A light smooth creamy sauce with a delicate twist of sweet 'n' sour for those with delicate palate
Friendly staff, delicious food, full of flavour. Reasonably priced. Good size portions. Nice light Nan bread.
Will definitely return.
First time here and we’ll definitely be back!! Food tasted amazing and the portions were great too!! Staff were super friendly and very attentive!! Great start to our night!!
Couldn’t finish our mains do next time I think we’ll either split a starter or not have one. We were so full afterwards. We will be back, unsure when, but we will be back!! Been a long. Time since we received such great service.
Lovely food, just that bit different.
Absolutely loved the haggis pakoras.
Food and staff are great. My only issue is that we were all crushed in together and it made me feel a bit anxious Perhaps downstairs could have been utilised.
Food was very nice , although cold by the time the rice and nans were finally served.
Staff were friendly but service far too slow, table beside us walked out as had waited 2 hrs and still not had their food
We have been going to Ashoka west end for 30 years to be honest this was not a good meal the service was great but unfortunately the food was the worst we have had
The rice was stuck together the lamb curry was like nothing I have tasted before very strange almost like beef stock
Unfortunately this wa not up to Ashoka standard very disappointing
The food is excellent and the menu is very varied. Overall it's a lovely place to go.
Our only issue on our recent visit want that the wait staff seemed to be very inexperienced, struggled to understand us when ordering, and were at our table over ten times during our meal, interrupting our conversation frequently and this eventually became rather irritating. It's not an issue we've had before when visiting the Ashoka, but we think we will leave it for a while before returning.
Fabulous food- vegan choices we’ll labelled and inventive which we really appreciated. Lovely staff and great time had.
Good overall experience, however the initial greeter/server was very rude. He seemed stressed from us entering the restaurant although it was only 6pm and the place was relatively quiet at the time. He only spoke to us three times and all three times were abrupt and unnecessary for the circumstances. Once seated the servers downstairs were attentive and helpful, the food was delicious and price was as expected. Overall a shame that the initial welcoming was lacking and very off putting.
Lovely, helpful staff. Food really tasty and fresh. Nothing too much effort, very good value for money too. Can’t wait to come back!
Early evening visit, staff very attentive, polite and providing great service. Food lovely and great value for money.
Food was below average, place is cramped, more than anything else the waiters were very rude. Paid £60 for a family of 4(2 kids), which I think is way too much for the quality of the food and the service we received.
Not the biggest or nice furnishings etc but the food was nice with pretty attentive and friendly staff. Reasonable value for money
One of the best meals out in Glasgow we had during our holiday.
We walked passed the restaurant on our way to another the day before and the smell made us immediately book a table for the next day.
Service was great. Food was without fault. Thank you!
Great selection of vegan food and friendly staff.
A lovely restuarant close to the Kelvingrove art gallery & museum. We went early and had the very resonable pre-theatre menu. Special mention goes to the fish pakora and the momos (steamed dumplings) starters. I loved the mural spanning the whole wall. The staff were brilliant.
Great food, great food, helpful and efficient staff.
Open table says pre theatre to 6.30. Restaurant and their menus says 6. We arrived for 6pm booking at 6.04 to be told pre theatre not available. We explained and they eventually gave us pre theatre.
Food tasty fresh and modern
Partly my fault,I ordered Garlic chilli chicken masala. At the start of eating my meal it was good but then the garlic kicked in. There was seriously too much garlic,it was overwhelming. The portion of the meal was great and there was plenty left for a doggy bag,but I couldn’t face any more, no fear of a vampire attack. I would go back but not for that dish.
Nice server, foods were cooked well and really enjoyed eating there. Glad went there and would go back again in near future. very friendly place.
Food was good and staff great. Can't fault it. We love the ashoka
The food was authentic and outstanding. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to recommend dishes accordingly.
First class experience 👍
Excellent choice of South Indian cuisine. Very tasty large portions
1st time visiting, and the food was outstanding however, service was poor! Felt totally rushed in and out, don’t get me wrong we came early and was fortunate enough to be seated early, but I was eating my starter and the lady came over and lifted the plate asking if I was done, when she clearly seen me eating with food in hand. And again felt rushed out.
Friendly staff. Great food. Huge naan breads. Haggis pakora new experience.
Prompt super service with excellent food . Would visit again
Had a fantastic meal with my family, the food was absolutely delicious. The service was first class too, would definitely recommend.
Food was fantastic as always! Was so good to be back in the restaurant! Very safe and yet enjoyable!! The staff are amazing and even brought my mum out a cake for her birthday! Love this place! 💖
Staff were lovely and so was the food. Everything came quickly and the waiters were very attentive
Amazing food, great service, lovely staff!
Would defo recommend!
Really nice meal, friendly staff and a nice relaxing environment
Had a wonderful meal with the Family, looking forward to another visit next time we are in Glasgow
Excellent food and excellent service
Excellent I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic place for food good price friendly service
Food was outstanding as usual great service friendly staff and clean place to eat
Smells damp inside the venue. Staff very pleasant and food quite good. Not expensive. Naan is good
Fantastic food and great service, the Government scheme dramatically reduced the bill.
Have visited this restaurant many times and standards have never fallen.
Apart from the poor choice of table....our fault, it was brilliant.
Lamg Saag was exceptional but all the food was great. We chose a table near the door which was silly. The amount of people coming and going made us slightly nervous.
Waiting staff were attentive and friendly. Great evening of almost normal currying. Will definitely be back.
