Tasty food, good and attentive service, reasonable prices
Food delicious ! Classic Indian food and lovely service ! Highly recommended
Lovely staff and food was nice, the upstairs seating area feels like you are dining in a takeaway with all the just eat orders running about and decor was not welcoming or appealing. Service was great staff were very attentive. Get a nicer setting and this will be a much nicer restaurant than it currently is.
Poor choices from a basic menu. No king prawn dishes included in the menu only chicken options. No traditional turkey dinner option. No crackers, hats or decorations. Seated in a room that was cold cos the heater was broken!
Poor value for money at £35.95 per head this 3 course meal had very little to offer! Very disappointed on Christmas Day
My friend and I had a really good meal on Xmas Day. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend it and I’ll be back.
My go to place to eat well, relax and catch up with my favourite people in easy surroundings. Perfect😊
Food was outstanding, only issue was we asked for a mixed grill with no prawns and came with prawns but wasn’t too much of a big deal. Had the South Indian chilli chicken and chilli garlic rice, was really really nice, service was great the garlic naan was so fresh! Will be returning very soon!
Food was excellent with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. Staff were lovely. Will be visiting again
Treat value for money and the staff are very pleasant
As always, good food, brilliant service at a great price.
Been here several times. The food is always excellent, as is the service.
Only problem for me, is that on our last two visits, the coffee machine wasn't working. Other than that, a great night's dining.
Really good food and service. Only point is due to the door opening all the time the restaurant was cold. Best to sit downstairs.
Sorry to say, l have always loved Ashoka, this visit not so good, poor service, food not good always have chicken tikka that is always amazing but this time it felt as if I was eating processed chicken, sauce not the amazing taste as always, such a shame as it was first choice.
Excellent choice and excellent meal
Attentive service without being intrusive
Booked a table but nothing ready as if just came off the street given a table as if sitting in the kitchen. Nobody in charge and looked as if the restaurant was second to the take away service. Poor dinning experience which was once well run just a pity
Excellent outstanding service food was amazing staff where so friendly inviting and by far best Indian meal we have had in a long long time
Food was good service slow. Noisy kitchen door spoiled the ambience
Overall an excellent experience at Ashoka finnieston as always. Food is great and excellent service. Great with my 11 year old son too.
Food was very good though not exceptional as it always is. The restaurant was very busy which may have had to do with this. Ambience was lovely; staff were attentive and friendly though we did receive an incorrect starter amidst the chaos of a Saturday night.
Delicious food, generous portions. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Haven’t been to the Ashoka west end for years, best curry I have had in a restaurant for a long time.
Good food and attentive service…would happily recommend.
Small restaurateur very few tables food good though
The staff were obviously new.. Order was wrong twice.. Waitress spilled water over one of us but food was delicious. Would Def go again but they Def need staff training.
A favourite Indian restaurant. Always outstanding food and service.
Friendly staff, delicious food, full of flavour. Reasonably priced. Good size portions. Nice light Nan bread.
Will definitely return.
First time here and we’ll definitely be back!! Food tasted amazing and the portions were great too!! Staff were super friendly and very attentive!! Great start to our night!!
Couldn’t finish our mains do next time I think we’ll either split a starter or not have one. We were so full afterwards. We will be back, unsure when, but we will be back!! Been a long. Time since we received such great service.
Lovely food, just that bit different.
Absolutely loved the haggis pakoras.
Food and staff are great. My only issue is that we were all crushed in together and it made me feel a bit anxious Perhaps downstairs could have been utilised.
Food was very nice , although cold by the time the rice and nans were finally served.
Staff were friendly but service far too slow, table beside us walked out as had waited 2 hrs and still not had their food
We have been going to Ashoka west end for 30 years to be honest this was not a good meal the service was great but unfortunately the food was the worst we have had
The rice was stuck together the lamb curry was like nothing I have tasted before very strange almost like beef stock
Unfortunately this wa not up to Ashoka standard very disappointing
The food is excellent and the menu is very varied. Overall it's a lovely place to go.
Our only issue on our recent visit want that the wait staff seemed to be very inexperienced, struggled to understand us when ordering, and were at our table over ten times during our meal, interrupting our conversation frequently and this eventually became rather irritating. It's not an issue we've had before when visiting the Ashoka, but we think we will leave it for a while before returning.
Fabulous food- vegan choices we’ll labelled and inventive which we really appreciated. Lovely staff and great time had.
Good overall experience, however the initial greeter/server was very rude. He seemed stressed from us entering the restaurant although it was only 6pm and the place was relatively quiet at the time. He only spoke to us three times and all three times were abrupt and unnecessary for the circumstances. Once seated the servers downstairs were attentive and helpful, the food was delicious and price was as expected. Overall a shame that the initial welcoming was lacking and very off putting.
Lovely, helpful staff. Food really tasty and fresh. Nothing too much effort, very good value for money too. Can’t wait to come back!
Early evening visit, staff very attentive, polite and providing great service. Food lovely and great value for money.
Food was below average, place is cramped, more than anything else the waiters were very rude. Paid £60 for a family of 4(2 kids), which I think is way too much for the quality of the food and the service we received.
Not the biggest or nice furnishings etc but the food was nice with pretty attentive and friendly staff. Reasonable value for money
One of the best meals out in Glasgow we had during our holiday.
We walked passed the restaurant on our way to another the day before and the smell made us immediately book a table for the next day.
Service was great. Food was without fault. Thank you!
Great selection of vegan food and friendly staff.
