this and if anything seemed annoyed when we kept asking for things. We spent over two hours at the restaurant and spent a lot of this time waiting around.
The experience at Asha's was not a good one and we are very upset about this given the reputation it has.
Service was good, food was very good, quality ingredients with a great balance of spices and flavours. We had the Tandoori Leg of Lamb which was amazing and a huge portion for 2.
Excellent service & excellent food highly recommend
Great meal at ashas last night , fantastic service and extremely tasty food, the prawn balchao was exceptional , a little on the expensive side but still very good
Enjoyed the food , always excellent here. Evening ruined by the waiter spilling a tray of drinks all over me.
Perfect ambiance for an evening dinner with the family. Not noisy quite peaceful, enjoyed very much.
21st birthday celebrations
Excellent as always. President's Platter was superb.
Amazing curry experience, presidents platter, although a tad pricey is delicious.
Great evening for all.
Overpriced curry - food served too fast. Friendly staff
Service was excellent , very professional. Food was so good , we probably ordered too much but the portions were good value for money and excellent quality . We ordered the presidents platter and again the food was to die for . We live Ashas and the Cocktails are the best also .
We have been regulars at Asha’s for years and had really missed it during the restrictions. It was wonderful to be able to return to our “ go to restaurant “ to have a family meal celebrating missed milestones! The food was as exceptional as ever and the service too. Thank you!
Brilliant selection of drinks and cocktails, the food menu was very well organized and quality of food was fantastic will return.
Busy at 7pm. Very noisy. Nice food. Quite expensive for what you get.
Great food, didn't like sitting in the sectioned off glass room but other than that, cannot fault it.
felt the service wasn't where i would expect it considering we are welcoming people back to hospitality again. Food wasn't as good as i recall or expected v's price/expectation. Asked for an old fashioned cocktail and was served OJ with a shot of whisky (not nice).
Great food and drink and service as always a great night out
I ordered. Lamb Vindaloo curry, was very disappointed at how mild it was ?
I have had hotter Masala dishes.
When someone orders a Vindaloo it is because they want a HOT curry.
Had a fantastic meal at Asha's in Birmingham, no rush, no hassle and very good service.
I would recommend this place to everyone.
Fire alarm went off on numerous occasions impacting the experience
Food was excellent but difficult to fully enjoy the experience and conversation with such noise
First time, food amazing, service good, little pricey but worth it will definitely be going back
Lovely freshly cooked food with excellent menu. Unfortunately that's as good as it got. After starters there were crumbs and drops of mint mint sauce on table which were not cleared until desserts came. Deserts were placed on corner of table not in the middle which is strange as it was a sharing platter. Table we sat at was unstable and rickety. And to cap it off, the toilets were unkempt with paper towels all over the floor. For a restaurant that charges the prices it does, these anomalies are unacceptable.
Food as usual excellent, only slight criticism is that the poppadums weren't served before the main course. Otherwise excellent service.
Delicious food that made a change to the usual offerings at a standard Indian resturant.
The cocktails were lovely, the wine was good, the service was friendly and professional, but most importantly the food was the star.
This was a lovely dining experience.
It took too long for the food to arrive.
The music was loud and annoying. It sounded like some cheap pub. You. Plus play asha bhonsle songs to create a better atmosphere. I’m not sure who the target audience was. Spoilt the evening 😡
Great Food and service, had recommended to all of my friends
The quality of the food is excellent and that is the biggest attraction to Asha’s. The service could have been a little more attentive, however, it was clear there quite a number of new young staff who were learning the ropes so I am sure they will get more efficient as they get to know the system.
Everything was perfect. It was my birthday so they bought me a slice of cake which was nice.
Fab food. Very busy so disappointed to be sat out front where the walk ins normally go as we had booked. But we always come for the food and it never lets us down. Expensive but worth it.
Been here before and the food wasn’t as good, my main came out and was cold however they did take it off the bill.
The food here and service was amazing! Cant wait to go back! :)
Disappointed as had booked dinner for my daughter and her partner as a gift. Had requested prior to meal to be billed on the card details left with the restaurant at time of booking. Spoke with Ria who said she had made a note of the request and the guests will NOT be billed. Yet to my great disappointment my guests were made to pay. It has left me feeling very bad and sorry and it defeated the purpose of my booking. Would like someone to look into my complaint and respond to me
Beautiful food and absolute top class service, will certainly be back soon.
