The ASK Italian restaurant in Cardiff is perfectly positioned just outside the Castle Quarter, within a ten-minute walk of Cardiff Castle, Principality Stadium (formerly the Millennium Stadium) and Cardiff Blues rugby club. Outside, on the oldest arcade in Cardiff, we have an expansive dining area for eating al fresco or sipping a hot Italian coffee before heading to St David’s Dewi Sant shopping centre for some retail therapy.
Our chefs prepare and cook your favourite Italian dishes with real gusto. Risotto, pasta, stone-baked pizzas, fish and meat dishes or a seasonal salad; whatever you’re in the mood for, you’ll find it on our extensive menu of meals made with real Italian ingredients. To guarantee the perfect evening, book your table at ASK before heading on to St David’s Hall, the New Theatre, the National Theatre or Motorpoint Arena.

I'm a fan of Ask Italian and have been to a few so was really disappointed with the food in Cardiff. For some reasons all the pizzas being served are about 15% smaller than other outlets. Instantly you start thinking that the franchisee is out to improve profits and that spoilt the experience. My pizza had no pearl peppers (I guess they ran out because it was the boxing weekend) but no mention, apology, discount or anything. Side salad was flat and looked like it have been made four hours earlier. Overall not impressed. Too busy and too rushed to complain at the time. Arguing over a downsized pizza is pointless. Hostess was great, waiters looked a bit lost.
