Nice decor. Service was good, if a little patchy depending on who served us. Starters were good, but overpriced. My steak was cold and undercooked and the mash was runny not buttery. They need to improve the lighting or make the menu easier to read as we had to use the torches on our phone to see what was on the menu. Overall disappointing for the price.

It was a lovely evening. Service was attentive, friendly. The food was exciting and different. Being from Latin America, I was curious to explore this take on some traditional dishes and it did not disappoint.

Quality has declined in every aspect. Layout and decoration look tired, service does not exist (we spent three hours and half for being served JUST ONE course, and not all the set menu!).
Food is not exciting as few years ago. Conversely, prices keep raising up.
Last time I went the place was always fully booked, and it needed a booking-notice of at least two weeks.
Last Sunday it was pretty empty.
Reasons are clear.

We had the bottomless brunch. The menu choice was good and the food excellent (tasty and fair portions). The service was first class and the cocktails flowed freely. As the restaurant got busier, the service became a little slower, however this did not negatively impact our experience. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous weekend brunch and the icing on the cake was the absolute amazing waitress, Vicky, who was attentive, fun, knowledgable and really went out of her way to make my friend’s birthday really special. I definitely recommend this restaurant and do ask to be in Vicky’s section.

the food was very good, however we had to wait 2 hours for the meal to arrive, also the menu was misleading with the Signature menu looks like it is for 2 persons but in reality it is for one person, it was a big surprise when we got the bill.

We did the lunch menu and whilst the main courses were good sizes we found the starters v small. When we inquired re the size of the dessert we were informed it was a quarter of the size of the full price dessert. Therefore from thinking it was a reasonable deal it was actually not that at all just smaller portions.

Asia de Cuba feels like it is geared up solely for the purpose of boozy brunch and so the experience is commensurate with this.

The serving staff were good and timely and they replaced and topped up drinks quickly - you shouldn’t be worried about not getting your money’s worth on alcohol. One small point was that the Bloody Mary bar was very slow - essentially you go to the bar and the server makes them for you. A better option would be for them to give you the shot of vodka and you then make your own.

The food was poor I thought - Brigadiers boozy brunch is the same price point but the food is far superior I think. The starter dishes here we’re pretty bland and pretty much just all deep fried. I had the Cuban sandwich which was very average - I think some other dishes like the salmon looked better but still lacked any real finesse.

I think there are other better boozy brunches you can find in London for the same price (£48).

It was not easy to find (hidden inside a hotel with no name or directions). The food was less than average. A tasty ceviche was let down by tasteless empanadas in heavy pastry. Dull and unpleasant beans married with poor quality tuna and a pad Thai that was under- seasoned and full of beansprouts. The coconut flan was pleasant (not very coconutty though) and the doughnuts were good.

Opted for the 3 course set menu which had good options. Only disappointment is that it was exactly the same menu that I was presented with quite a few months ago. A different menu would have been more exciting.
Starters: The calamari salad is tasty and an excellent size. The salmon starter is smaller but delicious.
Mains: Chicken is cooked to perfection, not sure about the refried beans.
Desserts: Doughnuts sounded delicious but were totally underwhelming. Would recommend the cheesecake (which isn't a regular cheesecake but more like a mille feulle) instead. They had run out of the coconut and lemongrass flan.

We had a lovely meal at Asia de Cuba on Saturday night. The food was excellent with an interesting menu and wine list, the service attentive and the ambience of this high end yet casual restaurant worked well for a relaxed birthday meal. It was a little strange when the server suggested 'salmon for the ladies' and 'ribeye for the gentlemen' - a bit stereotypical in these times?! - but maybe part of the 'theatre' of this restaurant?!
I would recommend and having had a drink at 'Blind Spot' in the St Martins Lane Hotel before dinner, it made for a very enjoyable evening.

I had been there a couple years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. My dad loves Cuba so I thought it would be nice to take him there for his birthday, however, there was a noisy party next to us. We had to move, but then sat under the air con. The waitress was brilliant though. Food was ok. Wouldn’t go back there though.

I enjoyed the food at Asia de Cuba but had it not been for Opentable, I would not have found it good value for money.
I found the lighting very dim indeed and it was therefore difficult to read the menu. My phone light came in handy but as a result my phone died!
What should have been a relatively affordable evening turned out to be a lot more expensive than I had hoped as it was a birthday treat for a friend.
This wasn't helped by the steep cost of a small glass of wine (£9)and having to pay an additional cost for veg. Five pounds for chips is a little steep. I coped with the 12.5% service but resented the fact that they added even more on top of that as a contribution towards a charity. It would have been nice to have been asked first!
On the plus side, the service was excellent as was the food. Dessert came with a nice birthday message which thrilled my friend. The surroundings was lovely and the venue had a great ambience. I would go again on another deal.

Really good atmosphere and decor, if a little noisy. Not many Vegetarian options, but they were very accommodating and can tailor-make dishes for those with dietary specifications. The best is the staff, all polite, friendly and enormously helpful. Our waitress got top marks, she was delightful, charming, funny, and provided a very professional service - if only other restaurants had this level of staff... Thank you, Asia de Cuba!

As a returnee I continue to be amazed by the attention to detail, all of the staff do a great job of welcoming you and make you feel at "Home", the menu is creative and also gives the feeling of being empowered to delve into the exotic menu choices and consult with the staff who are extremely helpful.

Food is well presented and tasty, the wine list is imaginative and reasonably priced.

Not very well signposted so pop into the St Martins Lane Hotel and they will guide you to the venue.

Mains where very good, however disappointed that they have changed the Mexican doughnuts. They were much more tasty with pouring sauce. Instead they now inject the doughnuts with the sauce, which ends up soaking into the doughnut, so they end up being dryer. Also because of this you cannot pick up the chilly in chocolate anymore. I think they should of just left them as they where. As this was the main reason for my second visit.
