ASKA exceeded my expectations. The food was exceptional, from the taste to the presentation (the towel they used as part of presentation does not look good though), and the service was excellent. The only thing that made me feel a little uncomfortable was the last course—a selection of small desserts served as a special treat for every table. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, it sounded as though the desserts were a complimentary anniversary gift from the restaurant, but we realized that they were part of the regular experience for every table. Personally, I think it would be a lovely touch if the restaurant offered a small additional treat specifically for guests celebrating a special occasion, as a gesture from the restaurant. Given the price point of a two-Michelin-star dining experience, such a small and personal gesture would make the celebration feel even more special and memorable. Overall, though, ASKA was an outstanding dining experience, and I truly enjoyed our evening there.

Service was good and attentive as you would expect at a 2 star restaurant. As for the food, I didn’t have much expectations because I’ve never tried Scandinavian cuisine before and well… the food overall was very flat. Nothing really stood out and seemed almost boring? If that makes any sense.. To clarify what I mean by flat is that it wasn’t the fact that it lacked seasoning (which a lot of the dishes were salty) but no flavor profile was impactful. Nothing stood out. Of all the dishes in the 13 course tasting, the langoustine with gooseberries was the best. Additionally in the live scallop course, I took a bite of the thinly rolled scallops and crunched on sand or shell from the scallop. It was hard and unpleasant. I didn’t bring it up to a server but very disappointing given that the scallop is the main part of the dish…. Overall wouldn’t recommend unless you’re curious like we were.

Hands down best dining experience we've ever had. Incredible food and wine as you would expect but the service/ambiance really elevated it beyond anything we've experienced in the past. Not cheap but for a special occasion worth the splurge.

Such a wonderful special evening with the team at Aska. Creative, innovative, complex, and truly wonderful creations. The room is magical. Private, serene, yet lively with great energy, which makes the experience so unique and memorable. I cannot say enough about the service and the staff who were attentive and at the very top of their game. Professional, courteous, and not overbearing. I highly recommend Aska for a special experience.

Best dining experience I had ! Place , food , wine paring were all perfect. Staff is amazingly gracious and Missy is like the expert band leader that keeps the concert going … almost feels like she’s the Natalie Merchant that never left 10000 maniacs!! Perfection! Definitely coming back !
