About ASK Italian Moreton-in-Marsh

After a day’s rambling in the Cotswolds, there can be few more appetising prospects than a hearty Italian meal. We opened our ASK Italian restaurant in Moreton-in-Marsh to offer just that treat. Moreton is a pretty little market town characterised by 18th century buildings of Cotswold stone and a stopping point for travellers for centuries. The town boasts the Wellington Aviation Museum and the lovely Moreton Art Gallery, and we recommend keen walkers and those staying at the Caravan Club caravan site visit nearby Chastleton House, Sezincote House and Bourton House Garden. We source ingredients from Italy and our chefs are trained in traditional Italian cooking; so delicious risotto, pasta and pizza are essential components of a wide menu of Italian meals.

 (Washington DC)·Dined on 27 October 2017

We were visiting the Cotswolds from the US and were looking for a romantic, high end Italian dinner. We tried for two nights to get a reservation and since they were fully booked we assumed it would be just that. It was not that at all. It was packed (as expected) but full of families with small children. The volume in the restaurant was loud. It was not romantic. The food was delicious, the service was rushed with very little eye contact. The waitress was perfunctory, short and very capable. I think it was just a function of the quick turnover to accommodate all the fully booked reservations! I would suggest this restaurant for the taste of the food and to families, but not for a romantic dinner.
