Aster Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Taste of the food was unbelievably authentic and inspiring!
We'll done, Finnish chef Helena, and the whole team.
Every portion looked amazing , like a piece of art, and the tastes worked so well together.
Service was excellent, all the details were taken on board.
We were very well looked after the whole evening, and we'll definitely come back soon!
Myself and 2 friends thought we'd try here for a quick Saturday lunch. We were sat upstairs. I think it was a little quieter up here as there was a live dj downstairs. We were rather envious of everyone around us as they were all drinking bubbles! (There was a very civilized group of groom and groomsmen on the next table!) We had a lovely lunch with tea and coffee. Would definitely return.
Beautiful restaurant with great cross section of food. I had sea bream with a mushroom sauce. Shouldn't work but was totally delicious. they were very helpful in catering for a vegan friend. Stunning puddings (choc /salted caramel). Super convenient for victoria station as well. Staff were v friendly and helpful.
Had a great meal with my daughter who is vegetarian. I have salmon followed by sea bream which was excellent. Madeleine had gazpacho and gnocchi veggie options not great but ok. Dessert was superb a chocolate come salted caramel pudding. Quite expensive in all cost for 2 with a bottle of Malbec was £100.
I saw this being used on Masterchef, and thought it looked wonderful. I wasn't disappointed. The restaurant is much larger than I anticipated, and is custom-built, which means that Elena has been able to create something quite unique. It is very beautiful. Everything about it goes beyond expectations, and I am returning this weekend, with my daughter. Well done - an excellent addition to great dining in central London. Alexis
Great - our third visit. This is the place we take our foreign visitors to impress them. Previously it was our food loving French friends, yesterday our fish loving Swedish friend - both have commented favourably. However one unexpected "feature" of yesterdays Brunch was a DJ bashing out pop music. Thankfully they were kind enough to turn it down when requested.
The food as always was excellent. There were three different egg based starters (Benedict, Florentine & Victoria) so we tried them all, and all were applauded. Both the ladies went for the grilled sea bream which they loved, whilst I had the steak tartare which when it is done well, as here, is amazing.
Now looking for an excuse to go again.
The food was beautifully cooked, using excellent quality ingredients and presented stylishly, matching the surroundings. We took advantage of an Evening Standard offer, which included a glass of bubbly. It was definitely good value, though had it not been for the delicious and plentiful bread, we may not have felt fully filled. The staff were extremely friendly, efficient and professional. I would certainly highly recommend eating here.
We saw this restaurant on celebrity mastership and thought that the food looked good and the chef patron came across as very friendly and fun. We had the Evening Standard Set Lunch which was excellent and very good value for money. Helena the boss is very "hands on" in the restaurant and that is probably why it is so good. She also came and spoke to us and was delightful and welcoming.
I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. An absolute gem in London
After going to taste of London this year, I had to visit this place and I can happily say I want to go here again
The food was amazing, I had the foie gras with smoked eel and apple, all 3 went so well together I could of had seconds, for my main I had the Arctic char, the flavours was like as if you was by the sea. For our sides we picked the truffle potatoes and salad with truffle dressing, I could eat the potatoes all on their own
For pudding, I had the chocolate planet with salted caramel, if you're a chocolate lover like me this was amazing
Apart from amazing food the staff were ever so friendly and helpful about the menu they were just so nice
I can't wait to come back :)
Absolutely amazing! The venue, food and staff went above and beyond in every respect and we couldn't have been happier.
Special mention to the staff who were friendly, attentive and couldn't do enough to help for the entirety of our visit. We were traveling with a disabled guest and they Went the extra mile to ensure we had an effortless experience.
The food was incredible as was the location, I can't recommend Aster enough.
Had a lovely lunch here with a friend. We went for the set lunch menu which has some interesting Scandinavian dishes on it. Neither of us were so keen on the dessert which was similar to a lemon meringue but I didn't like the base and my friend was disturbed by a frozen thing in the middle of hers. Service was outstanding even though we were in giggles over the strange dessert. The staff could not have been more attentive and they didn't charge for one of the desserts. We had a Spanish house wine which was crisp and light, ideal for lunch. I will definitely be back with more friends in the future. It is very easy to get to from Victoria main line station and tube sitting next to the Palace Theatre and has an ultra modern decor. There is a wine bar with snacks downstairs. We ate upstairs where there are also separate dining rooms for business lunches. You wont be disappointed.
