Ask any Glaswegian for directions to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and they"re sure to say "D'you know the Ashoka Finnieston?" Immortalised as a famous culinary landmark, it sits on the corner of the longest street and shortest road in the city, and shines like a beacon and acts like a magnet to Glasgow's colossal curry eating fraternity

We were a group of six and had delicious food and the atmosphere was very good . Very Friendly service. Main courses took a wee while to arrive hence can only give 4/5 for service but was great when it did come.

Poor experience last nighr due to having to sit in cold temperatures. Not really acceptable and spoiled the experience

Food was tasty and good value. Restaurant didn’t have our booking but they said they would take us anyways. I showed them our email and they were dismissive and said it didn’t matter. I then got an email from opentable asking why I hadn’t honoured my booking so it did matter. We were sat upstairs and it was very cold many customers were sitting with jackets on.

Fantastic meal and fast, efficient service. One of the best Indians in Scotland - highly recommend! Also brilliant for many gluten free options.

Food was fairly average, but service wasn't great. Restaurant was freezing and there was a draft coming through the seats.

First time to Ashoka and would love to come back when next in Glasgow. Food was lovely and tasted fresh. Staff catered to our different dietary needs (1 vegan, 1 vegetarian and 1 gluten free) without any hint of inconvenience. Dropped one star from my review as the waiter wasn’t very ‘smiley’ but I wonder if I’m quibbling?

The food was so amazing that we were tempted to return again the next day!! Only critique would be the food came out at different times. I got my curry then 5 minutes later i got my side and then 5 minutes later my friend and my friend got all of hers at once

The Ashoka is the best Indian Restaurant in Glasgow. I love the Chicken Rogan Josh. I order a lot of take away from this restaurant in Finnieston. The pre theatre menu is such great value, you get lots of food. The staff are very courteous & friendly. This restaurant has been around since the 70's & it has stood the test of time.

Poor table service. Few orders were mixed up. Food was cold and bland. Over priced. Drinks added to the bill we didn't have. Wouldn't return.

We had the pre-theatre menu which had plenty of options. The portions were a good size and the food was very tasty. The service was attentive and friendly.

The meal was spot on and was a real treat. We were served fairly quickly and I had no issues with the service all night. It is easy to see why the win plenty of restaurant awards!

Really enjoyed our food. We usually pick up a carryout here after work. The carryout food is usually delicious. The dining in food was far superior if flavour. A very pleasant surprise.

Normally one of our favourite curry stops. Service was patchy, not offered popadoms spiced onions or pickles to start which is the norm in this resteraunt. Had to ask for them .When they arrived , popadoms were soft and slightly stale and there was no pickle, pointed this out and we were given an apology. Nothing else , just an apology. One of the starters was wrong and when pointed this out was informed it would take 7 minutes to cook what was originally ordered. No other solution offered. Main was it's usually high standard .
We like it here , service is normally spot on. We thought at the very least a minor alteration to the bill would have been forthcoming without having to ask which of course we did'nt . But for the first time ever we paid and left no tip .

Not good value. Was given wrong curry in our opinion although they said otherwise. Was a good restaurant in the past but not now.

Food was excellent, first time in this branch of Ashoka. Service was a little ragged, I think some issues front of house but did not detract from experience or the quality of the food. Staff apologised when things didnt quite go to plan, they were good under obvious pressure!

Overall though a great meal!

Fantastic meal everything was lovely and fresh. The food was top notch and we ate far too much. No regrets. Nice small space too so it doesn't get too crowded or noisey. Staff were attentive and friendly. Will be back

Food was excellent. Service great we were allocated downstairs and it was busy with a large family party across from our table.
We prefer upstairs but we still enjoyed the delicious food .

My friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The sides - naan and rice both cooked to a high standard and the curry's were exceptional - would definitely return. Good service also, no complaints whatsoever.

Food was lovely, service was a little slow. Particularly slow when waiting on plates being cleared and to pay the bill. Had asked for the bill and card machine to come at the same time as we were in a hurry following the meal, however only the bill was brought and, after waiting sometime both my partner and I had time to use the bathrooms and chat to the table beside us before we managed to flag a member of staff down to pay.

A beautiful meal for a group who had various dietary requirements - the vegetarian menu in particular was excellent. I had fish dishes; the fish pakoras were the best I’ve ever had! Thank you to the staff for helping us enjoy our evening.

Pleasant fast service however food was dissapointing. Very little meat in curries and the Peshwari nan was particularly dissapointing with too much coconut pink paste inside.
