We went there for a birthday.
Amazing view, cocktails, food and music. I had the best time
I loved the octopus! The lamb was just ok. The coffee machine was broken and our waiter went downstairs to get coffee from the sister restaurant. Great service! The ambiance is amazing!!! I love all the lights. Will definitely go back.
Excellent service and food amazing ambiance
Greek food is one of my favorites since I am Greek. This was some of the worst Greek food I have ever had, and the service was lacking. The octopus appetizer was overcooked and chewy. There was no interesting flavor, but rather like eating a rubber ball. The Astra salad was good, but how difficult is it to ruin a salad? The branzino was disappointing. Our server clearly had minimal training in deboning)filleting branzino. Every single bite that I took had at least one bone. This is totally unacceptable. Further, there is an additional charge for pita bread. This is unheard of in most Greek restaurants. Astra is all outdoor seating and the views and ambiance are very nice. It's a bit loud because of the music and the setting in general. The cocktail menu is interesting and varied and I would give that high marks, but I didn't come here to have a bar experience. I came for dinner and it was more than disappointing. Service was mediocre, however the young man who was not our waiter, but was in charge of clearing the table and filling water was wonderful. My water glass was never empty. had our waiter bothered to check on us more frequently, we would have ordered more cocktails. I cannot recommend this establishment as a restaurant, but as a place with a view and good cocktails, it shines. For the price point I expected much better, and I will not be back. There are much better choices for Greek food in the Miami/South Beach area. As an afterthought, I will add that they did not inform open table that I had shown up for my reservation. So, that was additional time I had to spend corresponding with OpenTable in order to recover my points for a reservation that I did indeed show up for. I have to say though, after my less-than-stellar experience, I wish that I had spent my time and money elsewhere.
Terrific ambience on this rooftop setting. The brunch menu is a bit small but done well. Bottomless mimosas and killer bloody Mary's are a must!
The place is beautiful and ambiance is amazing. Service was horrible. It took soooo long to get each dish. Food was average minus and the bill was high. The drinks took 1 hr to get to the table and the waiter confused the drinks and had to redo them ...
Will try again , hopefully would be better next time
Perfect night with babies in Miami!
So so good!
Great atmosphere and beautifully decorated. The service was also excellent. The food was okay, but the quality of the food it’s definitely over priced.
This place is amazing! So relaxing but also full of music and great food! It wasn’t too packed with people but I’m sure that If it was, we would of still enjoyed it.
Service was not great, nor was the food for that matter. Overall, way overpriced.
Among the worst dining experiences ever in Miami. Other than the beautiful rooftop setting, there was nothing good about the restaurant. Prices were astronomical. Mixed grill ($48 for three small skewers) were inedibly dry and not even hot. (Were they cooked yesterday?) Greek salad mostly peppers and olives with few tomatoes.
Had issues with the food, but Alejandro was polite enough and did everything he could to make our experience memorable.
Great new place in Wynwood. The sea bass was amazing. The lobster pasta was not good. The hummus was amazing!!!! Rain did not stop but it was very good
Unfortunately service was extremely slow, and did not feel right! It took too long to bring down the shades for the rain not to come in and we were getting wet!
The setting is wonderful, unique and so Miami-esque! Gorgeous rooftop area, very large, with numerous areas. There is a bar, seating (under cover and out in the open), lounging areas, beautiful plantings and lighting. We really enjoyed it.
The food was all excellent but it was disappointing that the coffee machine was not functional during brunch. Coffee is essential to a Saturday morning brunch!
Valentine’s Day. The menu was set, but there were fewer options than what was showing in the OpenTable app.
The food was good quality, but absolutely not worth the price - especially because of the restricted menu.
We don’t eat shellfish, so the only thing they did for us was remove the lobster from the main entree (surf and turf), which left us with an undersized, overpriced steak.
If we had known that the menu was going to have even fewer options than what the Valentine’s Day menu shown in this app had, we would’ve gone someplace else and actually gotten the value for the $200+ bill for a dinner for 2 that we had to pay at Astra.
It was ok, they gave us a table at the entrance, even though the place was empty... we didn’t appreciate that
Cool rooftop restaurant/bar in Wynwood. The ambience is cool, decor was gorgeous, food was delish. The view of downtown Miami is worth the trip alone. The one thing they need to adjust is the music for the restaurant vs bar. It was so loud we found ourselves yelling across the table during dinner. Perfect for the bar, just need to bring it down a notch in the restaurant. Other than that, everything was fantastic. I'll definitely be back!
Beautiful view and restaurant but the Brunch is very limited no kids menu and the options are very poor.
Sat down an hour after reservation time. Terrible service. I’m never coming back.
In overall, we enjoyed the experience. The theme is amazing, the views are wonderful. Me and the hubby haven't had a date in a while, as we recently had a baby. When we arrived we were offered a table immediately next to another bigger party. To the point that it felt that if we were sitting together. When we politely asked to get moved, the hostess got unprofessional and rude and told us "no" to anything we suggested. Then I decided to go and talk to the host stand, she followed us telling my husband to be "nice to her" (I am quoting her). Once I started talking to the hostess at the stand, the other one started interrupting me and explaining what happened. Finally, a manager overheard the situation and gave us a nice table.
We informed them that we were even willing to wait until a nicer table becomes available. We spent about $200 there that night just for the 2 of us. You certainly expect a higher level of service when you are ready to spend money. Dear Astra, it is very important to train your personnel to be courteous. Even if there is "no nicer tables available". Because we will certainly not be back. We expect a smile and at least respect when we approach what is supposedly a "luxury" restaurant.
I do have to give some credit to the food quality as it was very good. To the polite manager who immediately provided us with a great table and to the bus boy on that shift, who was the only smiling person in the whole place and took great care of us.
"Greeted" (ha!) with "Everyone in your party here? Follow me." Taken to a table with wet seats. Appetizers arrived before drinks. Oysters weren't the type offered by the server and there was a debate about that. Long wait for entrees with no offer for more drinks or anything. All food was "auctioned" to us. "Who got the _____?" Entrees arrived at staggered times. Two were cold. When we asked to speak the the manager, he didn't come to the table. We had to get up to find him. All he did was take off the oysters and one entree. We didn't want free dessert....the evening was already wrecked. Despite this bad experience, the place was packed. I don't get it.
All was cery good exceot huge issue with chatging credit cards incorrectly then almost an hour to get fixed
Excellent service, food was very good. Very good music. We love cocktail kiss my coco
The ambience and place was great for drinks. The food was terrible, service was slow and inattentive and the bathroom situation is terrible.
